Excerpted from our Prairie Home Christmas show at the Town Hall in New York City on December 18, 2019.
I listened every Saturday evening. I had a Saturday night gig and listened on my way.
Just close your eyes and listen...
(Miss you, Garrison)
I wasn't born till 95, but my earliest memories are of me and my dad driving around every Saturday night, just to listen to you guys, ill always appreciate all of you from phc
Yeah, my kids got an earful. Lol!
Wow how time slips away
Guy nior and lives of the cowboys was always my favorite
From Perth Western Australia, We have missed you Garrison
I miss PHC. It was my regular 6-8 pm (EST) live radio for many years.
Same here. Now that I've had lots of upheaval in my life (who hasn't?) I'm glad to find this on UA-cam. Gives me a sense of normalcy from back in the days when there used to be humor.
Ho there from Oregon!!
Love you GK!❤
What happened to the dude - I am so glad to know Garrison came back!!
Love love love this show.
I have two sons, they remember my weird Saturday radio show indulgence.. and if I missed, I caught the replay on Sunday. But when the new dude came along ... i tuned out. Nothing, noone - just Garrison
Garrison...you are missed...no question...
Beautiful!
So glad you're back Garrison, but you've got nothing to prove. The people who are out to completely trash you won't win. Regardless of what you did, we need to remember all of the good things that you did. There was so much of your accomplishments that should never be forgotten.
I agree
And I have alot of good memories from listening to his shows since I was a teen after in the late 80s.
That guy that took over just changed everything.
And just isn't the same
This classic radio comedy and I real am glad to hear this again.
he may have retired from the actual shows but he still does the specials and so it's something to really enjoy and plus he's even done a couple things on UA-cam with everybody at home and everything it is really enjoyable to see it
Some people who judge him show that they do not KNOW him.
Anyone who knows Garrison knows he is a warm, affectionate man who conducts himself like a true gentleman.
@@SheepofTheShepherd-nu3lz same id have my portable cassette radio with me on Saturdays in the 2000s just somi could tune in 📻
@@TheSupart91 good memories i'm sure
God bless you all.
"Manifest destiny is a crock of shit" -- I couldn't agree more!
A wonderfully funny intelligent man a fan in Wagga Wagga
Hope you'll are safe and well
good to see this ....still trucking along.
Dieser Vortrag ist wunderschön.
This was interesting, but I actually enjoy listening to these skits on the radio better. These folks do such a good job at stimulating the imagination in the audible realm; seeing it all is a bit distracting.
I just listen to it like a podcast. I agree it's funnier that way; you see it much richer in your mind, whereas the visual of the company performing is weak by comparison. Like you say, they're masters at their craft.
This is irreplaceable entertainment we have lost and for what?
Unbelievable well written show. Leave it to NPR to screw it up. We really miss it in the south !
watch out pardner we got some word slinging english majors here ...
Was this the last episode of TLOTC?
I hope not, it was always enjoyable.
