Thank you Will for keeping these skills alive and sharing them. I suspect we will be needing them soon!

Great video Will. My son freddie is 8 now and he is mad on flint arrow heads and other tools. He sat out in the garden last weekend for 5 hours knapping arrow heads from some flint I collected for him. He absolutely loves your videos and lectures me on Stone Age tools 😂
We will be booking your go wild day for him in April if we can get him out of school in April.
Do you think you could give him a surprise and mention him in a video?
His name is freddie flinders and we live near croydon ( decent flint area)
    Thanks will
    Max

Please make him wear eye protection! Flying flint bits are eyeball-slicers

Waited years to see you work a blade core... Was certain you were about to develop this bipolar- had the perfect nodule for that!

Bonjour Monsieur Will. Thought I'd try to help you get in the mood for what should be a fascinating road trip. Great to watch you as you do this. The explanations are really good and this lump had a few solid "teaching moments" in it.

You and Donny Dust are about the only ones using primitive tools for knapping.

Will, my property has a lot of worked chips I find from time to time and pick up but no finished blades/points yet. I recently picked up what looks like an arrow point blank since it is roughly cylindrical with those long struck splinters removed off the cylinder sides, original weathered stone ends top and bottom. It's not a flint but coarser grain some quartz sparkles yet very heavy stone, similar to the chunky spear point I found as a kid back on our farm a dozen miles from here. That point matched similarly built finds dated 6k-9k years ago.

Loved the blade of the day. You should have a segment just called that.

Gosh, haven't seen you for quite a while, Will, good to catch you again.I can't turn your notifications on for some reason. I've had flint blades from you some years ago, I used them for all sorts of cutting until their edge had dulled somewhat, now I use them with my flint and steel to light fires. Enjoyed this.

You chose it for its length and quality.
You seem to have the same value system as lady Fartwell.

I'm looking forward to bringing it at the earth lodge next time I come in England!
    All the best mon ami.

I've thought about trying my hand at knapping. There's nothing but sandstone in my area unfortunately, besides I have dogs, and they'll cut their feet on the shards.

Great video Will! If you consider trying the punch, I've seen someone putting the distal point hard against a log on the ground between the feet and having some small pressure on the ridge with the legs. Either way, I'm really looking forward to your trip to France!
