  • On October 28, 2008, Kenton Wagner sat down and told his story of his military career. He had a combined 36 years of service to our country and served in three wars! His service began at age 16 when he enrolled in the Colorado National Guard. He then enlisted in the Army Air Corps on December 6, 1941 and served with the 304th Fighter Squadron during World War II. After the war, he returned to the Guard and his unit was called up in 1950 with the outbreak of the Korean War. After the armistice was signed and his unit returned home, he elected to remain in the Army and make it his career. He would then go on to serve two tours in the Vietnam War. He and his wife Mary Ellen, although moving over 20+ times durning his career, both agreed it has been a wonderful life. They had been married for 65 years at the time of this interview.
