Loved the video Frank! Interested with the winter months approaching seeing a video on how you winterize your trailer for extended storage. For example if storing outside, how you drain the tanks and water heater to ensure no freezing. If you tarp over your exhaust fan to prevent snow build up and so on. I think it would be a very beneficial. Thanks for being an inspiration to so many people, including myself!
the pluming and electrical plans you submitted in your area , would you mind sharing them with us so we can get an idea of how we would layout on paper. I know every state may require different things but basic plans would be a good guide. thank-you
Question! I know cook county is not pex friendly. you also mentioned for the electrical, Romex. Romex is the enemy in cook county as well. EMT 100%. in real estate construction of course. To the point. If i use all what you used in my food truck, will it pass inspection in cook county?
@@fbaltierrez I always use EMT in residential. I just have never worked on a food truck. I am just concerned with the plumbing. The electrical is not difficult. I just came across your video and you mentioned, Dupage county. I assumed you were familiar with some of our codes when it comes to construction and health department. You seem pretty confident on your videos and presentation.
Hey Frank thanks for your link I'm looking forward to following you I will be working on a skoolie food truck conversion I didn't have a question for you if you have any suggestions or know of anyone that installed a hood vent in their skoolie food truck that's one early concern that I have if you might be able to help me
Hi frank how u doing?I have a question about my new installed fresh water tank ang grey water tank and I haven’t try to run water in it,so it’s totally empty.do I have to winterize this winter?and can you advice to protect my pipe n tank?
I wish there were links to the next videos or that they were numbered especially when there is more than one part. Notes say there will be a part two and three and the “part two” I started watching is not about installing the water tanks. I love your videos but it seems like that would be an improvement. I keep jumping from two years ago to one year ago and it’s a little time consuming. In the case of the part two I was watching it was from the same year but the tanks were already installed. Thanks
Frank, can you mount a fresh water tank approx. 3 feet above a hand sink. My space is limited - the grey water tank will be mounted to the floor but fresh water needs to be mounted above the sink. Thank you, Joe
Where I live my fresh water tank has to have an NSF approved sticker on it and paperwork from the manufacturer showing that they are up to NSF standards as well. Is that not the case where you are?
Hi Frank, Very informational although I have a question I can seem to get answered! These tanks say they aren’t pressurized! I have hookups at the location I will have my food truck! So if I have a hose hooked to the trailer at all times and have a pump on the tank will that be okay? Or what do you recommend?
I have built a 3 compartment wash sink almost identical to your work. I added my handwash sink sideways at the end of my build with a partition to separate it from cross contamination. My intention is to be able to disconnect the gray tank line (installed under the truck) and wheel the Sinkformer out of the truck for cleaning or to use in a tent setting....
Hellow Frank. I do have a couple questions. Im also from Ohio, just find your videos and I want to build my own food trailer. Do you have an email to contact you. I would like to meet with you you and have a tour on ones of your trailers if posible. My name is Carlos Queeman I'm from Puerto Rico chef for 9 yrs and its time to build my own...😊
Good afternoon. I don't really do that. Pretty much if you see the videos you can see everything in here. I can do another walk thru video this weekend maybe that can help
hi frank, i did see it but even with my good lad top it was still very blurry . would appreciate if you could post a better picture of it like your daughters drawing witch was very helpful. thank-you
For customers calling, please be sure to view our Water Tank Helps Page and our Water Tank List, both are located at the very top of each page. Thank you, Class A Customs
Not a plumber expert here but I would agree. As mentioned I just duplicated what Domino’s Pizza has on their plumbing and they are a pretty well known brand and they get approved.
Having built both. Having the P trap in a restaurant isn't necessary IF the sink leads to a grease trap. The grease trap is doing the job of the p trap. That's why you'll still see them on the hand sinks. P traps in a food truck would be unnecessary because you're not hooked to the sewer and you're not worried about sewer gas.
Sorry Frank 😂 I was a little salty. Your videos are super helpful.. but u kinda get off track sometimes. I would have liked an explanation of what connects to what. Seems like everything useful is in the last 2 minutes
@@fbaltierrez I was in a mood, my apologies. I'm building my trailer and it's taking longer than I wanted and I'm stressed out 😂 I think all I need to do is watch a few different videos of yours to get the complete picture of the plumbing. Thanks so much for these.
FYI they have silicone tape thats really good with the outside seal
I just took on a food truck project for one of my customers! So thanks for the helping videos

That is a actually a great topic. Awesome idea. Let me make a video for that, bc as of yesterday I completed my season of serving food.

Look at my latest short and it's on there. Don't know how clear it is, I am making it available to people that requested access to my spreadsheet
Size of under sink water tanks and where you purchased? Please and thank you...
Class A Customs. I've used 30 and 15 undermount and also 30 and 20 undermount. Depends on your needs
What's the smallest one should go on a tankless hot water heater.?. I'm wanting a propane one to keep the load on my vendor trailers generator down.

No idea. I do not do any work at all in cook county bc cook county is too difficult in every aspect of anything and expensive lol. I would use EMT

I did have a question sometimes text doesn't clarify my question to if you knew of anyone that has installed a hood vent in a skoolie
I don't see many box truck turn into food truck is there some typr regalation on what kind of truck can be a food truck.
Box trucks are tricky in multiple opinion because they sit so high
Question for a 6by 12 trailer in the angle area will those sizes for tanks be fine
Hi frank how u doing?I have a question about my new installed fresh water tank ang grey water tank and I haven’t try to run water in it,so it’s totally empty.do I have to winterize this winter?and can you advice to protect my pipe n tank?
personally to winterize my trailer.
I just dump out the water and put a disk space heater in the trailer and let it run inside
When installing pex with elbow fitting 1/2 " can you twist the fitting to line up with other pipe?
Yes these fittings are phenomenal they can twist and turn all over

Definitely would have made a big difference, I was just uploading as I went in the project. If I ever built another one I would do something like that
Good.
Thanks Frank, the downside of gluing the connections together is when you drop a screwdriver bit in the sink, you have to remove it all 😂
Where can I buy the food grade water hose from? 1 1/2 inch?
Frank, can you mount a fresh water tank approx. 3 feet above a hand sink. My space is limited - the grey water tank will be mounted to the floor but fresh water needs to be mounted above the sink. Thank you, Joe
You can but they are heavy!!!! You will have to really reinforce that
Where I live my fresh water tank has to have an NSF approved sticker on it and paperwork from the manufacturer showing that they are up to NSF standards as well. Is that not the case where you are?
For us the water tanks do not have to be NSF rated, not sure where you can find NSF rated tanks because I don't think class A customs NSF stamps them.
@@fbaltierrez no they don't stamp them, I've contacted them already. They are hard to find 🥴
Hey frank how tall were the front legs to your 3 compartment sink? So tanks would fit . Thanks
Hey Frank, can you explain how the gray water goes from drainage to waste tank, please

I just use a regular garden hose to fill it up. Hopefully that's the answer you were looking for
Can you please tell me where you got the flange feet from please do you have a link?
Would it be possible for me to use a class a 100 gallon tank for mobile detailing? I see you had to cut the holes but I wasn’t sure

How do I get the sink to buy?
I'm wondering about flushing these tanks. I read the tanks should be plumbed to they can drain completely
I can Drain these completely to empty
What size are the tanks you have
Good morning. Links should be description for Tanks but make sure you find out the percentage of waste to fresh water your HD requires
Hello frank can you more less tell me how much would it Cost me to build a food trailer 16x8ft y’all by 8 wide.I like to see your videos
Which water pump do you recommend?
Does the inside of the food truck have to be stainless steel?
Not necessarily. In our county they only want non porous surface. SS definitely behind cooking equipment
