Do you realize you created a system the allows a DeWalt table saw, with potentially inaccurate miter slots, to operate with precision because of your build that lives on the left of your saw? Everyone knows these DeWalt table saw tops have inaccurate miter slots because of the grey coating. This solves the problem of my 2 year quest. I was going to re-top the table top surface but not after watching this. You should make a video that directly is targeted to people that loose sleep over this. I made a drill press top and it was not perfect and all because of my table saw. Fix this and everything else is true. Bravo Paoson Woodworking! Problem, solution solved! AWESOME!!!
I just finished watching all 6 parts. I have to say that you are an amazing craftsman. Your engineering and design is fantastic. I already have a large shop here in the states, but I really got pulled in by your professionalism. I will not be building the bench, however I did share it with my son. He is going to purchase your plans for his garage shop. I will watch your other videos for ideas for my own shop. Take care and Happiness is making sawdust.
I havent seen you before here, you were just like other known woodworker,Matias wandel , john heist and wilkerson, and others , you are good as well as them. I salute
I already have your plans, and unfortunately, I have to wait a while to build this. Every new video in this series is making me more and more glad I chose your plans. I also have a Metabo table saw, which has a very similar fence as your saw, so I will be looking forward to that build as well.
Love this idea. It's not exactly what I need but, I can adjust it to make it work for me. Love your craftsmanship and attention to detail. Just a great, great compact design that is SO multi-functional and acts much larger than it is. Love it. Thank you from the US!
Thankyou! I do lots of woodworking and have quite an unusual project. I am fixing up a sewing machine cabnet and this will be perfect for the wood flap that needs something to hold it up once open. Will have to make 1 cut to accommodate over hang but anyways thankyou!
Pretty amazing design! I would suggest making those folding outfeed wings longer to support sawing full sheets of plywood without tipping. Maybe a secondary folding layer to the wing could be engineered on a piano hinge? Or even just a few extention rods that would pull out from the extention wing. Just enough to prevent longer cuts from tipping off the extention wing. That could be dangerous as you reach over the blade. Just some ideas for improvement.
Nice thought, I would rethink that design for the outfeed table, for light work yes. Unless I am missing something, the hinge/brackets look (to me) to be undersized.. The concept is sound though.. Sorry to sound critical.. I enjoyed watching.. Thank you for sharing..
Great idea and Craftsmanship the system appears to have reduced the noise of the Dewalt Jobsite Saw a great deal and that’s a nice feature also i would like to do something similiar for the SawStop Jobsite saw but i’m not quite sure on what fence i can utilize
That is amazingly excellent work! I have just placed an order of those brackets through your link. I am considering setting up a small workshop, so your plans and videos befit my envisaged small workshop. I wish I could like your video 1k times
Beautiful work. This is very nicely thought out and engineered. One question I have is, every time you remove the sled or fences, how do you go about squaring them to the blade/router bit. I know modularity comes at a cost, but how much time do you burn by moving between operations?
Great job! Very nice series! Have you ever thought of building some support in the front part of the saw? I mean, help to support the feeding of the wood piece into the saw. I have the same saw and always think about that, but never came to a conclusion. Looking forward the next video of the series.
We kept finding we needed a folding table. This is so easy to store. ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxStL0QRChBju4aQlnTrRgBZvafFog0KU3 Opening and closing is easy as well. It has a great handle for carrying around the house. Its pretty lightweight and slides around easy. We bought it for our daughter’s first sleepover. Breakfast was a blur - but 12 7-8 year olds fit at the table with room to spare. We used it at thanksgiving and 6 adults fit comfortably on each side plus 2 on either end for a total of 8. Super easy to clean up afterwards as well.
Bonjour. Superbe projet. Merci beaucoup. Très beau travail
I bought these plans and WOW! For the low cost, you get SO much! I have paid for other plans as well, and none of them have ever been this detailed, awesome and thank you for all the work! QUESTION: For the outfeed table, is there a reason you didn't make it deeper? In the Sketchup plans, it is 400mm but the side table is 661mm. I'm planning on making the outfeed same as the side support folding section but wanted to know if there was a reason you didn't make it longer?
I've purchased many different types of those lift up (folding) style supports, and none of them are ever square/flat when locked in place. So it requires a bunch of shims, or a pre-built system that allows me to measure h9w many degrees off it is from 90. I used a $130 pair on a fold out shower chair, and they are square, but also super heavy (58lbs for the pair) and costly. Has anyone found a decent priced version that doesn't require a whole day to make your outfeed run true?
i really love this construction. but i stumbled upon a bigger issue with the guides of the fence. In your build the guides are being blocked to the left of the saw (5:41) by the sled. do you have to measure the width manually now (because you are using the third pair of fence lock screws - that are probably for guiding the wood left to the saw) ? or did you glue on a third ruler next to two that came with the saw/fence?
I think you mentioned a ‘soft start module’ that you installed on the table saw- can you provide more information such as: does it actually help soften the start-up, source for the part etc Thanks-
What for a great project !!!! Genius !!! Just please tell me which new fence for the table saw you are going to mount, because i want to change the fence of my table saw too. Thank you for your reply.
Hello, I want to ask about the boards you use - white surface and black interior (time 8:05) and wooden surface with green interior (time 4:24) , because I did not see such in our stores ... TYVM

unfortunately i have an old delta/rockwell home craft saw and the motor hangs out the back any one have an idea about how to make a folding outfeed or think i will just have to have an aux table??? i have added a 3/4in thick side table that fit between the fence rails planning on putting a router in someday
Love the woodwork but that has to be one of the worst places to have a wood counter. The grease splatter and heat transfer from that stove is going to wreak havoc on that wood
I am from Canada and I completely understand you on this, but the thing is, the thickness of the boards are in metric, even over here... so it would be very hard to make imperial plans that would take that into consideration without having 1/64th for example. Your best bet is to buy a metric tape (which aren't that rare) and work with that. Your tablesaw should have both measurements on it anyway, it shouldn't be an issue. Also, as Paoson states in his plan articles, you can change the dimensions in both AutoCAD and SketchUP for Imperial.
Does anyone know what the specific name of the material is for carriage, side shelf, and rear shelf? The name of the material isn’t shown in the plans. Thanks!
This is a pretty solid little workbench. While once you figure out how it comes together, it is physically Easy to assemble ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxyFZUPFEey-PuqsPMxqaykBhgA1LWxFHh by yourself. But the diagrams explaining the steps are really pretty bad. I could not get the handle pins in all the way despite multiple attempts, so I just used a screw I had on hand for the 2nd handle. I could not get the first pin in further or pull it back out. You are supposed to hammer it in, but I had no leverage and the handle is plastic and I did not want to risk breaking it. I will get a lot of use out of the bench because of the convenient size and height. It does fold up nicely for storage. They even explain how to fold it so you don't get pinched...that is important!

Once it's completely done, this might be the most functional table saw/router station available for someone to build. Can't wait to see the rest.
thanks Mike!
It’s the best mobile saw table, it’s amazing. Thank a lot that share your experience & drawings! You’re the best!

Hi, what material dod you use for those extensions? Is it a composite board?
hi, that board is called Compacmel.
This seems to be a European made product. You can probably use laminated melamine instead if you're in the U.S.
What material did you use for the top?
Does anyone know the name of the material that he uses as a tabletop at the router and in other places which looks like white plywood?
