thank you ActionKid for this new video . I love New York
Such a relaxing ride on the ferry! I'll have to put this on my list of things to do. Thanks for posting, AK!
I definitely gotta get on the ferry at my hometown Rockaway Beach Queens New York!!! WOW!!!
NYC should give you the Key To The City award.
A) Smart way to travel during hot days B) Beautiful views always from the East River and Upper Bay.
Great to see New York Harbor, Brooklyn Waterfront, the old Brooklyn Army Terminal, Verrazano Bridge, Coney Island (and parachute jump). That ferry has some speed to it. "Anchors Aweigh!"
Do you know the name of the other bridge? Thanks.
Believe I read it averages some 20 kts./hr., which is faster than most of the subway trains. Great alternative, as long as weather is conducive.
greetings actionkid from the south west of France ,nice trip I was in coney island beach aquarium in OCTOBER 2018 , I saw the weel and the rollercoaster and i remenbered....
Awesome! Awesome video thank you Actionkid! You're just the best UA-camr ever, what can I say! 🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️👌👌
Ak !! ... last year I made that same trip to Rockaway Beach !! ...⛱💝💝👌😊
So calm and relaxing on the water! Such simple beauties. Great video AK!
Nice ride, I love it very much. Thanks, AK.
You’re welcome!
The two bridges you see the first the verrazano was once the longest suspension bridge connecting brooklyn and staten island and the second the gills hodges connects brooklyn and the rockaway queens peninsula.
Thanks for doing this! Was cool 😎 seeing that tug by the bridge!
New York can be very peaceful and relaxing. Enjoyed the video.
It can be if you know the places to go
Wow, these ferry boats have caught on Big time. If i'm able to get out of this cov. alive, when I come back home to NY to visit I'm going to ride them. Thanks ActionKid for the ride.
Thanks for the trip of this boat it was great, greetings from Berlin

Parachute Drop enters. My great aunt went on that many moons ago. She also won 2 Collies on the price is right ! 1901-1991. She taught piano 65 years@ Aunt Ruth✔
Awesome!
Very nice, calm and relaxing ride. It's pretty safe to say then that cruise ships don't operate in that stretch of water - the bridges would be too low.
i was on that ferry last july to jacob riis park rockaway, i remember how fast it was greets from Liverpool England
This is different. Amazing to watch. Enjoying the views, sea and Ferry ride👍
I used to run from rockaway to brooklyn and back with a weight vest between fort tilden and floyd bennett flatbush brooklyn .
108th st. Where they're landing was a summer basketball mecca for many baller aspirants and many pros played there.
Gil hodges is a center lift bridge under which I used to fish as a child.
Moses in creating the triborough bridge eliminated a ferry slip in the dead of day stranding the ferry company passengers who'd bought a crossing from manhattan to astoria . That's how powerful an influence he was on car and automotive . In fact when most countries begged off the 64 worlds fair he had auto and tire companies fill their spaces.
hello i enjoy your videos very much but could you please narrate more of your videos we get so much more out of them because you are so good at explaining locations which is so much more informative and enjoyable to us. thanks, russ.
It was great to see the city from the water. I forgot how LONG THE ride was!😲👍
Thanks AK
Hi Actionkid
Great video I love taking the ferry is so relaxing and the sights are awesome NICE!🥰
So funny to see this come to fruition, growing up in Brooklyn i always wondered why the city didnt take more advantage of its waterways. In the past New Yorks water ways was teeming with boat activitiy, granted it was a much different world than it is today, but in regards to ferry service i was always dumbfounded why the city lacked so greatly. sure their was the circleline that serviced Staten island and NJ into manhattan. but their were so many other areas i felt could benefit from such service. i guess the trains benefits of being subterrainean and out of the immediate weather elements saw it a better service than being on the water in those winter months. But if Bloomberge and Deblasio did anything right was to finally bring much needed travel infrastructure beyond the standand trains and busses. At least for the warm weather months, this makes for a truly fantastic mode of travel, considering the cost and what you get to see. and notably be delivered too.
ACTION KIT, AWESOME VIDEO 📹 CONGRATS 💯 💯 💯
thanks for the ride along!! looks like a great day for a ride on the Ferry
its great video from you man take care
Nice video AK 😎! That must of made a refreshing change to walking the hot streets 😅😛
NYC could be the venice of america with its 4 island counties connected to the bronx. ferry service used to be the only connection before moses created most of the bridges and tunnels .
Slightly odd question, but do all Ferry piers in the system have a sign identifying which pier it is inside the gate line
The reason I ask is you can get a Guinness record for visiting them all and for the equivalent subway record they ask for photos of every station. They will almost certainly do the same for the Ferry system, but I've noticed a couple of them don't seem to have a named sign inside the gate line
What a great boat ride. Was this trip also only $2.75? I can't wait to get back to NY and ride the ferries. Thank you for sharing.
PS - I just watched a movie called The Other Guys from 2010. I give it 2.5 stars. Anyway, thanks to your videos, it was the first time I've watched a movie filmed in NY and recognized most of the locations.
The beach in rockaway has fine sand and the peninsula has survived multiple hurricanes and plane crashes.
I have seen this frozen over and have ice skates in the close in channel portions.
Notice how this ferry is in excellent condition because it costs money, yet they can’t even get rid of the urine smell off the REAL Staten Island Ferry.
Love the ferry video!
The only project he was ever stopped on was the Brooklyn battery bridge by by eleanor roosevelt and the navy department so he built a tunnel instead.
Nice this reminds me of Norfolk va. We took it once when we were kids
was gonna do sandy hook but might do this instead next week vacation nothing else to do
holy crap at that return line! better go on a weekday lol
Moses made nyc its modern day equivalent holding 13 commisionerships simultaneously . Closest thing to a russian czar .
Super thank you for this video! You are my hero heh :)
Start around 30:15. Good video. Thanks for sharing. Peace.
Kudos to Actionkid ⭐⭐⭐
Excellent work 👍 👍
🙌
Thanks Ak. I saw you in a Sarah's Live vídeo, from China town, you are in everywhere 😃,,,,,,good footage this video, ¿ How much the round ride ?, Greetings from Chile.
Roundtrip fare is $5.50.
people here gain 5 pounds a decade i swear. it’s the weather, im in a mood
So nice
When I lived there, the City was still taking the garbage out on barges to dump in the ocean.
when i lived there new york city was still owned by rockefeller
What a time!
Anyone know the price of one trip or round trip? Tysm!
I wondered the same?
2.75$ for a one way ferry ticket, doesn't matter which stop you get on or off (+1$ if you wanna carry a bike whit you)
Marta Martinez Reinon thank you so much!
ActionKid, make note in your schedule and research about it. If you ever go there, make a comment.
On March 25, 2021, it will be the 110th Anniversary Marked Of New York's Infamous Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire.
I must go to NY after the pandemic and I intend to make a short film at NYFA about that event.
Firefighters worked to douse the flames at the Triangle Shirtwaist Company in the Asch building at the corner of Greene Street and Washington Place.
Workers were locked into the factory during their shifts, preventing escape.
New Yorkers watched in horror from below as workers leapt to their deaths from the windows above.
Asch building, the infamous Triangle Shirtwaist Factory fire which killed 146 immigrant workers, most of them young women.
Public outcry over the tragedy led to nationwide debate on workers rights and safety regulations and helped pave the way for strong workers unions.
Thank you!
I just watched the docu movie on that Triangle factory tragedy ..so sad that it's a true story!
12:52 was trying to figure out that mini beach. Its called Louis Valentino Jr park and Pier. You're welcome 🤣🤣
Awesome!
Red hook first stop
how often does the ferry run?
Free cruise for 2.75 lol
Not to get political but there was a Trump boat caravan yesterday July 19 2020 around the Statue of Liberty. did you get a chance to see it?
No, I wasn’t in the area then.
👍
Is it expensive to take this?
😃👋👌💝
