    Classic 1960s roadster meets modern American V8 technology in this amazing Superformance MKIII (SP02518). The car is a rolling masterpiece, clad in stunning royal blue paint with contrasting white stripes. The magnificent blue color is offset by silver ceramic-coated side pipes with heat shields, along with silver ceramic-coated headers. Chrome accents include front and rear quick jacks, the fire extinguisher, and a roll bar. The roadster has 17” wheels shod with stainless steel spinners and high-performance tires.
    A modern fuel-injected Ford 5.0L Gen 1 “Coyote” 302 c.i.d. engine with 11:1 compression motors the lightweight roadster with 420 reliable horsepower and 390 lb.-ft. of torque. The gorgeous V8 has Ford valve covers, a carbon fiber engine cover, a chrome coolant expansion tank, steel braided oil lines to a remote oil filter, and a chrome air intake. Safety features include a battery kill switch in the trunk.
    The MKIII has a 5-speed Tremec TKO manual transmission fitted with an internal slave cylinder, that sends power to the independent rear suspension. Power Disc 4 Piston Wilwood brakes with stainless steel lines and power assist provide this MKIII with amazing stopping power while the Bilstein coil-over shocks and front and rear sway bars maximize the car's handling.
    SP02518 has a comfortable black leather steering wheel. The period correct SC dash houses Smith instrument gauges, Lucas toggle switches, an amp gauge, and a 180-mph reverse speedometer. The cockpit has a black interior with doors secured by original-style carriage latches. All openings, such as the engine bay, trunk, and cockpit are wrapped around the steel subframe for increased strength and support.

    What a disappointment.... open the hood expecting an FE and get nothing but a bunch of plastic.....
