Yeah, I think the Notre Dame game was when he had his Heisman moment. That game was against a top ranked team on the road while Fresno State was supposed to be an easy win
I think his Heisman moment was definitely this game, at least the play everyone remembers. And Fresno State was no slouch, they were highly competitive in this game
The last two games against FSU and UCLA really put the stamp because they were against top 20 teams back to back and he had 250 yards+ each game. And they were coming off a Cal game where he was just mediocre.
Very true. A fairly sloppy performance by USC that night, and only Reggie seemed to really want to win that game. The Bulldogs came to play, played tough, and came close to pulling the upset. This game also showcased SC's defensive weaknesses that year, which Texas was able to take advantage of in the RB.
The difference in the score was the pick six by Darnell Bing. However, this game turned out to be a case study for Pete Carroll's NFL level scouting and game planning analysis video software. He told Bush ahead of time that he would be getting a lot of carries. Apparently the software detected thaf Bush's rushing style would exploit the weaknesses in FSU's defense. USC's coaches were never in doubt, but it turned out very close.
Nacho Gonzaga Florida Gator fan here and hell NO. Reggie was basically Barry Sanders Lite in the sense of homerun threat and crazy athleticism. In the slot, sweep, between the tackles, godDAMN he was amazing! Maybe Michael Vick was most exciting to me but that tells you all you need to know.
He had an unfair advantage compared to the other student-athletes. Imagine having that same thought process for wealthy people. "I hate they punished the big bankers in 2009. They earned that money for sure. Who cares how they got it." It's really the NCAA we need to look at for allowing a system that takes advantage of kids in such an ugly and obvious manner. It's a level of slavery really.
Pat Hill had Fresno St believing they could play anybody anytime!!!! My heart was broken after Fresno St. lost this game. my uncles went to the game and said usc fans were biting their nails!
Greatest player in college history on the greatest team of all time. Thunder and light with lendale. The best Matt leinart.. along with mike Williams at wideout .. geezzzz
what does a person taking gifts/money have to do with their performance on the field & all the work the person put in to become a better athlete everyday
I think the speed of the NFL negated it. People talk about the Sec for a reason. The speed on defense is more like what you see in the NFL. So if a person plays in a conference where the overall team speed isn’t that great ; it makes them look really really good.
The run at 1:30 may be the best all-around run I’ve seen at the college football level. The cut, the balance, the top speed, the elusiveness, the power, the awareness, and the savviness to reach (he was robbed of a touchdown). This run best defines Reggie Bush, he was a running back who had every single physical tool and intangible at the most elite level. I don’t know if I will see another RB like him in my lifetime.
Willis McGhee and Ricky Williams were my favorite college RB's until this man came along. I think Ricky Williams may have been better, but Bush was more exciting. Adrian Peterson and Barry Sanders are still my all time favorites that played in the NFL though.
I was there that night and the crowd never sat down. It was an electric night filled with highlight reel plays every other play. It was a game like we've never seen before by a single player, but he was winning the Heisman even if he fumbled seven times in this game.
Before Saban took away all the fun. You get a final 4 of USC, Miami, Texas, Michigan would be so much more fun than the usual Bama, Georgia, Ohio state, Clemson crap that only a quarter of the country cares about. We need those flashy schools back
I remember being 12 years old and being so excited cause this game was late and I hadn’t been able to watch many games cause of pop Warner and after this game I started repping the one arm sleeve lol. I did it in every sport I played from that point on
Anothen Williams Umm I bet Vince young would agree, since he dint come close to Bush in the type of college career that he had that’s why he won the trophy 🏆 and Vince dint.
That Fresno State team was the best team in its program history, and the Bulldogs did not simply go away that night. Much credits to Bush and PC, but we had the best OC Norm Chow, whose playcalls just knocked everyone out.
Reggie was the most Electric ⚡️ College player I ever saw live. His speed was unreal!! Unstoppable!! I thought he was on his way to becoming the GOAT 🐐 Running Back of all time when he hit the NFL. Sucks he wasn’t allowed to wear his #5 back then in the NFL (no fun league) He did have a solid NFL career but never quite hit that level he did in College, what a ride glad I was there.
Everyone went out the NFL the year before. Matt was suppose to go first overall but decided to stay to play wit Reggie and try to 3 peat. Great memories man
This was a game..... Fresno St was not intimidated or scared of USC that year. I was getting ready to gp to a club in Nashville and never made it watching the 4th quarter.
That was actually the night I started to realize that Texas was gonna be an issue. We smoked every unranked team we played that year, but games against ranked teams were MUCH closer. We prob should have lost to Fresno and Notre Dame. The 2004 team seemed to be more balanced defensively than the 2005 squad, especially in the secondary. It always seemed like we underutilized Lendale White in 2005. Conversely, Texas was tested once that year, at #4 Ohio State early in the season. They absolutely SMOKED everyone else. So many missed opportunities in the BCS title game for USC...I still struggle to watch that game.
Ah, the good old days, when the PAC 12 was still relevant . . . and SC was king of the mountain. Well, the NCAA was successful at destroying the Trojan program.
This is the game as a Texas fan where I realized USC's defense was trash and wouldn't be able to stop us if we met in the Championship game. I watched with my family and we all just smirked at each other. 😏🤘🏾😆
I still think 2005 USC had the most potent offense in NCAA history. Not the best team over all since their defense was mediocre and it cost them vs Vince Young but damn that offense was ridiculous.
Which single-game performance would you like to see remembered next?
Harris Highlights Tim Tebow, Sam Bradford or Mark Ingram
Sean Taylor vs fsu
Denard Robinson 2011 comeback against Notre Dame (the first ever Michigan night game)
Harris Highlights Johnny Manziel vs Alabama 2013
Trayvon Boykin vs Baylor 2014/15 I think super nasty weather double OT or more
My boy Reggie had the Heisman locked up before this game. lol Incredible performance for sure. I'll always remember watching it in person.
Very true. But looking back at his schedule, this is the one I think that made him a guaranteed lock. I'm jealous bro that you got to go to this game!
Harris Highlights The Bush Push is probably the most well known play from that season.
The last two games against FSU and UCLA really put the stamp because they were against top 20 teams back to back and he had 250 yards+ each game. And they were coming off a Cal game where he was just mediocre.
As pre-teens and teens; 90 babies know how real Reggie Bush was in mid ‘00s...NCAA legend no question💯
I was 16 in 2006 so yes I agree with your comment
Without that performance USC loses...Fresno St came to play that game n had a pretty gd team
PNAS99 Don’t forget Reggie fumbled twice I think.
Very true. A fairly sloppy performance by USC that night, and only Reggie seemed to really want to win that game. The Bulldogs came to play, played tough, and came close to pulling the upset.
This game also showcased SC's defensive weaknesses that year, which Texas was able to take advantage of in the RB.

USC's coaches were never in doubt, but it turned out very close.
If it wasn't for Reggie Fresno would of smoked USC that night.
Big facts
Nope
Fresno was putting up points, just couldn’t stop Reggie
Never
Probably the most exciting collegiate player I've ever seen.
Wolverinefangowings he is to me
Tim Tebow?
Nacho Gonzaga Florida Gator fan here and hell NO. Reggie was basically Barry Sanders Lite in the sense of homerun threat and crazy athleticism. In the slot, sweep, between the tackles, godDAMN he was amazing! Maybe Michael Vick was most exciting to me but that tells you all you need to know.
No question about it.
Vince young ?
I hate that they took his heisman away. He earned it for sure. Who cares how they got him to usc
whyte was more productive for usc. bush was more hype. ask the saints.
Um, most people care...
I actually agree with this because Auburn paid like 90 grand to get Cam Newton and the NCAA never did jack shit to Auburn or Cam Newton.
USC did not pay to bring RB TO USC. Wannabe AGENTS with NO TIES to USC paid to get him to LEAVE EARLY. How can you people not comprehend this fact?
Reggie also made the one sleeve popular because his other sleeve was ripped off 👌🏿
Jerome Rashad 1:43
Jerome Rashad facks
Jerome Rashad what is that profile picture lol
Yep I remember beginning to wear the one sleeve after this game
Nigga Iverson made that sleeve pop. Stop it
Came back to this after the awesome news of Reggie getting his award back! ✌️✌️✌️
When usc was college football
You mean "when USC was cheating at college football"
@@thomasanderson6426 you think other organizations weren’t playing their players? It happens in high school and it definitely happens in college
@@thomasanderson6426 lol you simpleton
I Remember Being 10 Years Old & How Reggie Bush Alone INTRODUCED Me To College Football
Sameee haha
same!
Same thing happened to me when I first seen Peter Warrick play. I was ten
Damn Fresno state played them tough.
2:58 my favorite play of all time. Used to try to recreate that run on the playground all the time
Reggie Bush was a god on NCAA he made it look even easier in person smh .
Reggie in my mind without a doubt was possibly the most explosive gifted rb I ever seen in college football. There was truly no one like him
Pat Hill had Fresno St believing they could play anybody anytime!!!! My heart was broken after Fresno St. lost this game. my uncles went to the game and said usc fans were biting their nails!
Let’s give credit to the line men and the full back
The Line was HOLDING ALL NITE LONG ! The REFEREES were GARBAGE.
im sure Bush gave them their due credit
Greatest player in college history on the greatest team of all time. Thunder and light with lendale. The best Matt leinart.. along with mike Williams at wideout .. geezzzz
what does a person taking gifts/money have to do with their performance on the field & all the work the person put in to become a better athlete everyday
Fresno had that game
I'll always remember this game because of Bush and how Fresno State almost pulled off the upset in the coliseum.
I thought Reggie bush was going be the best running back ever...
I think the speed of the NFL negated it. People talk about the Sec for a reason. The speed on defense is more like what you see in the NFL. So if a person plays in a conference where the overall team speed isn’t that great ; it makes them look really really good.
You've been a machine with these frequent uploads bro
I remember seeing him play in high school BEAST!!!
Last years rose bowl, Sony Michel the game that got him drafted in the 1st round
Sony Michel was talented himself. He was getting drafted in the 1st or 2nd round round regardless
A really amazing explosive and phenom athlete
Really humble and good looking from outside in
Fresno State: We can slow down Matt Leinart and score alot on their young inexperienced defense
Reggie Bush: Hold my beer because I'm underaged
Reggie Bush made me recognise and start following American football (mostly college). A Brit who studied at USC back in the day!
So wild to see Fresno state ranked. Rarely see the Bulldogs like that
I used to love to see this guy run that football it make it look so easy that was and his prime
These were the best college days! Every Saturday soccer game over watch the USC kicking ass!!! 5 and 11!!!
Reggie accidently created the shooter sleeve look we see today. haha
Go dogs 🐶 looking forward to Fresno state football this upcoming season. #BulldogBornBulldogBred
Willis McGhee and Ricky Williams were my favorite college RB's until this man came along. I think Ricky Williams may have been better, but Bush was more exciting. Adrian Peterson and Barry Sanders are still my all time favorites that played in the NFL though.
I used to LOVE watching him when I was in high school! It was tough to catch him, because I was in Georgia, and the games were so late.
I saw this game live at home at 11pm that night because I live in nyc I was 16 .. it was amazing I will always remember that .
I was there that night and the crowd never sat down. It was an electric night filled with highlight reel plays every other play.
It was a game like we've never seen before by a single player, but he was winning the Heisman even if he fumbled seven times in this game.

“What Heisman?” - NCAA
I remember being 12 years old and being so excited cause this game was late and I hadn’t been able to watch many games cause of pop Warner and after this game I started repping the one arm sleeve lol. I did it in every sport I played from that point on
Never cared for college football until Reggie. He's the reason I became a USC fan✌️✌️✌️
Best college football player the past 20 years.
Watching this game live was BEYOND AMAZING. GLUED TO THE TV WATCHING THE BEST College RB EVER!!!!
I’ll never forget as we were leaving the stadium was all chanting Reggie! Reggie! Reggie! It was tremendous
Y’all remember his high school highlights? 🔥
They were nuts
I remember watching this game, I had just moved to Seattle from Texas. I was praying that Fresno would win!
Remember this game it was a gem! FSU almost had a major upset on prime time, great game! 💯
The way he just takes off... now I understand why the 40 yard dash I so important!
The man single Handedly had the city LA littt....
3:00-3:03 nice hold
leg rape
Fresno was never the same after this game.
neither were my trojans, we get exposed!
I was there that night on the sidelines. Bush was always amazing but especially that night.
Best college player EVER💯💯
Umm Vince Young disagrees
He's no Barry Sanders.
BIG Facts, No Lie
Anothen Williams Umm I bet Vince young would agree, since he dint come close to Bush in the type of college career that he had that’s why he won the trophy 🏆 and Vince dint.
Ummmm vince won a national championship too. What are you talkin bout?
That Fresno State team was the best team in its program history, and the Bulldogs did not simply go away that night. Much credits to Bush and PC, but we had the best OC Norm Chow, whose playcalls just knocked everyone out.
That was a really good Fresno State team damn! Forgot about that year!
I have yet to have see a college RB this damn good since Reggie bush
You guys left out the punt return he had that night ….Cmon
Unpopular opinion but I think Vince Young still should have won that year, or at least very well could have even prior to the Rose Bowl
So we aren’t gonna give the bulldogs love? They fought their asses off that night. They should of won
Ppl forget that Fresno was the #16 ranked team at this moment and was 8-1 they were no slouch. And he made em look like a junior college scout team 😂
Had every kid in the world thinking they can flip the the field in backfield...best college rb ever
I would’ve loved to tailgate and watch theses games while he played here
Reggie bush was the first video game back ever witnessed on a national level hardly ever touched at USC..
Reggie Bush was simply awesome
Best running back of the country
Watching Reggie Bush and Adrian Peterson in 2005 was a candy sweet treat.
That year, USC had a lousy defense.
Everyone went out the NFL the year before. Matt was suppose to go first overall but decided to stay to play wit Reggie and try to 3 peat. Great memories man
I’m 33 and have to say Reggie is my favorite college football player I ever watched
He was so fire in college
Reggie "Bust"!!
Man - the cutback TD was the best ever.
But Vince Young sure showed who should’ve won the Heisman in the natl championship 😉
The reason I had season tickets. Reggie Bush. Give that man his Heisman back!
This was a good game. Fresno State stayed in the game til the end. USC just had more talent.
This was a game..... Fresno St was not intimidated or scared of USC that year. I was getting ready to gp to a club in Nashville and never made it watching the 4th quarter.
Side note: had no idea Fresno state was good that year. Who was on that team because they really were close to the upset
Not a lot of NFL star power a few guys made it to the nfl but it was a veteran team.
REGGIE BUSH WAS A FANTASTIC PLAYER.
This was awesome, but getting up after that Sheldon Brown hit against the Eagles and winning was the Reggie Bush moment for me lol.
At 2:08 dis nigga cut back on dat defender like barry sanders
Nice video. The glory days 😁
That was actually the night I started to realize that Texas was gonna be an issue. We smoked every unranked team we played that year, but games against ranked teams were MUCH closer. Conversely, Texas was tested once that year, at #4 Ohio State early in the season. They absolutely SMOKED everyone else. So many missed opportunities in the BCS title game for USC...I still struggle to watch that game.
Considering Fresno State was a small school compared to USC, I think they hung in there until the end
Ah, the good old days, when the PAC 12 was still relevant . . . and SC was king of the mountain. Well, the NCAA was successful at destroying the Trojan program.
Vince should have won the Heisman

2:02 Cmon dude lmfao! We know it was a good play, but jesus. These announcers sometimes say the craziest shit.
4:50 oh he has more than a couple to atone for my friend😠😠
5:18
Fresno state been nasty for the longest they were winning the damn game haha
I'm watching this 24 hours after Reggie Bush got his Heisman back and rightfully so.
Favorite college athlete I've watched.
Check out Peter Warrick
The greatest RB I've ever seen play
Barry Sanders has entered the chat
Half way into the video I forgot this is just one game
I still think 2005 USC had the most potent offense in NCAA history. Not the best team over all since their defense was mediocre and it cost them vs Vince Young but damn that offense was ridiculous.
Give props to Fresno state they were no slouch back in the day
Greatest college football team ever! ✌🏾 fight on
You came for 2:59
2nd favorite college player of all time after Michael Vick
