It’s remarkable to me that Lauren Chen and her husband thought this was a viable way to make money. I would never mess the our government. Why would they assume RT is not under constant surveillance! They all deserve whatever’s coming to them.
My understanding the money was funneled through another company so they wouldn’t have seen the ties RT. They would’ve just seen that. It was a company wanting to do business with them.

It's highly likely that any American business associated with RT is being monitored by the authorities. The Department of Justice has filed charges against two Russian individuals linked to RT, which raises the possibility of legal action against Lauren and her husband as well. Tim and the others were paid more than the standard market rate for the content they produced for Lauren's channel and were given specific extreme right-wing talking points to include in their content. Moreover, the view count for each video created was less than 10,000, which is extremely bad for these creators and certainly not worth the money paid out. Given their industry experience, it's surprising that they had minimal concerns about the funding source, especially considering the unusually high amount. The funding source was not thoroughly questioned, and Lauren Chen and her husband invented the profile of a wealthy man that could not be verified. You should take a look at the resume they created; it's so obviously fake. Nevertheless, they went ahead and accepted the money. While this may not result in legal consequences, it suggests that these content creators can be easily influenced and should not claim to be "independent," which is something they claim all the time.
@@ElinWinblad Lauren knew the people were Russian influenced. She sent a message and didn't get a response and looked up "what time is it in moscow" and realized is was 3am when she was messaging the person. Lauren knew and should be in jail for treason for the rest of her life per Canadian law.

The 6 creators from that channel got paid. Three of them got 100k per video. The other 3 it didn’t say how much they got just 1.7-1.9 million among the 3 of them in like 2 years.
And the channel got deleted by UA-cam, which is why you can’t find the channel

And even then, taking money from Israel isn’t treason because we are directly allied with them. One of the countries paying you is a prominent ally protected by the UN, the other is Russia whom directly violated International Law and invaded another country making them our direct opposition. Again, both are wrong but it’s only treason when you are directly working against your government.

We're political allies, whatever interests Israel has wouldn't impede on ours significantly. Also, I wouldn't approve of anybody taking money from Israel to spread propaganda, but that's not treason.
