I just started this pattern today. You have done such a fantastic job with the tutorial, we don’t really need a written pattern! Please do not apologize when you are already doing such a great job teaching so many of us! you totally rock👍👍👍😊
Thank you so much for this great video. You go slow, speak clearly, and most important (for me) keep your thumb out of the way while showing where to put the hook into the stitch!!!! I followed and had no problems other than a few boo-boos that I caused myself!!! Hahaha!!! This blanket is so cute!!! Thanks again--You are a great teacher!!!!! The extra repeat was really helpful!
Love this pattern & yes, a second repeat would be awesome! I've noticed, you do go a little fast for me but I always pause, catch up & carry on. I love your attention to detail & you fun spirt! As in my last comment, would love to see you do a dragon fly afghan pattern. You mentioned not having a written pattern, but I'm sure whoever needs one can follow & transcribe. But learn better through tutorials. So thank you.
I have been crocheting for more than 60 years, and this has been one of the best tutorials I have ever followed. I've crocheted many butterfly baby blankets, but following you has made me fall in love all over again. You are great at what you do. Thank you for your video. Now to continue with #2
I think you are the calmest and easiest crochet instructor around and have made the Covid-19 virus pass easily as I watch and listen to you. So happy I found you! And thank you for everything that you have taught in your videos.
Thanks so much for this tutorial, this will make a nice blanket to layer over our covers during the cold months. I love your voice and your personality, you're so relaxed but chipper!
Hi hun You do make some fabulous creations.... I love them all ... Your so good at explaining what to do I have learned so much from you ...when I get in to my patterns I listen to your readings while I’m crocheting I love it xx
Made your version of the virus blanket and am currently making the butterfly one I love , love following along with you in your tutorials. Your voice is so soothing an comforting for me . I thank you and my Dr. Thanks you , so does my blood pressure .
Just found you a few days ago. Thank you Soo much for your detailed videos. I was able to follow you and only had to pause the video a few times...how beautiful this is, and I'm proud of myself...
Love this blanket. Am going to try to write it down as I go so I can have it to do again. Give you my word of honor that I will never share what I write.
Thank you for your Tutorial. this makes the 4th project I'm making with your Tutorials this year. I don't personally need an extra repeat. If I put the project down far few days I sometimes go back and watch the second part if I have forgotten where I'm at with my project.
Thank you so much for all of your amazing tutorials!!! You make it so easy & enjoyable that a beginner like me can actually make beautiful projects. I just really need to work on getting my tension consistent & not too tight. It’s my biggest struggle. Lol 😂 You are by far my favorite.....my new crochet Guru 😊💜 Thank you again!!!
This is a super fun interesting pattern!! You do an awesome job explaining how to crochet it. You're a super teacher, and I want to personally thank you for coming up with this pattern of yours and teaching us it❣️❣️ God bless your Day😃😃😃😃
You are totally amazing. I am so glad I found you. I think you have been very thorough with these 2 videos and I think anybody should be able to make a blanket if they just remember to do the repeats. So, no, I personally don't see the need for another video with the same information, but that's just me.
Love the video what I do is as I am watching I write down the directions that you give your so though and after watching I also have a written pattern to follow at my leisure can`t wait to get started xx
Love this pattern, I am trying different stitches for a table cloth. I only wanted patterns that went in a circle, or one's that you didn't have to put together at the end, also seen another couple ones you do in a circle, so I just wanted to say thank-you!!! You are a wonderful teacher, kèep the patterns coming,I will be looking for your next one! Thanks again, and God bless! 💖
Everyone has a technique that changes the look a bit, or makes it simpler, in some cases. I have been looking for a butterfly stitch that is continuous for a table cloth. THANKS!! Love it.
sure like this butterfly pattern its great, I was also able to continue with repeat of rows 7-10 though I had to mark row 7 to start repeat so didn't lose my place to work from, I am making my learning swatch on into a baby blanket, thank you so much, I've learned several stitches from you-basket weave, midwife, diamond waffle, thanks for your teaching your easy to follow along with!
I know this is one of your older videos but I just want to say thank you this works up so quickly! I have done several if these as gifts for baby blankets and they're beautiful and loved by the recipient ❤
You make that look so easy and your voice is so soothing. Could you please make a granny square pattern with the butterfly in the center so I could make as many squares as needed, I hope I'm not asking for too much of you. I really enjoyed listing to your voice. Thank you
A truly beautiful blanket spider gorgeous it looks so dainty and graceful , torn between doing the shawl or the blanket now , decisions , decisions lol ❤️Amanda xx
What a great video! I’ve always wanted to try this but the videos and instructions I have watched/read in the past have been so confusing! After watching your videos I think I can do it! Thank you so much, you are great!
So excited for this pattern!!Thank you. Your videos are so awesome. You take time, don't assume, and are very kind. So appreciate all your hard work. Your Friday night chat is also very fun. Don't know how you do it all. I want some of your energy. Haha
Not sure if you go back to comments after so long but wanted to let you know how much I love both this and the prayer shawl version. Did the shawl version with beads for the "body" of each butterfly. Loved the effect. Now I have discovered making Snuggles or Cocoons (shawls with sleeves!!) Any square or rectangular pattern works. I am making this blanket pattern into a Snuggle and again adding beads for the bodies. Absolutely love this pattern. And I absolutely love you and your gift of creating and sharing.
What a great idea with the beads for the bodies lol pity I'm almost finished with my shawl. I'm using YarnArt's Flower yarn and a bead in the body would look beautiful 😍 I'm thinking of them more as dragonflies than butterflies though. I'll definitely keep the beads in mind for the next time I make the shawl. Thank you for your comment giving the suggestion 😊
I was getting ready to figure out a blanket for the shawl. I crocheted a few years ago. I decided to see if someone had already done it. Thank you for doing the math for me lol.
thank you for this set of 3 clear video tutorials i have a butterfly/dragonfly pattern but i could not follow it , but thanks to you i followed the videos well and i can retain the pattern repeat now, Ive just got to decide when is big enough as i plan on using 3 skins of 3 ply(uk) yarn btw you have a loverly voice to listern too
Hi there. I love love this pattern I’m working on a baby blanket it’s looking great.. thank you so much for ALL your tutorials! I have made quite a few shawls, yes I live in Miami and MIGHT get to use in this Thursday it’s suppose to be 57! Yeah that’s cold for us.
OMG. I love this pattern! Tyvm!! You are the best!! Wish I knew how to put a picture of mine with this comment. Im very proud of it, me being a noobie and all.
Repeats are very helpful hope not to late but I think I got it also gonna try it in 4 weight to see if it makes it lay flat but love the 3 weight great job
Hi Fiber thank you so very much for the wonderful tutorial. Cant wait to start on my blanket I love this pattern. I was wondering if theres another way I can get in touch with you I have a question on another tutorial you did a few months ago. Thanks again for all your hard work.
Fiber Spider, I love your videos. Thank you for taking the time to be specific. If I might make a suggest to help others that learn as I do: Please give a thought to: after we complete a side that you tell us how many stitches should be on that side. In round 9 and going into the butterfly I am having to 'fudge' my butterfly spine because I either had 1 stitch to many on one side or minus 1 stitch on one side. Just an idea for future videos..........because, well, I truly hope there will be more videos from you! Thank you again for taking the time to help us expand our stitching!
Thank you for this video. Been looking for a blanket with butterflies not dragonflies. Too bad you don't have a written pattern though. Will have keep this one for a while. Thanks again & have a blessed day!
Your videos are SO clear and I have made several things in your tutorials. Would you consider doing something with the Bernat velvet yarn? I love the feel, but have no idea what types of projects it would be good for.
I would love a pattern that would be made up of pretty crosses to make a blanket. Is there such a pattern? I'm so glad I found you, spider. You are awesome!! Thanks again !!!
I knew you were going to give us a nice video thanks again for the blanket what about a border now Please give us a little more time if you can Yes that would be nice . No this is a promise right 🤦🏼♀️🤷♀️. I need as much help as you give me. See it can get confusing. Thumbs up of course
Hi! This is great - making a baby blanket for a friend. Really loving the pattern, thank you so much. Out of interest, I’ve noticed that my butterflies are becoming a little off centre with one another (think I may have added/missed a stitch somewhere at some point). Can I correct this but maybe missing or adding an extra stitch to realign?
I feel I really need the 2nd full recap to thoroughly grasp the growth of the blanket. Making this for a friend and am looking for suggestions on how to finish it off perfectly. What kind of finish has everyone used or thought of using? Looking for something really feminine that matches or complements the design.
I am glad to see the finish of row 10, please, please stay with the instructions s bit longer. I am not sure that I would be right to go on by myself now. Please, Please again!
I just started this pattern today. You have done such a fantastic job with the tutorial, we don’t really need a written pattern! Please do not apologize when you are already doing such a great job teaching so many of us! you totally rock👍👍👍😊
I still love this pattern, an oldie but goodie. Working on it again today. Thank you Craig.

Finished and now I am relaxed and more educated, thanks Craig for all your tutorials
Thank you. I love learning new patterns. I really like the butterfly stitch and I am glad you decided to turn it into a blanket. 👍👍👍👍
