Good question Vee! If you're using high quality balloons and have already tested them out to make sure it will last and look good that extra day or two, I usually build ahead of time, keep the creation protected in a giant bag of some sort, then save some detail balloons in a separate bag to add on once I'm onsite and finish it off. I always leave myself plenty of time and plan to be done way ahead of time (at least an hour or more before the event starts) to make sure I stress as little as possible and pull off a magical creation for the client!
