Frida's acting skills were prominent in the music videos. From her emotional delivery of "Fernando" around the campfire, to the woman searching for evidence that her partner is cheating in "I Know There's Something Going On". Frida always captivated me so much that I would forget I was only watching a performance and not a real-life event.
She also showed her comical sense in the head over heels video. Dragging poor Bjorn on a shopping spree and making hilarious faces at the camera. The camera loves her
I always thought that Frida was born for a musical. Her voice is different in every song and yet so recognizable. (I Wonder, Let the music speak, Visitors, Me and I, etc.) It's a real shame that she didn't participate in the musical Ches.
Thank you for this, some great footage and photos I have never seen before. Love finding out new facts about ABBA memebes after all these years of being a fan!
Very interesting. I think Frida was a very good and natural actress and it's to bad she didn't take it serious and do more. she was quite good and I think she could have been quite successful.
As a swede who is very much into old swedish movies, I feel abashed about not having heard of Gå på vattnet om du kan. Lena Nyman is so talented and one of my favorite swedish actresses. I met Stig Björkman in 2017 at a midsummer gathering but didn't know much about him at the time. If I knew about this movie I'd have asked him about how it was to work with Frida. I've been trying to get hold of a copy of Pokerfejs but it has only been released on VHS and is extremely rare to find. The last time I saw it being sold, many years ago, it went for over 1000 SEK
Honestly I think she was quite good! As performers, both she and Agnetha already had the stage prescence. It was probably (somewhat) easy to treansfer it over to film/television. Frida was also a regular on some variety shows, wasn't she?
Lena Nyman, who played the sick woman in that first clip, was one of Sweden's most well known actresses. She also had a part in Raskenstam that also featured Agnetha.
0:47 wow!i love those alternate shots from the 'Voulez Vous' photo sessiins!I've seen them in the precious archive of the great Stefan and Raffaels site.In fact some shots i like even better than the one used for the VV cover.Same goes for the photo sessions of the' Waterloo' album's cover.Seen them all there too..
6:39 since you mentioned the period of 'Joker Face" near the time of Frida's recordings for the 'Shine" album....one of ma faves from in there was 'Slowly".Now this song became a hit for the Latin American act 'TImbiriche' with the cover title 'Muriendo Lento" back in 1993.A smash no1 hit in Mexico as well as a hit in a couple of other L.American countries. The cover though was made upon the intrumentation of Gemini's version.Imo Frda's /Steve Lilywhite's was far better.
Cool ! thanks BB. I would like to see that comedy film with Frida, is it on line ? I love the black n white photo of the throngs of people in line to see ABBA THE MOVIE. Do you know what country this photo was taken ?
When I was a kid I watched in the old internet this fragment of the 1979 swedish movie without knowing anything of swedish language , and I was thinking it was the swedish version of The Exorcist 😂 with Frida as the mother , and the sick girl as Megan 😅
Don't get me wrong but when i first saw Frida's looks back in 1978 i had the feeling that she was Spanish not Scandi as oposed the the other 3 members.Same thing is what my father had thought who was a big fan of her looks.
"I'm Still Alive" is a beautiful song. I listen often, and sometimes it gets stuck in my head for days :) Agnetha harmonises wonderfully with the backing vocals. I realise this video focuses on Frida, but I couldn't help but comment
Thank you for the information about amazing Frida.
Thank you so much for this video, showing us Frida's films. I had never seen this before. Well done as always.

😅
that was excellent - can these girls be anymore talented , beautiful and their voices and the class they posses , great video
Thank you very much for all the information you're giving us about ABBA and solo career.
Thank you B.B.! I’ve been wondering if the women of ABBA ever acted in any movies or plays. Thank you again for another job well done! 😄
Their voices blend so well together, it feels almost divinely inspired, but nothing stays the same.
Frida did more movies than what Agnetha did Frida can play good rolls and still can sing she is very talented
Merci Bobby. Très intéressant. Frida a tellement de talent. ❤❤
Really interesting. I had no idea that Friday had made films too. Thanks for sharing, BB. 🎥
Thankyou
Frida is so versatile her personality makes her look sound and her sense of humour with voice are investable combinations for performing ❤
Oh My God How Many Works!!! 😍Fabulous Frida!!! 🙌

As always, BB, thorough research and great presentation.
Another fine research piece! Thank you!
Thanks a lot, loved this.
I did not know about any of these films. Interesting video.

With that classic face, she was ideal for movies.

Nice work 👍, actually, things I've never seen, thank you

Haha, LOL. Made me laugh out loud.
R.I.P Magnus Härenstam!
Does anyone know what places in Spain the first Frida movie was filmed?
Sevilla

I really enjoyed this video! Frida is really talented...and a great actress!
Stay safe,

I agree with you, but you could have written this in a video related to Agnetha, there are quite a few here.
I would choose Agnetha for dramas and Frida for comedies.
