This and Blizzard Buffalo's themes I actually favor over the SNES version. Pity we didn't get a choice to switch the ost for our liking in X3 when the X Legacy Collections came out.
Love it how people are giving the arrange version credit Thats why i prefer arrange version but give snes credit (not saying that i hate snes version of X3)
This one's really nice on PS1, because it's so close to the original but enhances everything about it. Many PS1 tracks feel a bit butchered to be fair. This one is not one of them. Feels better on PS1.
So glad the Mega Man X Collection on PS2 brought this version of Mega Man X3 with it, the music arrangements are so much better, and more atmospheric when compared to the original.
@@sebastiann.8088 Nah sorry I have no nostalgia since I played X3 recently but the SNES version is just better in my opinion. Faster paced and sounds better even with its limitations. More instruments =/= better
This is my favorite stage on this game. Also, I grew up on SNES so it's hard not to be bias but PSX version of this is better. All other tracks I prefer SNES
You are comparing apples to oranges.. In other words the PSX features a CD quality audio that is probably closest to the actual recording . Your not going to hear real life guitar sound effects on an SNES.. For me that makes the PSX game far superior as far as sound quality goes... But that's just my opinion I can see how many people like the sound of the SNES.
So there were certain tracks like this one that i just hated because of the guitar sounding riffs that just sound awful on the SNES. And it might have been an otherwise great track if it werent for that. This version is much more enjoyable.
The PSX/Arranged version of the X3 OST is gold. But the original SNES music is an underrated diamond. Ill say this though, the musical compositions are way above the uninspired X2 music.
Yep. The melody at 0:37 is clearly meant to be a guitar shred, and while the arranger realized this and switches to a different synth, there's no buildup or climax and it's just a weak sound.
This is different from the original in a good way.
This sounds like a combination of techno and jazz it's awesome!

Bruh.
that's right !
THE BEST THEME OF THE PSX VERSION
Definitely better than the original one!
I have no idea it can sound so amazing!!!
No
My favorite stage music from x3.
The ps1 was way ahead in terms of sound quality it smashed the competition
Yes until dreamcast.
This is the best version of the song 😎
MAN I wish they had this music in the legacy collection
i like the snes version of the soundtrack more but very interesting arranged versions here ! thank you

Which ones were “butchered”? I’m honestly curious what you think
@@gradybenson128 I think one of theme was the intro stage (that one is too different from the original)
@T 1 M 1 J 0 fact
this is the definitive version. Im glad I played this as an import back then

IcedEarthaholic I hate the fact that the new X Legacy Collection features the outdated SNES port.
I was so pissed
@@Mateoski97 are you kidding? We can't switch it to PS1?
@@cosmicoandromeda7195 Not that I'm aware of, unfortunately. I know you can switch between the US and Japanese versions, but not the soundtrack.
@@Mateoski97 excuse me " outdated snes port"? X3 was originally released on snes.
Really good, still prefer SNES version, but that doesn't exactly dampen the arranged version's quality

Lol I see sailor moon running from a fight while in the heat of battle lmao!
lol oh wow. Definitely sounds like something from SM though hah
But Sailor Moon is "Never running from a real fight" ;)
I'm not into most PS1 arrangements but this one I prefer over SNES version.
Both love the snes and psx ver
so now I'm hearing the exact/right note on this part at 0:27
In SNES version, there is a flat on that note. With this, I like this version more. 😊
1:33 I associate this part with Toph getting absolutely bodied by Ka-Master
0:30 to 0:36 sounds straight out of Sailor Moon.
Snes:death metal
Ps1:UNFATHOMABLY PLAYSTATION-LY AMAZING
Edit: snes still better tho
Btw i just love them its not nostalgia
*btw, SNES ver. Is cooler tho*
THAT'S WHERE YOU'RE WRONG KIDDO
@@cosmicoandromeda7195 this version trumps the SNES one anyday but fanboys will be fanboys lol.
fuck you past self you have no music taste

PS1 IS THE BEST VERSION

@@ClintRayJohnson That's by farrrrrrr. Much better music than the Snes but you can't beat the SNES on MMX1

The Mega Drive/Genesis had a better sound chip than the SNES. Not saying I hate the SNES, but I really think it does.
Gente, parece um brega brasileiro
SNES: awesome
PS1: great
KusKusPL
Snes: Cool
Psx: also cool
Snes and psx: GENIUS!
SNES: AWESOME
PSX: Not enough words to tell how AWESOME and incredible it is
SNES: awful
Ps1: okay

Acid Seaforce >>>> Toxic Seahorse
Seriously, this guy took it from arranged version 💀
Why it reminds me of dragon balls?
this one sounds good, there's only one part that annoys me as the pitch just sounds weird
Only song on the PS1 version that even comes close to being as good as the Snes version.
The PSX/Arranged version of the X3 OST is gold. But the original SNES music is an underrated diamond. Ill say this though, the musical compositions are way above the uninspired X2 music.
I prefer the Snes because it's epic and worrying
Less intense but a fresh new style not necessarily better but ok
They slowed it down slightly and took away the energy of the original
Prefer the snes version but its alright.
PSX god, SNES zzz
IDK
the ost in this feel so out of place (worst) than than the original but then again i grew up around the playstation era
Wtf? This loses the awesome rock of the SNES version.
SNES is definitely better than this.
ShinyVesper hell no, 'super sness version is very crapy compare to this
Snes ost is a classic but the psx is just MMMPH
The guitar synth is punchier on the snes which makes the main riff sound heavier, I believe that's what makes it better
Yep. The melody at 0:37 is clearly meant to be a guitar shred, and while the arranger realized this and switches to a different synth, there's no buildup or climax and it's just a weak sound.
Opinions are great and you have your right to express that but...
*THAT'S WHERE YOU'RE WRONG KIDDO*
This is bad. This stage theme works so much better as hard rock.
SNES version is hardly rock, just some out of tune guitar beats. It’s good music hampered by shitty instruments
