Epic. Stunning. Otherworldly. If I had to try to describe riding a motorcycle across Salar De Uyuni those would be the words I start with. But really words could never do this place any justice. Not even any pictures or videos can make you understand how so extremely DIFFERENT the Salar is.
It is a constant mix of different thoughts/feelings/emotions. You are riding along and the sun is so strong that you know your face is getting burned while the salt is so white that you're being blinded by the suns reflection off of it, at the same time it's freezing and the cold salty air is whipping your cheeks raw and cracking your dry lips, all while you are taking in the surreal white-washed landscape around you as far as you can see, salt crunching under the turning wheels of your motorcycle. Your motorcycle that seems to be your only connection the the outside, "real", world and wherever you have found yourself today, this otherworldly, epic, stunning place that can't possibly, but yet somehow must, be real. It is also at 3,650m in altitude so you can feel that which adds to the whole dreamy feeling.
This is just a short video of some of the highlights of a truly unforgettable day, one of the best things I've seen or done, and not just on this trip or on a motorcycle, but in my whole life. Truly a bucket list item.
