I appreciated the care and attention to detail you guys took in the filleting/dismembering. Not only good in terms of high quality meals , but a mark of respect for the fish. Thanks
Nothing more precious than fishing with your dad. My dad died at 89 the end of the pandemic & i miss him like crazy, but I have so many memories of night fishing from piers with him … us having to help him reel in as his arms got weaker due to age, him having to deal with my bait and gutting anything as I hated that part lol. But just the time together, huddled under blankets waiting for the elusive sea bass to hit, the making of hot drinks on a trangia, the memories. Foxy will have these memories in years to come. His sea legs, his fresh faced excitement and his ability at this age is just awesome. He’s a great boy. This 60+ woman is grateful for every memory.
Best fish preparation and cooking I’ve ever seen. And yes, I brought up my son the same way as you are doing now. But I was more hands off and let him learn more on his own even though he lost fish and fishing poles at times.
My boys are teens now but have been fishing with me since they were little. This brings back good memories. Time moves fast, enjoy your moments with Fox.
Geelbek or Cape Salmon in South Africa. That awesome yellow mouth. Well done on an awesome catch. Foxy is living the live with you bud. Keep up the amazing videos
I've had one of those "Japanese "fish scalers for years- as you noticed, they work extremely well.Although over time the metal head can either wear down ( after scaling tons of fish!)or come off the handle. I've found a metal horse hair brush makes a FANTASTIC fish scaler!! If you search online, you'll see the one that will do the job... Great video!!
I was working at a Construction site in Paddington on Oxford st and whilst standing at the lights with a few of the workers, I noticed a grey landrover and little blue stabbi cruise past me. A few of the boys watch your videos and were pretty excited when I told them who it was.
Awesome video as always. Try a ball with a little rope on for Red. The rope swinging makes them think it's alive and also gives you something to grab onto when he brings it back 😀
Just found this channel again dam this guy has pulled in some epic vids over the years I think UA-cam should promote him more again used to get unbelievable views love his content keen survivalist myself 😂❤
probably one of he most beautiful moments/memory's of being a father is teaching your son to fish and watching him catch a fish.....thank you for sharing this precocious moment...
Watch foxs life jacket mate got pulled over by coast guard and they said it was a "50s" which is for skiing and stuff, luckily enough when i went to get him a new one he went up a size anyways 🤙 good fishin as always
Okay.....Mark just became a legend on the channel.....we all know you have caught some big dawgs, but every sydneysider dreams of landing a monster jewie...well done Mark.....great video once again.
Rod Your Boy is so stoked on fishing!!! That’s awesome bro, will get even better as he grows so you don’t have to worry about his safety, you’ll just be two buds having a good time, then the roles will reverse he’ll be worrying about your safety 🤣 your blessed bro 🤙🏼
Thanks Rod, always enjoyable viewing. The children grow up so quick but the adventures are priceless. Getting close to 500k which be well deserved. Cheers.
Awesome how Fox has that visible feeling that all us fishermen have, that focus watching the lines in anticipation for a monster! We need to get you over to NZ to do some big kingy fishing haha, grats on the Jewfish it was a beauty.
Pays to be chilling out on the couch on a Sat afternoon. 10,000 miles from my old city and loving every moment of these vids. Delightfully homesick :) Cheers.
Always look forward to your down sth adventures mate, Mark is an excellent chef by the looks and i like how he harvests ingredients from his back yard, keep them coming, CHEERS Jay

Cheers Wombat🐾🤗🥰🍻🥂
It's good going out fishing with your son and your friend. Nice catch, by the way. One thing I noticed your reels sounded like they needed to be cleaned and oiled they sounded rough
Hey Rokkit Kit. What type of fish is that at 13:40? It looks very similar to what we catch in South African waters... a geelbek or yellow mth loosely translated.
Yea will do next time, used to go out in Botany Bay with dad when I was as young as Fox. Haven’t really fished it since! Will have to do a trip for sure 👍
Yea definitely some similar features and the scale colors and patterns for sure. Looks like I might be coming back over to the USA this year. 🤞 I can catch a good redfish when I’m over. Definitely on the list of must catches👍
Mark is always a welcome addition to the videos, I love learning something new from him each time he's on
@@anthonynelson6366 I came for the food. J/k seriously though that was impressive from the catch to the preparation and cook. Fantastic results.

All that and we didn't even get a classic Rodney "mmmmmm" when tasting the fish!! :P
Foxy was locked in! That young man is earning so much knowledge and doesn’t even know it yet !
Could do a DIY scaler like that with an 80’s pushie pedal 😂
Awesome video as always. Try a ball with a little rope on for Red. The rope swinging makes them think it's alive and also gives you something to grab onto when he brings it back 😀
