with the dymo 450 using 99019 2-5/16" x 7.5" labels, is there anyway to make the address bigger and maybe lose the QR code? Looks very hard to read.
Maybe you can help me since I can’t find any answers. Can I print from an iPad? We purchased the Dymo 450 but I need to print off of an iPad. On the Brother printer, I am able to upload the software on my Mac and with the wifi print off of the iPad...if not from the Dymo 450, what printer would allow this?
You can't print from ipad to dymo. Brother ql1110nwb works well with ipads.

It won't be able to print FedEx or international labels. Only domestic usps.

It would depend on what you want to print and what kind of system.

Thank you. I bought the turbo for 55 dollars new on ebay and was told i got the wrong machine..... that any Dymo other than the XL was a waste of money. Was feeling sad, so its good to know the smaller model is useful.
Hello, I have a 450 currently but it's dying out. What would you suggest for an alternative? I exclusively print 2 in x 3 1/2 in appointment cards at my business if that helps. Thank you.
What do you mean by dying out? Is the print fading or failing? If so, the thermal print head needs cleaning. Dymo makes cleaning cards, or just use a generic 4x6 one cut in half. Or you can just use a business card soaked in isopropyl alcohol and run it through.

Can I use smaller labels in the 4XL?
Or, can I assume, to be able to use smaller labels in any 4x6 label printer?
You CAN print the 4x6 labels on the 450 using 4 inch long labels and setting your print to SHRINK TO FIT. Are they standard 4x6? No. But they are still completly readable and scannable by the USPS.
Never tried that before! Might have to experiment 🙌🙌 appreciate the Intel.
Will the post offices still accept and ship with the smaller labels?

When I do shrink to fit it does not work. I have to take a screenshot and save as a photo and copy into DYMO. Such a hassle. Can you give a detailed step by step so I can print on the 4x6?

What if I don’t have a computer but for my business I use Shopify can I connect my phone to it so it can print out shipper labels for my packages ? Which one would I need to get ?
As far as i can tell none of them are bluetooth so you would need a computer pretty sure. It looks like there are cheaper different brand label makers that have bluetooth

I have the 450 turbo I been printing USPS labels for about 1 year I sell on Ebay mercari and poshmark will the 2844 print on all those for usps fedex ups for those formats? If not what printer would you recommend I print from a desktop so wireless/ bluetooth is not a factor for me thanks
Mercari does not have any 4x6 formatting. You would have to do the address copy/paste by hand into pirateship and in that case your 450 turbo can print 2x7 on pirate ship.

You could get the 400 or 450 for that.
I have a Dymo 450 which I purchased second hand for 40 bucks. Having just started out on ebay I needed something and thought this was a good deal....till I watched your other videos. I haven't used it yet as My computer scrapped out on me. My question is should I invest in another type or suck it up and use the dymo who are picky about their labels or go for a better thermal option? I'm a little confused now.
$40 is a good deal for it. Use it until it breaks or jams up and frustrates you. Then smash it wish a hammer. I don't worry about non generic labels.

Have you heard of the 500 series? What is the difference?
Yes they just came out with the 550 and 550 turbo. New video coming soon! They added chips to the roll to force you to buy dymo only labels. The turbo model has an Ethernet port which is nice but the new chip feature is awful 😭. Check out the 5XL two new videos on my channel it's a bigger version of the 550.
Love CHEECENT CR202 print server, it change DYMO 450 /550 to be a WiFi printer, our office comptuers can share it now.

I just purchased the Dymo 450 twin turbo. I am producing a high volume of labels. Which printer do you recommend for high volume and also speed is very important.
Twin turbo is fine.

I am hoping that the twin turbo will do a better job. I have been thinking to purchase also a label rewinder, but they seem to be very expensive. Can you recommend any label rewinder?
@@Gottham8 The dymo 4xl only holds 220 label 4x6 size rolls, how do you print 500 labels at one time? Are they smaller labels than 4x6? I have not used a label rewinder. Maybe that will be something I need to explore =)
The size of labels I use is 2 5/18 x 4" and the roll contains 300 labels. Right now I have always to insert a new roll when the request is larger than 300 labels. I print 50 labels at the time as I do need to fold them. So if I had a rewinder I would probably print 295 labels at once and then insert a new roll. At some point I had a request about 2k labels, so the rewinder will definitely help.
What about the DYMO wireless? How does that one compare to the other options you provided?
Im not a fan of the wireless dymo.

You are welcome. Yes any size up to the max 2.4"
You can always click 4x6 in print options. Then fit to page and it will print usable shipping labels to the 2 ⁵/¹⁶x 4

Probably not. I'm not sure if Shopify can do 2x7 dimensions.
I’m going back and forth on all the Dymos - I ship with pirate ship but use Shopify platform. I want to be able to use wide format and the 2x7 labels. Which printer can I do that with?
It wouldn't be efficient to do both. You can do everything 4x6 with any 4x6 printer. The printer has to have the width for 4" to work. Hopefully that makes sense. 🙏 Thanks for watching
That’s what I want to know I sell from Shopify as well. I want to know if I have to use pirate to print the perfect label horizontally. I use 2x7 labels and they keep coming out wrong somebody help 😫

DYMO has an app on the play store. I know you said at the beginning of the video no Bluetooth. Just curious because I have a tablet. Needing to print labels for catering. Any help would be much appreciated. I know you say no android but curious if things may have changed. Or if you could recommend a tablet friendly printer.
The dymo app is completely trash. You would be better off with brother. They are black and white only.

It not required no, but they must be readable and scannable. You can print 2x7 with a 450 in pirateship
mines is printing with gaps on it how do i fix it?
It sounds like you might have adhesive stuck on your printhead and need to clean it off. These are terrible to clean unfortunately. 😭

thecollegepicker yea normal printer for fedex shipments and Etsy shipments on regular paper and then clear tape it to box.
Etsy you can integrate with pirate ship and print 2x7 more food for the dymo 400!!!

5:00 Telling us that the difference between A and B is 20 labels per minute is pretty much useless information without saying what the numbers actually are. If it's 30 vs 50, that's a big deal. If it's 900 vs 920, then not so much.
It's about 55 vs 70 labels I think. Sorry there is so much information it's hard to hit every point 🙏
Is the speed really that big of a deal unless you have a huge business? If your printing 5 labels at a time do you really need it in less then a min really a issue? Im looking to buy a cheaper label printer for ebay, macari ect. I just dont see the speed of the labels to be very big of a deal
@@raid_or_die8962 If the speed difference is 2 labels per minute vs. 22 labels per minute, it's a big deal. It's a HUGE deal. If it's 30 labels vs. 50 labels per minute, then maybe not so much. My point was that the video gave no frame of reference for the 20 labels per minute difference, so it's nearly meaningless information.

Well thats a good point the fact woulda bin helpful but for 99% of people using this for ebay, etsy, mecari or what not if you get 5 orders to fill and it takes 30 seconds per label youd be 2 and a half mins, if you dont have a single extra min of time to wait then i guess its somthing to worry about

It's in the beginning, they are essentially the same. We call them "400 series"

I’ve been wanting to get a label printer for my small business for the longest time and finally pulled the trigger. I’m glad I did ! This machine is great ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxw55tQTywUAAOsbrlwxONZULry77sFF1Q and the blue/green color matches the rest of the accents in my office. My favorite part is how small the footprint is. It’s less than 1/4 the size of my regular printer.Set up was fairly easy. Seller will email you a link with video instructions Which I found to be more helpful than the written instructions. I use a Mac and had no issues. They even included an adaptor for USB to USB-c which is great because I’m always losing mine! I had a few issues getting the labels to print properly and wasted quite a few sheets. You need to play around with the settings to get everything adjusted just right. If you have the wrong settings, it’ll crop off the edges or feed through blank labels. These aren’t issues with the machine though, just user error.
