Some great recommendations. Love your videos. I’d also say that any trip to Liverpool should include taking in the Crosby Parkrun which includes running between the 100 or so iron men - the Anthony Gormley statues. It’s worth checking that the beach course is running since occasionally a high tide means they have to run an inland course
My regular is Burnham-on-Sea ParkRun, Somerset, held at Apex Leisure Park. Partly park, partly riverside and, of course, seaside promenade. Surfaces vary.
I've done a couple of coastal parkruns Morecambe & Minehead. Both are all on Tarmac or concrete paths with Pb potential but watch out for those sea breezes. Bridlington is on my list to do! Great selection guys thank you 👏👏👏
Penrose’s original course was an interesting one, which was a point to point. From what I recall the path got pretty close to the cliff edge so not totally surprised it was changed. 👍
My favourite has to be Gorleston on Sea in Norfolk. Fast course right on the sea front, free parking, lots of cafes, and the beach is always voted in the top 10 in the UK.
@@tworunningbrooms Also , this must be one of the few park run courses to be in a Hollywood movie, Danny Boyle/ Richard Curtis 2019 film Yesterday. The end scene is a concert on top of the Pier Hotel, the crowd are on the beach, and in the background you can just make out the course route along the sea front. (The Pier hotel does great coffee/food/ rooms by the way!).
I loved Durlston when I ran it to finish my alphabet last year, I seem to go well on hills. I'm hoping this year to do as many coastal parkruns that I can swim after as I can fit in.
Thanks Dawn & John. Some absolutely stunning ParkRuns shown. I do love a costal run but have never done a ParkRun by the seaside. I laughed when you asked where people’s nearest coastal ParkRun is. Im from Leeds so you couldn’t get further away from the coast. 😆 Thanks again. Keep up the great content.
Sewerby parkrun is a definite Yorkshire must if you ever get the opportunity to be in the area. 🙂 Yes, Leeds doesn't say close to sea...😁 We're also live a long way from the coast, but would love to live near again if we had the chance. 😁
i did Sewerby last October was going so fast nearly missed the tight left turn just before the finish then the following day did the 13.5 mile trail Bridington race got that in 2 hours
Ah the reason is we're not very technically minded. History yes. ICT not so much. So we'll have a look on the GoPro settings and see if we can amend. I thought sometimes I look a bit grainy. Thanks for pointing this out.
@@tworunningbrooms yeah, down the hill and a panoramic view of the sea as you come round a bend from memory. I’ve heard Hunstanton parkrun a bit further along is a decent one too. If you haven’t already tried them and want a faster, flatter, tarmac coastal one then both Gorleston & Lowestoft at the Norfolk/Suffolk border have good actions. Both have a short steep hill but the rest of the course is either downhill or pancake flat Sizewell & Yarmouth if actual beach running is your thing
My favorite place to run is the beach. Shingles was a new word for me. I liked all these running destinations
Yes, running near the sea is great!

Hi Paul. Thanks for that. Crosby is definitely a parkrun we'd like to do!🙂
I'm blessed lots within 30 minutes. Whitley Bay, Blyth links, Newbiggin by the Sea, South Shields and Cotsford Fields. All fantastic
Sounds delightful. 🙂 If we were to choose one as a tourist, which would you suggest
Whitley Bay is my home parkrun but regularly has 500. Newbiggin is my favourite though

It's one we considered when we were on holiday in Dorset but was just a bit too far to get too. We may get to it this summer, though.
My absolute favourite parkrun is Sewerby on a clear day the views out to sea are just amazing. Was there other week 2nd march for my birthday run. 🎂
It's a cracker.
I've done a couple of coastal parkruns Morecambe & Minehead. Both are all on Tarmac or concrete paths with Pb potential but watch out for those sea breezes. Bridlington is on my list to do! Great selection guys thank you 👏👏👏
We've done Minehead several years ago. Not Morecambe though, so that's a future possibility. 🙂
Penrose’s original course was an interesting one, which was a point to point. From what I recall the path got pretty close to the cliff edge so not totally surprised it was changed. 👍
Spoilsports 😉
I've done Nova Prestatyn in North Wales and Hastings on the south coast.
Thanks for that. Ones to keep in mind if in those areas. 🙂

Like the sound of that one. Definitely on the list of ones to do! 🙂

Don’t forget the banksy at the finishing line
@@3orpSoida89 In the shelter? Yes, I’d forgotten!

That sounds like a good goal. 👍

A good weekend, then. 👍
My favourite coastal has to be swansea parkrun, however I did enjoy the fleetwood one I ran the other week. Happy running both 👌
Thanks. Not done either, so both future possibilities. 🙂
Lews Castle Parkrun Stornoway is a nice coastal run.
Sounds delightful! 🙂
@@tworunningbrooms my joint PB is Greenock, that’s not so nice 😀
Just down the coast from Swansea , is the picturesque Sandy Water parkrun.🌳
That's sounds promising 😀

Surely the Scottish Highlands is a county with a longer coastline than Essex?
I guess it's a modern made-up county not a proper traditional one so doesn't count? Various websites go Cornwall, Essex, Devon.
Silly question but is there a reason you record in 720p rather than 1080p or higher? It seems such a shame to have lovely views in lower resolutions!

@@tworunningbrooms Looking forward to the new improved HD videos!
Sheringham (North Norfolk) on your parkrun, beach bucket list? It’s a tough one but scenic.
Yep we did that a few years ago and it's stunning. It's a view of the sea from a distance from memory?
