+greasyorc changing the sprockets still leaves the speedo accurate. The sensor on the wheel (front I think) just counts how many revolutions the wheel makes and translates that into the speed shown on the speedo. Changing the sprockets just changes the number of revolutions. So it still shows the correct speed. Changing the rim/tire however, changes the wheel's circumference, and that then makes the speedo inaccurate :)

Hard to believe a 600 can hit 180+mph!! I had an 1,105cc Yoshimura engine in a Z1, and it wouldn't go 183mph. Of course, that was back in the 80s. Progress, I guess......
r6 was one of the bikes where manufactured at the peak of supersportbikes thats why its engine was so tough enough to engage such high speed though its only 600cc
I have a 07 Yamaha YZF-R6. The only mods I had effecting performance is a Carbon Fiber Two Brothers Slip On Exhaust. It had no power commander, stock headers, stock sprockets, and stock air filter. I rammed 183mph on the highway per the speedo. Buddy on state patrol clocked me holding 168mph. I later changed the exhaust to a Full Carbon Fiber Two Brothers Exhaust System, Dynojet Power Commander 5 w/ Custom Tune, K&N Racing Air Filter, than flashed the CPU. Capped at 198mph, clocked at 191mph.

@BabyMajesty Its called head shake and its due to the the natural frequency of the bike being matched causing resonance. Only way around it is putting a steering damper on the bike.

It's not fake because he has a power commander installed it is a fuel injection controller It alters the bikes original fuel injection signal to something more optimal. The optimal setting is based upon an air /fuel ratio you use it for different performance preferences and also add a few more horsepower to make your bike faster
Top speed runs are done with little gas in the tank because of how much gasoline weights. An R6 has a 4.6 Gal tank, but gives about 44 MPG; 1/2 gallon should be more than enough for a top speed run. The extra weight of 4 gallons of gasoline compromises both acceleration (by 10ths of a second 0-60 mph) and final speed by 3 or 4 miles an hour. In Formula 1, qualifying rounds that are done with enough gas for 2 or 3 laps and times set are 4 to 6 seconds faster than in race laps with full tanks.

Um herauszufinden ob er die Geschwindigkeit wirklich gemacht könnte man das Video herunterladen und gucken was fūr eine genaue Zeit er braucht um z.b 100m zurück zu legen. Diesen Wert kann man anhand der leitfosten die in Deutschland alle in einer Entfernung von 50 m zueinander stehen entnehmen. Rechnet man diese Meter pro sek auf Kilometer pro Stunde hoch weiß man ob er einen manipulierten Tacho hat.
Nice shifting but you must use more of the front braking instaed of down shifting to slow down. Two times you skidded the back wheel because of downshifting to slow down. These bikes with ultra high compression ratios will "lock the back wheel" pretty easy when down shifting to fast. Not a good thing when hitting your turns. That r6 sounds great whith the good shifting your doing.Between 12k and 16k rpm these bikes are crazy fast. What engine mods did you do ? (as if it needs any) Nice video

this can not be stock. Yamaha R1 is a 1000 cc bike and has more horses yet it only manages 300 how can a R6 get close to it
