As a lifelong zelda fan it's very cool to listen to the perspective of a recent fan to the series, I hope we can all enjoy this absolute gem! :D
Also we haven't really played as Zelda in a game, there was a DS game where she was like a commandable companion but that's pretty much it

I am absolutely 100% against a playable Zelda, the only way I see it working is if there is a temple that only she can enter and she has to go get an item for Link. But the idea of bein able to essentially choose to play as Zelda for the entire game is absolute trash that I will never support. You don't fix what's not broken. Makin Zelda playable changes the game series and just appeases woke inclusive shit.
As someone who's favourite Zelda game has been Twilight Princess for as long as I can remember, I feel like this game might take that spot. My jaw was unhinged the entire time

Several characters have tears in their possession :
Sidon : blue, on his hand
Tulin : green, on his bow
Riju : yellow, on her earring
Ganondorf : red, on his forhead
Zelda and the mysterious lady have a tear of the same color
The Zonai character has one on his hand when he holds Zelda aswell

I think the tears of the kingdom are just the tears of the fans that were released when watching this trailer
I feel that whoever tried to make a Zelda movie would inevitably make Link speak which would be literally the biggest mistake they could make. He is one of the few protags that it would actually ruin.
They can’t possibly top the BOTW final trailer or BOTW on switch hardware. Nintendo: casually does both

A Zelda movie would be great and it would be much easier to create a deep story than Mario which has a very simple story in each game
That would be so awesome, but I would definitely make it a show with the graphics like Mario so you can go more in-depth with the story.

@@ItApproaches and neither did half the characters in Mario but got them in the movie. Even Zelda and Ganon didn't have voices until Botw and TotK
@@Nick-fz5pf Mario characters talk, they have had dialogue in the games, same with Zelda and Ganondorf. I meant Link in his universe doesn't speak.

@@JCbackfire You play as Zelda in some sections of Spirit Tracks, but they aren't very long. Most parts are played as Link. However, it is possible that Tears of the Kingdom will feature a playable Zelda.
Final Fantasy 16 & ToTK are going to be bangers.

There was a third-party game for the CDI years ago where you played as Zelda. But as for First Party games, yeah, you've only played as Link.

BOTW is definitely the best game to introduce yourself to the franchise. Glad you started there. You're right about the story though... The older Zelda games had better stories but it was sacrificed a little bit with exploration in BOTW.
Regarding playing as Zelda. It's never been a thing in the franchise (at least in the main titles... you can play as her on a few of the spin offs). Apparently though in Skyward Sword (the game before BOTW), there was meant to be a playable Zelda once you beat the game as link but I think the idea ended up getting scrapped due to time or it just not being up to their expectations (I'd need to look more into it again though). However the idea got pretty far so they made cut scenes for Zelda that just ended up just playing in the credits to the game.
Anyways, I'll have to make some time to tune into one of your livestreams if you end up streaming the game. Glad to see you just as exited as I am!

Wonder if it's possible this time around towards the ending. But yeah, loved BOTW, but the story is harder for me to remember than most games due to exploration being mostly everything. Loved it though, and stoked for the darker tone!! (Also, yeah I'll for sure be streaming it so definitely stop by!!)

True. But your not playing as Zelda directly your playing as the phantom armor. I guess she still is like the companion character in that game… I’ve never played it though. I don’t like phantom hourglass so I never gave it a shot

BotW had a lot of story too, but you had to go find it. You could just ignore all of the story quests if you wanted to.

I think Illumination should make it a show so they can go more in-depth with the story. Then, down the line, connect the characters and make a Super Smash Bros movie.

BOTW was your first Zelda game? Oh you poor man. Talk about a rough first impression. BOTW is the most UN Zelda game of the whole franchise. That's like playing Mario Paint and thinking it's what Mario is supposed to be about.

Really sad that Link is still mute, Zelda is gone for big portion of the game, outdated graphics and still no underwater exploration plus the open world looks so empty. We've seen unreal engine 5 and games like ff16 spiderman 2 senua 2 starfield while this $70 game looks worse than ps3. No wonder Nintendo keep becoming more irrelevant every generations.

It's running on a Nintendo Switch. What did you expect? To be quite honest, for a game this big and ambitious running on the Switch, it's mind-blowing how good it looks. BOTW was able to not only look good, but have a stable 30fps 95% of the time, which doesn't hinder the experience at all. After about 10 or so minutes of play time, the frame rate becomes a non-issue. Good graphics does not equal good game. Not only that, but you're assuming so many things about the game while having not even played it yet. Link is, and always has been, a silent protagonist. Zelda is gone for a majority of the game? Now that one is just completely baseless. She has had more emphasis and dialogue in the trailers than ever before, actually suggesting the opposite, and that she'll play a much bigger role in TOTK than in BOTW. I genuinely don't understand where you get all this from LMAO
@@FraggedSpartan I can see people latching onto you saying "a stable 30 fps", but to be perfectly honest, the difference between 30 and 60 FPS just isn't noticeable. Unless you're one of those people looking for something wrong in everything you see, and you're looking closely and carefully at the screen instead of playing like a normal person, it just isn't.
