We're back at it for day 2 with another epic ride! In this episode, we start out the day hearing the story of a local small business, then hit the road to enjoy some scenic views all along Highway 89 and 89A with stops at the Historic Navajo Bridge, Lees Ferry, the Vermillion Cliffs, Cave Dwellers Stone House, and all kinds of great stuff in the area.

Located in northeastern Arizona, Page is known for being a most excellent base camp for exploring nearby outdoor attractions, including Lake Powell and the surrounding Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, Vermilion Cliffs National Monument and Monument Valley. Founded in 1957 as a housing site for workers building the Glen Canyon Dam - which formed Lake Powell - the town has blossomed into a visitor-friendly community. After a full day of hiking, boating, golfing, biking, off-roading or simply Page sightseeing, the town offers creature comforts like nationally branded hotels, small inns, short-term rentals, RV parks and glamping. Places to eat in Page run the gamut from casual brewpubs and Mexican eateries to fine dining with panoramic views of Lake Powell.
ABOUT THE VERMILLION CLIFFS NATIONAL MONUMENT
This remote and unspoiled 280,000-acre monument is a geologic treasure with some of the most spectacular trails and views in the world. The monument contains many diverse landscapes, including the Paria Plateau, Vermilion Cliffs, Coyote Buttes, and Paria Canyon. The monument borders Kaibab National Forest to the west and Glen Canyon National Recreation Area to the east. The monument includes the Paria Canyon-Vermilion Cliffs Wilderness. Elevations range from 3,100 to 7,100 feet. The monument is also home to a growing number of endangered California condors.
ABOUT THE NAVAJO BRIDGE
Those traveling across the country on Highway 89A between Bitter Springs and Jacob Lake, AZ arrive at two bridges similar in appearance spanning the Colorado River. These two bridges, one historic and one new, represent one of only seven land crossings of the Colorado River for 750 miles (1207 km).
ABOUT ARIZONA STATE ROUTE 89A
State Route 89A (SR 89A) is an 83.85-mile (134.94 km) state highway that runs from Prescott north to Flagstaff in the U.S. state of Arizona. The highway begins at SR 89 in Yavapai County and heads northward from Prescott, entering Jerome. From Jerome, the route then heads to Cottonwood and Sedona. The highway is notable for its scenic value as it passes through Sedona and the Oak Creek Canyon. The route then enters Coconino County soon after leaving Sedona. The highway proceeds to Flagstaff, where it crosses Interstate 17 (I-17) and I-40. The highway ends at I-40 Business in Flagstaff. What is now SR 89A became a state highway in the late 1920s as SR 79. The highway was extended and improved several times through 1938. SR 79 was renumbered to U.S. Route 89A (US 89A) in 1941 and then to SR 89A in the early 1990s.

You guys are killing me with all the SALADS!!!! 🤣😂 I’m always waiting for a stick to the bones, burgers, ribs, filet, loaded baked potato, big bowl of chili… and you throw me a Cobb salad. (Joking just busting your chops/LOL)… love that kind of riding out in No Man’s Land, surrounded in epic landscape. Where else can you ride to mix it up? North Dakota, Northern Minnesota, the UP in Michigan, Backroads thru Corn Country through the heart of Iowa….

We'd probably have to upgrade to heavy duty suspension if we ate like that every meal for every trip haha. Gotta love that open riding in no mans land! We hope to make it out to those states sometime down the line👍
Thanks guys. We're headed from Boston out to the North Rim via a southern route into AZ this summer, taking 2-3 weeks and 6-7000 miles and you're giving us great areas to ride. Going to make sure when we head out of the North Rim now to go by the Navajo bridge area and Lake Powell before we head into Utah and Wyoming and back a northern route. The ride from Jacob Lake to the Navajo Bridge is a beautiful ride and one I've done dozens of times heading to the Grand Canyon. And, the North Rim of the Grand Canyon has some of my favorite views of the big hole. Plus, it's a beautiful ride from Jacob Lake to the North Rim. I love the way the National Park Service builds roads that follow the contours of the landscape rather than pummeling it into submission with a straight highway.
It really is. There's something special about the 'ol 89A! Thr ride through the North Rim definitely has some great contours and complements the views of the surrounding canyon

I love this Page series. I work at the Glen Canyon Dam and I ride a 2014 Victory Cross Country. Next time I ride on the 89A I will have to check out Cliff Dwellers.

Have watched your drops for some time now and really enjoy them. Really enjoying the Page series as we are headed there in Feb for a week before heading down the 89 to Rimrock then Mari opa. Following that up with an Eaglerider trip from LA down the Baja and back in March.

Loved this episode. 2017, while on a too short camping trip, we rented kayaks at the very same shop! Wonderful people and a great experience. Page is a great place with so much to see and do in the area. Fingers crossed, hopefully I will be back this year.

Subscribed guys! Your videos just keep getting better and better! Perhaps the greatest part of riding in the West is the entire state of Arizona. Just being there for a few days everywhere I went people were so, so, friendly and unassuming. Of course the scenery is unmatched in the entire United States. I will try to squeeze another trip there on the way to Mexico City this summer.

Thanks for the input! If we could put out episodes like this every week, we would. But with one guy shooting and editing, most of the time these are uploaded by 2-3:00am the night before they drop having worked on them non-stop all week. The regular riding vids with no interviews take a lot less time to edit but we'll try and make those longer. Thanks for the support 👍

Hey guys, long time no watch. Great video, have you guys ever done a video on all the maintenance you do, what tires you use, equipment your use etc to get the most out of your bikes on the road?
Thanks for tuning in!! We have done a handful of videos on oil changes/maintenance and some of our upgrades. A lot of things having to do with our favorite tires and things like that were in older live streams, but one of our goals this year is to put our more videos on parts, gear, and maintenance throughout the year so stay tuned for those. Next time you’re on 89A on your way up to Jacob’s Lake, there is a viewpoint just after House Rock ranch as you begin going up the mountain. Take about 20 minutes or so and hike into the ravine below the viewpoint…there’s an old Hupmobile that’s been down there as far back as I can remember. I would love to know its story.

When did you actually film, trying to judge weather, headed out to Phoenix this weekend, got a bike from eagle rider, any road that is a must? Thanks for thr content
This was filmed mid November. Temps ranged anywhere from 20-50 degrees throughout the week with clear days and rainy days, but it has probably changed since. Usually it's fairly consistent out there but it looks like they got some snow last week!

I saw a video and then did some research of which wasn’t very clear about mounting GoPros on helmets in Cali. Have you guys ever had a problem with LE while wearing a camera?
We've never heard anything about that being illegal or every had an issue with LE. That's interesting, we'll have to look into that but they're here to stay!
California law just says DOT certified. You can't make modifications to a helmet. However people interpret the law differently. Some people say it's not a permanent modification so it's still DOT certified. I've never heard of a law enforcement officer given a ticket for that.
Personally, I think because the GoPro can break away from the helmet during an accident, it's not a safety issue. It's not going to grab something, and force the helmet to twist your head and break your neck.

How is cell phone service out there? Guessing it's spotty at best.
Service for texts/calls was ok, but internet wasn't really working out. Luckily in a place like that, we had no complaints 👍
@@2LaneLife agreed. I just wondered from trying to use something like Google Maps or Waze. My understanding is some of those don't work without data. I would switch over to my HD screen nav but some don't have that option.

As a fourth generation Arizonan I typically dont like the tourists clogging up our state but you two show great respect and admiration of my state so kudos to you. And I do understand my approval isnt needed, lol
