Koldo va para gran figura, se le ve venir hace años y su progresión es continua, sin prisas, marcándose sus propios tiempos y quemando etapas a su debido momento. Magnifico saxofonista, ha llenado, junto al jovencísimo Bernat Benavente, el enorme hueco que dejó Alba Esteban al saxo barítono, después de tantos años. Y como vocalista mejora muy rápidamente, le veo mucho más suelto, con más registros y haciendo más cosas con su voz. Estilo nunca le ha faltado.
Muy merecido su "Joan Chamorro presenta ..." (me atrevo a decir que si no fuera por la pandemia se habría publicado ya hace un par de años). Elsa Armengou será la próxima, el disco ya está cociéndose. Y luego ... ¿quizá Claudia Rostey?

[ English ] Koldo is going for a great figure, we have seen him coming for years and his progression is continuous, without rushing, setting his own times and burning through stages at the right time. Magnificent saxophonist, he has taken, together with the very young Bernat Benavente, the enormous gap that Alba Esteban left for the baritone sax, after so many years. And as a vocalist he improves very quickly, I see him much looser, with more registers and doing more things with his voice. He has never lacked style.
His "Joan Chamorro presents..." is well deserved (I dare say that if it weren't for the pandemic it would have been published a couple of years ago). Elsa Armengou will be next, the album is already being cooked. And then...maybe Claudia Rostey?
