That expanding foam technique is awesome

Yeah, it worked perfectly! They get stuck in it when it’s liquid, then as it expands it squishes them. I was surprised not even one was able to escape! I didn’t even need the suit. Not that I’d try this without one. Lol

Nicely done, the grubs are larvae that turn into more wasps, the comb is cells where the larvae live and are fed until they turn into wasps as well.

Crazy. My mom said the same things she has a hive. I had no idea the larvae would be so big. Bigger than the hornets themselves. Major learning experience. I’m glad it went smoothly!

Smoke works on bees (they all go back into the hive), but with wasps, smoke will usually make them abandon their nest.

Good too know. Thank god i didn’t really need it. I think that they got stuck in the liquid gap filler!

ChatGPT told me to stand 10 to 15 feet away and spray the nest entrance with insecticide. That seems like a lot less work.

Not sure, but maybe it is not enough?

Shop Vac half full of water, point the nozzle at the entrance of the nest amd turn on the vacuum. When they fly out, into the black hole they go.

I could see how that might work, but the other day I bumped the building with my tractor a little and went crazy! Started dive bombing me, I had to hop off my tractor and get the F outta there. Then the day before this video was shot my wife got stung. She said it was really painful and she’s a tough person. Two days later and the sting site was still hurting. I can imagine get stung a bunch of times. That could get out of hand real fast. So
I went the safe route. I knew this would work, that gave me confidence to get in there and do it. Results are there. It couldn’t of turn out better. If I have to deal
With another nest, I will do it this same exact way.
Thanks for your input though. Much appreciated!
