- We started Saurashtra tour form Rajkot, we went to Junagadh, Gir, Diu, Somnath ji and Dwarka ji then finally we reached jamnagar and ended our journey there.
This tour was started on 22nd feb 2021 and we ended the tour on 9th march 2021
Following are the places we visited as part of this tour-
Lakhota lake - This is an awesome place, locals come here to relax, spend some good time in evening and do morning and evening walk at this place.
JD bead - we had bread katka and jota here at this eatery, this was at a 15 min walking distance from Lakhota lake.
Lakhota lake we came back in the night and next day morning also we started our day from there.
President hotel - we stayed there - stay was neither good nor bad, over all little better than average, we paid rs 2000 plus tax as room tariff.
Bal Hanuman mandir - we visited this temple, since 1964 chanting of Ram Dhun is going on, this temple is right outside Lakhota lake
Ahmedabadi Dal Pakwan wala - Juna udyog - Bhareli poori and Dal pakwan - Breakfast was tasty.
Brass casting and machine making unit - we visited a unit in industrial area to see how casting happens. Brass work of Jamnagar is famous and there are many units over there that do brass work.
Brahmaniya dining hall - we had Gujarati Thali at this restaurant good food - cost Rs 160 per thali
Kala sanskruti - we saw Jamnagar Bandhani saree and Dupatta at this shop.
Mukhwas - This shop is famous at a walking distance efrom Kala sanskruti shop
Jain vijay farsan - famous sweet shop , popular for kachori and other items.

I don't want this series to end. Grew up in Gujarat but never went to saurashtra. Have thoroughly enjoyed this series. The history, traditions, food, culture. I also liked that saurashtra is so clean and less crowded than Ahmedabad.

Yes city's of saurashtra is less crowded and calm compared to Ahmedabad and surat.surely visit once to experience this part of Gujarat also.

Appreciate you taking the time to visit these wonderful places of our Gujarat. As a child I mostly went to Rajkot and Virpur and since I got married 20+ years ago I only go to Navsari and Surat as my in law’s family lives in these 2 places and I must say the places have changed since the 80’s-90’s. Many thanks for sharing your experiences during your yatra journey to Gujarat I’m still to watch many of your visit to Gujarat episodes 🕉️🙏🏼

Harishji! You badly missed Sainik School, Balachadi near Jamnagar! It was Polish refugee asylum during WW2. Nobody literally gave shelter to the Polish children during WW2 emergency but the Maharaja of Jamnagar Jam Saheb Digvijay Sinhji offering his whole palace. They stayed there for quite some time. Jam Saheb ji fully ensured security and shelter to them. years after, In 2016, Poland's Parliament adopted a special resolution honouring Jam Saheb ji for his aid to Polish children. Today there is also a place named after Jam Saheb ji in Poland 's capital Warsaw. This is quite a historic event.

Hi watching the episode remanded my garndfather left Jamnagar in 1923 and migrated to Africa Uganda. I have his Passport issued in india in1923 by British. I am 68 years old and lived in London from 1970.l have never been to india so this was special thing for me that where my ancestor came from.Brilliant vedio many thanks

@@ketanshah2314 yes Mr. Ketan Shah although I am Delhi born and brought up but I have been visiting Kolkata since I was a small kid. Its more neat and clean than Jam Nagar and no doubt more greener. And as far as taxis giving 50s vibe is a thing of proud you see. Mixture of past and present always makes you happy, don't you know.
Maliniji, it is old areas of Jamnagar. He has not covered new outskirts areas which are clean and modern. Every old areas are very dense and dirty in every Indian city .
Go in old area's of kolkata u will see worse than this
