I swear I came up with this song, in front of Lonnie Mack, down in Austin in the 70's. We were stoned and eating some Oreos, and I did this riff. Then I never thought about it again until I saw that he finished the whole song. Believe me or not, that is what happened.
I m lonnie s step son Don i was the one who Jerry Leggie said was eating a ostrich i was in high school when we lived in manor TX in a trailer court on blue bluff rd i dont remember you at all
No. Mike Wilkerson wrote this song. He played it at our neighborhood BBQs in the early 80s before anyone knew what it was. He sold the rights to Lonnie Mack. Mike's still credited in some sources - he died in 2019 and was a dear friend of mine
Too bad, that with such a superb musician & artist that the camera work ...let's see,... SUCKS! Those shots from behind are superfluous at best & amateurish & hackneyed in reality♪
😊 wawwwww che meraviglia di voce e che blues stupendo 🤩🤩
One word......Outstanding .......
Awesome ! This is so good...
This is my favourite version of this song - check out Stop - from the same gig - superb stuff.

Lonnie lived in Cincinnati and back in the sixties I used to see him live in lots of area clubs!
