Drawing from Imagination | What to expect from this Channel & Why Tutorials don't work | Episode 0

READ FIRST: Now I have a very different view on my learning process, and things are not coming as I have them planned, and maybe they are not coming at all. I prioretize very different things in art now and reassigned what is really important and what is not, and what may even be obstructive.

This channel is all about my experiences in learning to draw from imagination and this video is about why tutorials often don’t work, I give an overview on all the subjects I have planned and there will be some general tips and advices.

Story with art:
I always wanted to be able to draw from imagination and to make things that are in my mind come alive and visible to others, but once in my life I didn’t know how to improve and stopped drawing at all for years. I was so frustrated because I couldn’t do what I wanted. I was wondering why great artists can do these crazy things but had no clue how to get beyond their secrets or where I could even start seeking. Some years later some coincidences that in hindsight really changed my life happened. By coincidences I got back to drawing and by coincidences I learned things I couldn't do before and probably wouldn't have learned by simply trying. These experiences about drawing and also learning itself enabled me to overcome my stagnation.
I then somehow knew how certain things worked and meanwhile I can do things I never thought I would be able to. I started to see new approaches and these experiences and everything that followed I want to cover in my tutorials.

You actually really remind me of myself, im kinda tripping out rn, i share many if ur ideas, i wonder if i should also document my theories and ideas about art, and improvement

Yeah, I definitely recommend to document them. Otherwise they quickly slip away. But I also gotta say, it also is good to let it sink in for some time. Later, you probably will reevaluate what and how you learned something. Some experiences I now in hindsight do value more, while others I valued then now seem irrelevant
