I make octopus every few months. My husband loves it. Its expensive here in 🇨🇦. When you take the camera to show us we see nada lolol maybe your using a different camera? Love your videos. Sometimes I do it in the oven.
Thank you so much for these recipes. 30 years ago I was dating a young man from the Azores, his mother's cooking was divine. I am always looking for the dishes she prepared but most videos are in Portuguese. Today I found you, and am delighted beyond belief.
Ohhh man my mouths watering at 8 a.m my entire life my dad made this exactly like you did excellent job this is the perfect Azores way. Terceira,Sao Miguel, thank you for doing it right, delicious.......

Made this today Angela. After reviewing you recipe it all came back to me. I'm 75 and now have to refresh the old memory if I haven't made in a while. My octopus was so tuff. I had to simmer for over 2 hours no kiddin. I also had to add some serafood stock and shnrimp buillon cubes , and a teaspoon of better than buillon seafood flavor to get a decent flavor. In the end it was delicious . The octopus my husband bought was not from Portugal for sure. tough and very little seafood flavor but we pulled it off with the expertise of a chemist! Do you have a email Angela ?
It's pretty much where I make it too but I do a quick boiling before I cut the octopus was much easier and also clean the bone and the eyes I do quite often but thank you for your recipe
I love polvo guizado but i don't always find it where i live, i do it pretty much the same way you do it, the only thing i add is black pepper and a bit of paprika, thank you for the video
Hi Angela, I love all of your videos! FYI: the plural word for octopus is "octopi" not "octopuses".... I thought you might like to know or maybe not! Hehehehe!
Would love to make this, but you give no measurements of ingredients, also do not know where i can get portuguese pepper sauce, you give no substitutions.. Please give detailed ingredients and measurements!
What you call bellybutton is really the mouth of the octopus. Also in the cap of the head is two spines to be removed. Just thought you'd like to know.
We here also love Octopus, Thank you for sharing.
I love octopus stew....my Aunt on Santa Maria makes this amazing dish...so tender! I miss her cooking and my moms! 😪

Would it come out the same i have no red wine
It would be fine with white wine too.
😋😋❤️❤️
What I do is put the parsley in a glass with water and cover it with a plastic bag, it lasts almost a month😊
I do that way too ,it really lasts over a month
☺
It’s not a belly button it’s the mouth of the octopus 🙂
Hi I noticed that you didn't remove the 2 bones that is inside the head
It’s the beak or the mouth. 🤙
Would love to make this, but you give no measurements of ingredients, also do not know where i can get portuguese pepper sauce, you give no substitutions.. Please give detailed ingredients and measurements!
There is a full recipe under description with measurements. You can add any other pepper sauce you like. I use what I have.
