I noticed you don't have a link to the nest boxes with the roll away, I'd be interested.
Oooo! What kind of chicken laid that pretty blue speckled egg at 3:50 please?
You mate a speckled layer with some type of blue layer. So I cross Blue Bell, Whiting True Blue, or Arucana crossed with a Welsummer.
Also, that egg isn't considered Blue, it is Green or Olive depending on the lighting.
Ty!
Could you post a link to you roll away nest boxes plzzz
You say that you're not very organized, but it certainly looks like you're quite clean and well organized. And you're enjoying your life, good for you!
Where did you get your shovel?
I'm getting back into chicken keeping after not having them for a few years. So, this was a helpful refresher for me 😊
I’m glad! Thanks for watching 🥰🥰
This was great, so full of necessary info. This is our 3rd year with chickens, and yes, they are addictive 😅 thank you for sharing and encouraging other feather lovers😉
Everything you talked about was great thank you!!!
Absolutely love your videos. The best information and best videos thank you!!
Thanks so much that means a lot!
Im hoping my egg basket has a bunch of colors like yours! good looking mix of eggs! Also, you have insanely beautiful eyes!!!!!!!!!
have a question about laying eggs. I have 5 hens and everyday I collect only 4 eggs. Someone isn't laying and I don't know which one it is. Also I was getting small, medium and large ones. But lately only small ones
What type of chicken lays that pretty green speckled egg? ❤ 3:42
Question is it ok to date them? First time chicken Mom, but can you date the eggs daily.. im not quite set up as yourself. I know first in first out, but for those on the counter? Need help to figure out that i sm issue the oldest ones first. Please be nice this is my first flock of 17 hens.. maybe one is a roo. In that case if i have a roo, is there anything different about keeping and storing the eggs? Im trying to watch all your videos. Thanks in advance.. im so glad i found you 🐣🐤🐔🥚🥚❤
Thank you , the information I get from you are very helpful.
If you see cracks cook em straight away. Never wash eggs! Cheers
If there are cracks, germs already got in!
Rinse in lukewarm water and let it dry on the counter. There I just saved you 10 minutes.
Can you wipe dirty ones with a dry rag?
I’m cleaning my eggs and doing the float test, should I be worried about small bubbles coming from the egg?
The brush in the description is different than the one you are using. Do you have another link?
Nice video! Lots of stuff I never knew!
Do the different color of eggs all taste different?
no lol
Hi! I’ve watched a couple of your videos tonight (they are all so good!) and I remember you mentioning a website you use to send fecal samples to? I’ve rewatched a few and can’t seem to find the site!
Pethometests.com :)

Curious about the sand. I just got back into chickens, we raised them when I was a kid and now just got backyard chickens. When reading about grit, it (Google) said not to use sand because it can solidify in their digestive system. I love the idea of sand and how that would make the run so much easier to clean. What type of sand do you use and do you give them grit as well?
use medium to course grain sand so it doesn’t impact their crop. sand is great! just make sure the run stays dry, otherwise sand is absolutely pointless. grit should be given since the sand isn’t going to and shouldn’t be used as a main source of grit. i use an insoluble grit marketed towards poultry. i put it in a small separate feeder and they eat it as needed.
I give people the oldest eggs 😮💨
