Honestly, I appreciate your straightforward conversation about it but also inputting your opinions. Personally, I'll probably drop my consultant status and sell off my overstock. I'm fairly disgusted by these changes. I DO understand companies need to change and evolve but it feels like they are almost going backwards here. The cuts need to be made with these lavish trips that only 1% get to go on.
My thoughts exactly! I’m so upset about the commission decrease that I’m about to call it quits. But I also know that I will no longer buy from Scentsy because I’m so upset about it. I can handle all the other changes, but decreasing my pay after stating that you get 25% for life has me upset
Most of their products are way over-priced: warmers, pods, laundry, etc. I believe they are going about this completely wrong. Maybe if the prices for non-wax items were more reasonable, they'd have better sales. In the end, I put this on Danny O. I just didn't get a good feeling about him when they made him interim-CEO. I was completely shocked when they gave him the actual job of CEO when they returned. This is all not good for the future, in my opinion.
Watching the replay. Businesses need to change with the times, especially when they are not as profitable as they were before but the way this was rolled out was terrible. I wish they just got rid of the 5 bar get 1 free instead of keeping it as a "special" price that can only be obtained if they contact a consultant. From a customer perspective, it's inconvenient and shady. I also didn't like how they announced that Laci left and put in that it was due to performance issues. I was shocked. All they needed to say is we are sorry to see her go, no one needs to know why and especially not say it is performance related. I wish they would have chosen to cut expenses on trips and other products. Going back to how they started with home parties is not the world we live in anymore. I don't feel they did a good job of understanding the market today and seeing future trends.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts and opinions. I am a Canadian consultant and joined because i love the products and wanted a discount on my purchases. I do sell to some family and friends as well but i am my own best customer. The cutting of commission from the lowest tier doesnt sit well with me at all. It doesn't motivate me to sell more or to purchase more myself to reach the 250 PRV per month. I will continue being a consultant, however, i will be spending less of my money on Scentsy. I think a lot of others feel the same way so i dont see how this is a good business move.
I totally agree with you I couldn’t rewatch Dan’s fb live. The news is a lot to absorb. Times have been tough. As a consultant Living expenses for food, other needed consumables and utilities have gone up and home fragrance is an extra in life and gets cut from the household budget and he customers that I do have are in the same boat. Individually, we will need to make choices based on the facts and how they serve us as individuals along with our family.
I wouldn’t miss the licensed products and I don’t buy any of the licensed items other than an occasional wax bar. I also hate the buddies and clips. They can really scale back on those things, IMO.
I don’t pay for my website and my club is through me. I think I had to set it up while I had my website. I also shop through my sponsor’s website for flash sales. Depending on how the requirements are to remain active my consultant days may be numbered. Scentsy will lose money if I lose my consultant status because I will order a lot less!
When people don’t meet the active requirement they can rejoin for free 6 months later. At least it’s for free right now. I don’t think that’s a huge deterrent to go inactive. If you have a team you’d lose them but other than that not that big of an issue. (Some people go inactive to change sponsors)
I can’t believe I missed your live. You are the BEST, thanks for sharing your thoughts. Yes, you can activate the site that day and then cancel again, I do it all the time.
Heidi and Orville are throwing Dan under the bus, imo. They don’t want their names to be attached to Scentsy’s downfall, so they put Dan in their place. (And maybe put blame on Lacy too. 🤷🏼♀️)
Sorry to have only caught the end of the live, but watching the replay now…completely agree with you. On everything. I’m what is considered a “Hobbyist” consultant I guess, and I’m sad too. I have been a Scentsy customer on and off for many years, and decided to become a consultant almost 2 years ago (while Orville and Heidi were gone) to get a little money back on what I was spending on myself. I always try to watch the EOM Live, and since they have returned and are on them I most definitely find them cringey…it’s awkward. They always seem to talk about how we are all family and how they love us (which to me is cringey, sorry!), but now they are making us sign a new agreement and changing the rules of our relationship. It’s gross to me. I think the trips seem excessive, and I think the charms are dumb…thanks for the tip on not getting them and saving the company money! At the end of the day, I love the products from Scentsy and don’t want to see them go under. I wish they would talk to people like you, Robyn from Northern Lights Glow, and others here on UA-cam to help give suggestions on what the company truly needs. Thank you so much for doing this, I always appreciate hearing your input!
I did catch Robyn’s video and it was excellent…especially for delivering the details. I wish I would have remembered to mention it during the live. I think where I don’t have business knowledge I’m limited on giving them advice. More importantly we don’t know the full scale of what Scentsy is dealing with, so I’m not sure suggestions from a SSC in Halifax NS would be that helpful. But it’s ok to have opinions so I can voice mine in the hopes it helps more supports others. I appreciate hearing yours! Thank you 😊
When I first purchased with my consultant now director, they had free shipping on $200.00 orders if you didn't attach to a party. I did that twice and it went away. Shady.
Hey Patricia! Great video - thank you so much for sharing your thoughts! I’m so sorry I missed the live. I took notes while I watched the replay - sorry for the long comment 😜 -Totally agree with you about the commission cut and the fact that buy 6 save 15% would have been better. I am very curious to see how host rewards look come March 1. I also agree that maybe Scentsy needs to reevaluate the amount of licensed products they’re offering. -Chuck said in the Q&A on the Zoom meeting that the 10% off only applies to bundles of 6. They said bars 7-11 would be full price until you get to 12 bars. -I agree that it was very jarring in Dan’s video to hear how worried they are about sales and the urgent need to turn things around. I had a feeling that Scentsy wasn’t heading in the right direction at SFR in Orlando last year because Dan kept referencing a slump in sales in his keynote. They also mentioned they were having so many flash sales and LTOs to try to make up the difference. Thanks again for sharing. Your experience and perspective are so appreciated!! 💜
Awe, I missed the live. I'm not a consultant, but I feel for all of you guys. If u are paying for a website, everyone should come up when searched regardless of sales. it's ridiculous! If I was searching for a consultant, I'd want to find one that lives closest to me. I have a shopping link opened all the time and do most of my purchases at 2 or 3 am. 😂 I'm not going to be doing that anymore. I want the B5G1, so now I have to contact my consultant every time. It's silly.
I feel like I’ll have to do another live after World Tour. Especially since I thought the 10 % off savings was extended to every item after 6..but it seems it’s only applied to the items in increments of 6
It feels like when mum and dad go away for a while and they put the ‘fun’ uncle in charge of the kids. Now mum and dad have come back home and they have arrived back to a big mess and they are not happy! Now the kids and the fun uncle are in big, big trouble!
I think the Mum and Dad have totally lost control! They need to retire and move to Florida! Poor Dan has been trying to navigate but looks like his hands are tied. The bumbling end of month lives are just too much to watch with Heidi and Orville. They are clueless.
I’ll have to ck them out somehow. Are the EOM posted anywhere outside of Facebook? I guess I can search for them. Metallica mom use to post them so I have seen some from before H/O returned.
This was reassuring. Thank you for offering an objective factual view. I always appreciate you for how you present yourself and your views. Very professional.
I work on a pricing team for an e-commerce company. I’m not a consultant for scentsy, just a customer since about 2020. My take as an outside observer - you’re absolutely right that Scentsy is out to make more money. Every successful company is like that. Chipping away at the discount rate of the bundles is a great way to do that.. time will tell if customers run away as a result, and then they may swing the pendulum back toward deeper discounts again. I am more surprised that they changed the consultant pay rules… I feel like giving more notice that the change would go into effect in 6 or 12 months would have landed better.
The incentive trips need to be done! You’re right it doesn’t look good. $8 for a bar of wax if they aren’t making enough money something is really wrong with their business plan. If I were a consultant and they took away the 25% they promised forever I would never buy scentsy again. It was in writing I’m sure, how is that not against the law to take it away? The whole thing is stressful and I’m just a customer. I know what you mean on having to disconnect from it.
Thanks for sharing! I appreciate your positivity but that you are honest and authentic. I agree about the commission and that it will mostly only affect the little people (me), but also that they are hopeful it will push us to work harder. But I’m like you - I’m not going to push. It’s not authentic of me. And I need to put my family first (not leaving 6 kids to go on a cruise even if I’m the best consultant). It is what it is, and I hope it’s not a sign of the beginning of the end, and that it helps those of us who love the wax to keep the product. But I’m definitely nervous.
I never understood the charms . Mine go in a box that I never look at . I’ve always thought those charms are such a waste of money . Yes the incentive trips 🤔
You can go onto the account portion of the workstation and cancel the delivery of the charms. I felt better once I did that. Every month I would get annoyed at the unnecessary (for me) expense. I know some people might like charms but I’d rather no charm and the company save money. The incentive trips don’t get cancelled because they are fun for the people that earn them. If sales go down overall maybe those trips won’t end up taking place (as often).
I love the Scentsy Wax and cleaning and will see how the changes affect sales, I only sell to friends and family, no recruits and rarely go over 200 prv a month except for Xmas. I have been overwhelmed by the amount of LTOs and I love to try all the new scents, but, I am know only choosing those based on scent notes I like and watch the reveiws. I think reducing the commission is not a good look for Scentsy, however, I will give it til the end of the year and see how it goes. We are losing the body care here in R3 which is something I do enjoy but, the wax is what I love the most. I have enough warmers and so do most of my friends and family. I am warming Amethyst from BBMB and Marshmallow Mint Cocoa they are both so good.💜💜
Thank you for this Patricia, I am sorry I missed the live, but you just talked me off the cliff. 😂 I was ready to call it quits, but I will give it a few months to see how it goes financially. I am going to World Tour in Nashville in a few weeks. Will see how that goes. I am still a newbie and only sell locally in my little town (just made certified last year) They could drop all the licensed products in my opinion. Rarely do I even sell or buy any. Scentsy grew too big too quickly I think, maybe they need to stick to what people love the most. Wax, warmers and cleaning products. My biggest gripe is the breaking of our contract with them. I fear Scentsy made a wrong decision dropping our commission amount. It is completely bad business IMO. If they just HAD to do that, it should have only applied to new consultants. If they do this to us, they can do this again in future. Sorry, I am still in rant mode, so will just leave it there...for now. 😳😂🤣
Thank you for taking the time to do this video - well done. Caught a bit of the live and will watch what I missed to catch up. Lots of changes - will see how it all plays out.
I feel like there should be a way for us to email the customer an invoice to pay on their own when closing out a party so that they don’t have to give us their credit card information.
I’ve wondered about that myself. I’ve only had one customer not prefer to send the cc info, so we went with PayPal. (That has fees but oh well). Perhaps since I do videos they feel like they know me. I’m happy to have their trust. The people within your country can do electronic funds transfers (which most of my Canadians prefer.) If I do need to get cc info I always offer to call the customer or suggest they can split up the details over different platforms so all the info is not in 1 area. Example numbers in email, expiry and security code elsewhere like text, Instagram Messages etc. hope that makes sense.
Hi Patricia. I actually reinstated to being a Scentsy Consultant on Monday January 13th and then got this info on Wednesday. I was thinking, What???? I am not surprised, I had a feeling something was coming down the pike when they started doing price increases. Thanks so much for sharing and great video. You looked very tired. I hope you got your rest 🥰
Non consultant here… my question is do you have to buy in quantity of 6 to get the 10%? Meaning if I buy 8 bars do I only get 10% off 6 and the other 2 are full price? Regardless I’m probably just going to order through club now that way I get 10% off every item….unless there is something that I can’t order through club like LTO fragrance flowers etc.
My understanding now from Carries response is the 10% is applied to bars 1-6 only once you reach 6. After that bars 7,8,9, etc are full price until…you get to 12 bars. At 12 all would have 10% off, BUT a 13th bar would be regular price Hopefully I’ve explained that properly and if that is how they intend to roll it out it makes club far more appealing as 10% occurs after a set threshold
@ that’s exactly how I took it too. Thank you for clarifying. I think they might find a lesser than expected outcome after implementing these changes. We shall see 😊
I'm just a customer but when they removed the one free bar when you buy 5 from the scentsy club I was more annoyed that the deal still existed for non club purchases. Wasn't the point of the club that you got better deals? It never made sense for us to get the short end of that stick. The licensed products I would love to see go away, or at least partially. I refuse to pay extra for a wax bar because of the sticker on the front. It's like paying extra for a fancier receipt. I would MUCH rather see a bigger selection of regular wax bars. I would likely end up purchasing far far more. I don't even look at licensed wax bars. The licensed warmers I understand more, but even then it's over the top both with the price and the number they have. I would much rather see more pretty warmers that fit in with my home décor vs so many that are better suited for children's spaces. I feel the licensed stuff is not only horribly overpriced, but also takes up space from items more adults would be interested in buying. They've not had a pretty warmer that I've wanted in years! They've had some fun Halloween ones but it just feels like the focus is too much on disney and sports teams.
@PatriciaG-NosetoToes we could still have those scents under a normal name. It's not like they're actually Disney created smells. Then maybe I would buy them too 😁
You do not need a website to have a club. I cancelled my original club and because I signed up through facebook I needed to go back and use a new email address to start up and access a new club. Scentsy walked me through it. I currently have a club but no active website.
@@PatriciaG-NosetoToes No sadly I can’t this time. I hope the next one?? (they need to do it in a better time, like Summer;)). I think I missed the deadline anyways?? I hope one day to cross paths with you.
It does seem like they are blaming it on the people earning the least. But then their fix is to push those people to get new customers and then have them push those new customers to become consultants….seems like a viscous cycle.
I reached out to support asking if I would still receive commission on my own Scentsy club if I canceled my PWS. This was their reply today: Thank you for contacting Scentsy. I am sorry to hear that you are thinking about cancelling your PWS. If you were to cancel your PWS subscription, you would still get the commission from your Scentsy Club. Feel free to contact us if you have any other questions or concerns.
I'm only a customer so certainly not in the know about all the behind the scenes dirt. But im sad to hear Lacey was let go. I always enjoed her in the EOM lives. Dan never seemed comfortable in rhe lives. I wonder how bad the finances of the company really are. If Heidi and Orville can go on a religous mission to London for years, they certainly aren't hurting for money. So maybe they should cut back on their own financial reimbursement from Scentsy before putting it back on the customer. I understand they need to make changes but i don't understand some of these.
Hi Patricia, thank you so much for your thoughts on this. If a consultant would like to quite Scentsy, how do they do it and what would happen to their club?
You can either let your account go inactive at the 12m period from your last active month or you could contact Scentsy and ask for things to be ended immediately. Either way if you have a club it would roll up to your sponsor / upline.
I'm still going to buy wax but I"m looking at other sources as well which I had never done before, keeping my PWS for now so I can access flash sales and my clubs
Dan O just stopped short of shrugging when he (briefly) mentioned the effect on hobbyist consultants of lower commission and higher activity requirements. Jettisoning your loyal customers in the hope of getting 'better' ones seems an odd way of doing business.
I think Dan could’ve reworded the way he brought up the Escential and Certified change. He used the word “hobbyists” and then brought down the hammer. That rubbed a lot of folks the wrong way. When they used the word “for life,” did that mean for the life of the company or just for the life of that contract? We all assumed for life as a consultant. I don’t mind at this moment because I haven’t been buying lately, just trying to use up what I have. But I feel bad for the people who buy for their personal use. And the other thing is… they don’t want hobbyists, but that’s how leaders trained us to bring people in! Just get them in on a discount! Now they don’t want that? This was inevitable.
I assume that video was live? It’s hard to get everything said the way you intend in that situation. Hopefully he didn’t mean for it to come across the way it did. I’m playing devils advocate since I screw up all the time
yes it was live. I could tell he was nervous, I feel bad for him. I don’t think he meant it to come across that way, but it was like saying the quiet part out loud lol.
@@emily-2810 years ago when he was talking everyone through controversial club changes during a live video he was soooo nervous. I could do a reenactment but it might come across mean so I won’t …but looking back I kind of laugh at it. On the plus side we made it through those changes quite well.
I understand from a business stand point but only to a point. For starters….. certified no matter what should have been grandfathered in. The clear message to me is they want to discourage all of the consultants that are considered hobbiest to where they quit. Yet they bank on them remaining customers and spending what we are. I have not been spending due to personal financial reasons ( my husband has heath issues and is not able to work right now) but with that being said….. but with the changes…. I don’t know if I should remain a consultant. I don’t like feeling pushed out and that is what it feels like. Like I don’t matter. It’s not a good feeling to have personally
just found this....Depending on the circumstances and local laws, stating a performance-related resignation might allow an employee to still qualify for unemployment benefits, whereas a direct termination might not.
I think it is a major overhaul of changes ! All at once…. I am going to see what happens in a few months. SCENTSY makes $$$$$$, Still offering trips…. YES! Changing our agreements on certified reps. Loosing 25% To 20%. Asking ALL TO SIGN NEW AGREEMENTS…
I think the economy would be to blame with American consumers. We have had more than 20 large companies totally go under or close hundreds of locations.
I think it was a lot for consultants to take in and I see a lot of anger and frustration from some, as a customer, I appreciate the consultants and their videos, you give a lot of your time and expertise for something we all enjoy. I hope the decisions made that effect you all are to keep the company up and running and producing great wax and warmers because that’s all I really care about… people keep saying vendor wax is better, but I am not one to do a large pre order on product I have no idea what it performs or smells like and then wait 4-6 weeks to receive and hope, if I like it,I can get it again. I so enjoy the people I have found in this community, you, for example are one of a handful I enjoy and look forward to seeing. I have seen some groups bashing what they call super star consultants and that was not good to see. But I do pray everyone is able to see a silver lining and things improve. I would rather them make changes now than not and one day go under and everyone wonder why they didn’t do something. Thank you so much for your time and making this video. Great input
Yes it was a lot to take in. Perhaps the gap between the workstation announcement and the Scentsy Dan video was too large and the social media buzz / bashing spread rapidly. I don’t think that is the kind of momentum they want.
If that is based on the live I was on 😔💔 I’m so sorry I didn’t speak up and asking people to stop naming people. I wasn’t exactly sure how to go about that. I was struggling to keep up and still listen to what the discussion was. Plus at one point I realized my chat feed wasn’t moving. My sincere apologies for not asking people to stop going to that point with it. 💔 I wish I could go back and change how that all happened. I wish people wouldn’t ever specifically call out people. That’s always an awkward place.
@ it is.. and especially when it’s someone your loyal to or have a friendship with. I just love all the groups I have met.. I feel a real connection. Thank you
Just want to clarify: are you worried that “in the black” is a bad thing? It’s not. It’s a marketing term that means profitable. In the red means trouble. So when Dan said “in the black”, he means Scentsy is still turning profits.
It was just the way he said that like it was a “for now but with an ominous tone that it was barely in the black” Just the way it was delivered alarmed me a bit
I don’t think that Scentsy is keeping up with the times. There are a lot of other companies live selling on TikTok (Scentsy’s main competitor does this). Going back to a party model is not the way, no one wants to do that again.
I think they think going to what worked before will work again. People smelling the product works but I think the world is different now so in person is a struggle. When you think about it, we do videos and get sales based on that, and people can’t directly smell the product until AFTER the purchase.
@@pjacksone it’s on the workstation but the overall is 250 prv in a month to be active. Must be active one month every 12 months to have an active account. In any given month that you don’t reach 250 prv the former 25% commission is now 20%, because they are paying based on the essential Consultant level
Dan is the CEO. Typically, CEOs serve the fall person when things are not going well or announce news that will be unpopular. They want us to go back to basics but in my opinion you need to change and do things out of your comfort zone. Isn’t that what Scentsy reinforce.
I am a consultant as well as a customer. I love the products and I would hate to see the company fail; if they are struggling (which is very hard for me to be sympathetic with , especially when the CEO is video chatting his explanation of all these changes from his fancy hotel room in Mexico, . that feels contradictory to me. Perhaps less incentive trips for the high earners, that would certainly save some money on the bottom line. The explanation message of Lacey’s departure never did sit well with me. The way it was worded sounded like it was her fault that she was gone. I don’t think that was fair to leave that impression. Perhaps the company has spread itself too thin with too many products, too many licensing agreements, etc. Go back to the basics, great warmers and good quality wax. That’s what we all came here for in the first place. Making it more difficult for your customers to purchase your products and get good deals is not a good move. People want the convenience of shopping at home, on their own time and not bothering anybody to input the order for them. This change does not make any sense to me. And then to take away part of our commission because we have a lower sales month it’s just not fair. Those of us already here should be grandfathered in and then just make that change moving forward March 1. It has certainly been a tough week trying to take all this information in. I will remain a consultant, but perhaps order less and rethink my purchases. You did a great job with this video Patricia, as I expected that you would.. it would be nice if the management at Scentsy had perhaps put out a letter to all consultants prior to making these changes and announcements and asking our opinion. It would’ve been nice for them to hear some input from the people who are actually selling their products.
Oh, and I forgot to add about the club information. I do have a club, but I no longer have a personal website, I gave it up last year after the three month trial period when joining. I manage my club just through the regular Scentsy website , log into my account and all my information is there. I can edit And manage my club and I still get paid the commission on it even though I do not have a personal website.
People are upset about the b5 get 1 free on workstation only. My thoughts are they could have just axed that entirely. That will be the next shoe to drop
Ok…I will share something… everyone please do not shoot the messenger😅🙏🏻 Disney in The US has issues! Many do not purchase licensed products. This may Be a bit of the issue..
100% agree. I have thought of that, too. Disney owned Marvel and Star Wars line has tanked, due to their own mismanagement and agenda pushing. I doubt Scentsy is making the money off Disney licensing that they expected.
The long and short of it all, in my opinion: Scentsy is a business that provides some products that are very popular among fragrance obsessed folks. Businesses must change pricing and deals with changing economic times. Most of us understand that. The 'ick' factor we are all feeling, I think, is in how Scentsy has a business model based on promoting itself as a 'family' and spending so much time preaching 'values' which it is clearly now not upholding with the changes in consultant contracts/compensation. To push the idea that we have to get back to home parties and recruiting new consultants displays, at best, that corporate is completely out of touch with how most of their customers/consultants are operating. At worst, it displays a desire to function as a pyramid scheme. I cannot deny that that is what it looks like from my viewpoint. I know very well that is not how you and my other UA-cam favorites operate! I do NOT want Scentsy to crumble apart. I really hope they get back to basics in their product offerings, keep the clubs, and find a fair but modern way to compensate the people, like yourself, who promote their products.
Thank you again for sharing. I am a “hobbyist” consultant because I love the product and why not make some $ But the changes they are making are impacting the customers and consultants a lot and it is hard to swallow Not sure how this will all unfold but if it becomes more of a hassle then it is worth then…✌🏾
Yes exactly. I think time will tell. I advise people that are unsure to wait it out because in the past changes that seem tough end up working out in the long run.
Firstly, thank you for having a "changes" video that isn't just a bashing video on Scentsy. Secondly, I really read, and re-read all the changes and for me, I really dont think they are that bad. I think they did the changes they did in order to not have to "hike" prices or make massive life altering changes. Will it be harder for some people, yes but I find these changes are just geared to getting us consultants (fellow consultant) out there more and talking more with people etc... Like yourself, I feel they could have maybe axed some other items like the incentive trips etc.... (which this year's incentive trip I found to be extremely tough for a lot of "lower down regular" consultants. Thank you for this breathe of fresh air video! Hope to see you at World Tour!
@PatriciaG-NosetoToes world tour is just the regional one. It's in Halifax this year. I'm sort of in the same scenario for the big yearly conference and can't make those or incentive trips happen

That zoom with Dan was the most long winded, boring and overly complicated speech I’ve ever heard! He could have sent an email about the changes and saved everyone’s time. Dan Orchard is crap at his job.
Sorry I missed your live, I was planning on watching but our wifi had other plans of not working! Change always sucks, but in order to grow change is needed. I guess and hope we will be chatting more in the future on Instagram and or ill be adding or editing my club for bars

It doesn't motivate me to sell more or to purchase more myself to reach the 250 PRV per month. I will continue being a consultant, however, i will be spending less of my money on Scentsy. I think a lot of others feel the same way so i dont see how this is a good business move.
It’s going to be an interesting 2025.
Thanks for weighing in on the discussion Lynne
Yes, going back on their word is my feeling as well.
There must be a more honourable alternative
I totally agree with you I couldn’t rewatch Dan’s fb live. The news is a lot to absorb. Times have been tough. As a consultant Living expenses for food, other needed consumables and utilities have gone up and home fragrance is an extra in life and gets cut from the household budget and he customers that I do have are in the same boat. Individually, we will need to make choices based on the facts and how they serve us as individuals along with our family.
I can’t even watch any more UA-cam videos on the subject. I need to disconnect from it for a while
I agree with you about the incentive trips.
I wouldn’t miss the licensed products and I don’t buy any of the licensed items other than an occasional wax bar. I also hate the buddies and clips. They can really scale back on those things, IMO.
I agree. I’m not a licensed person
The outpour of licensed items is when I quit ordering as much too. It's EVERYTHING now.
@alwaysbeingbelle4409 they all smell the same green notes!! Ive noticed And very expensive !!
Yes - utilize things to your advantage! Cancel it the last day of the month before it renews the next month
Heidi and Orville are throwing Dan under the bus, imo. They don’t want their names to be attached to Scentsy’s downfall, so they put Dan in their place. (And maybe put blame on Lacy too. 🤷🏼♀️)
My thought exactly!
That’s what I was wondering. Hence the stammering in the video at that part.
@@MeltItMichelle Mine too!
I agree. I was wondering why they weren’t sitting next to him during the Zoom when I felt they should’ve been.
Shady.
I’ve seen so many changes. I started in 2018.
I paid full price for my kit, active at least 50% of the time for my short 18 months and now I'm getting a pay cut ? I feel they did me a favor.
Hey Patricia! Great video - thank you so much for sharing your thoughts! I’m so sorry I missed the live. I took notes while I watched the replay - sorry for the long comment 😜
-Totally agree with you about the commission cut and the fact that buy 6 save 15% would have been better.
Oh no!!!! That’s terrible it has to be in increments of 6 for the 10 % to apply.
Thanks for clarifying
Awe, I missed the live.
I'm not a consultant, but I feel for all of you guys.
If u are paying for a website, everyone should come up when searched regardless of sales. it's ridiculous!
If I was searching for a consultant, I'd want to find one that lives closest to me.
I have a shopping link opened all the time and do most of my purchases at 2 or 3 am. 😂
I'm not going to be doing that anymore.
@alicebancroft4454 yes they have no clue what goes on in the office i bet
I’ll have to ck them out somehow. Are the EOM posted anywhere outside of Facebook? I guess I can search for them. Metallica mom use to post them so I have seen some from before H/O returned.
I don't have facebook but I am able to watch the end of the month videos. I just Google dan orchard Facebook and it is not private so I can watch it
The funcle 😂
Trust! It's all about Trust! Honesty is always the best policy. The lack of transparency and honesty is what disappoints me the most.
I’m hoping they reverse the commission issue
This was reassuring. Thank you for offering an objective factual view. I always appreciate you for how you present yourself and your views. Very professional.
I appreciate that, and I'll try to keep providing the best insight that I can.
I’m not sure in how things will roll. Time will tell
I guess
The incentive trips need to be done! You’re right it doesn’t look good. $8 for a bar of wax if they aren’t making enough money something is really wrong with their business plan. If I were a consultant and they took away the 25% they promised forever I would never buy scentsy again. It was in writing I’m sure, how is that not against the law to take it away? The whole thing is stressful and I’m just a customer. I know what you mean on having to disconnect from it.
Yes
I think I’ll go have a nap 😴
@ 🤣 and melt some relaxing wax lol
I think it is a major overhaul of changes ! All at once….
I am going to see what happens in a few months. SCENTSY makes $$$$$$,
Still offering trips
Thanks for sharing! I appreciate your positivity but that you are honest and authentic. I agree about the commission and that it will mostly only affect the little people (me), but also that they are hopeful it will push us to work harder. But I’m like you - I’m not going to push. It’s not authentic of me. And I need to put my family first (not leaving 6 kids to go on a cruise even if I’m the best consultant). It is what it is, and I hope it’s not a sign of the beginning of the end, and that it helps those of us who love the wax to keep the product. But I’m definitely nervous.
Thanks for weighing in Sarah
I am warming Amethyst from BBMB and Marshmallow Mint Cocoa they are both so good.💜💜
I think your approach is a solid one.
Wooly slippers and I’m so excited in my office I can smell it so it’s going in my club 100%!! 🙌
Congrats 🥳
Thank you for this Patricia, I am sorry I missed the live, but you just talked me off the cliff. 😂 I was ready to call it quits, but I will give it a few months to see how it goes financially. I am going to World Tour in Nashville in a few weeks. Will see how that goes.
I am still a newbie and only sell locally in my little town (just made certified last year)
They could drop all the licensed products in my opinion.
Sometimes waiting to see how things play out will make your decision one way or another more clear. Modify decision as needed once sure
Do you mean off the cuff? That’s what I was thinking.
Thank you for taking the time to do this video - well done. Caught a bit of the live and will watch what I missed to catch up. Lots of changes - will see how it all plays out.
Yes
Time will tell
I feel like there should be a way for us to email the customer an invoice to pay on their own when closing out a party so that they don’t have to give us their credit card information.
I’ve wondered about that myself. I’ve only had one customer not prefer to send the cc info, so we went with PayPal. (That has fees but oh well). Perhaps since I do videos they feel like they know me. I’m happy to have their trust.
The people within your country can do electronic funds transfers (which most of my Canadians prefer.)
If I do need to get cc info I always offer to call the customer or suggest they can split up the details over different platforms so all the info is not in 1 area. Example numbers in email, expiry and security code elsewhere like text, Instagram Messages etc.
hope that makes sense.
Thank You Patricia ❤
I'm warming Bundle Up! Seems appropriate, because it's freezing today! Thank you for all of your thoughts on the changes.
I’ve been warming a lot of cozy scents lately.
I hope you got your rest
🥰
Most days I’m waking up around 4am so I am tired
Sorry your reinstatement has been less than ideal
Watching this late to the game - it’s been a wild week! 😬😅
Enjoyed hearing your thoughts and discussion. 💜
I meant to highlight your video and forgot. Well done laying out the details of the changes
Thank you so much for your perspective.
You're welcome!
Warming the valentine bars . Really love the peppered with kisses
How’s the performance
Non consultant here… my question is do you have to buy in quantity of 6 to get the 10%? Meaning if I buy 8 bars do I only get 10% off 6 and the other 2 are full price? Regardless I’m probably just going to order through club now that way I get 10% off every item….unless there is something that I can’t order through club like LTO fragrance flowers etc.
My understanding now from Carries response is the 10% is applied to bars 1-6 only once you reach 6. After that bars 7,8,9, etc are full price until…you get to 12 bars. At 12 all would have 10% off, BUT a 13th bar would be regular price
Hopefully I’ve explained that properly and if that is how they intend to roll it out it makes club far more appealing as 10% occurs after a set threshold
@ that’s exactly how I took it too. Thank you for clarifying. I think they might find a lesser than expected outcome after implementing these changes. We shall see 😊
Haha the wrinkles! You're so fun to watch
I don’t remember talking about wrinkles, but the events of the last week or two might contribute 😂
I think we could do without the licensed products but I guess there are a few scents I’d miss.
@PatriciaG-NosetoToes we could still have those scents under a normal name. It's not like they're actually Disney created smells. Then maybe I would buy them too 😁
@Lachri good point! Jacks obsession could be re-named Apple Obsession etc
@@PatriciaG-NosetoToes exactly! ❤️
You do not need a website to have a club. I cancelled my original club and because I signed up through facebook I needed to go back and use a new email address to start up and access a new club. Scentsy walked me through it. I currently have a club but no active website.
That’s great information.
Are you going to World tour still or no?
@@PatriciaG-NosetoToes No sadly I can’t this time. I hope the next one?? (they need to do it in a better time, like Summer;)). I think I missed the deadline anyways?? I hope one day to cross paths with you.
It does seem like they are blaming it on the people earning the least. But then their fix is to push those people to get new customers and then have them push those new customers to become consultants….seems like a viscous cycle.
They ask for consultants of all types. To me you have to accept what level each person wants to commit to the business side of things (if any)
I reached out to support asking if I would still receive commission on my own Scentsy club if I canceled my PWS.
This was their reply today:
Thank you for contacting Scentsy. I am sorry to hear that you are thinking about cancelling your PWS. If you were to cancel your PWS subscription, you would still get the commission from your Scentsy Club. Feel free to contact us if you have any other questions or concerns.
I'm glad to hear that they clarified that
Thank you
I'm only a customer so certainly not in the know about all the behind the scenes dirt.
I don’t know much about the behind the scenes either. I feel like without Facebook you’re a bit out of the loop
I have a lot of wax from overbuying, so I’ve been trying to reduce purchasing over the past 12-18 months. So no real big changes for me
Dan O just stopped short of shrugging when he (briefly) mentioned the effect on hobbyist consultants of lower commission and higher activity requirements. Jettisoning your loyal customers in the hope of getting 'better' ones seems an odd way of doing business.
They seem to want people to join no matter what so hobbyists come with that.
Maybe not so much after 1 March! Such a shame because it's such a lovely product.
if I quit because they don't want hobbyists, I will no longer be a customer either.
Absolutely. Same here.
Sorry missed the live but watching replay.
Thanks for watching!
@ I must’ve missed that one. Poor guy. We shall see how this goes.
Agree on 15%. I think that would have been an easier pill to swallow with so many changes at once.
10% is not much. IMO
They said Lacey is no longer there due to performance issues posted on news tab was beyond unprofessional !!
Yes
I completely agree!
Oh they made it clear that 'that is how Lacey wanted it stated'. I still can't figure that one out.
just found this....Depending on the circumstances and local laws, stating a performance-related resignation might allow an employee to still qualify for unemployment benefits, whereas a direct termination might not.
I think it is a major overhaul of changes ! All at once….
I am going to see what happens in a few months. SCENTSY makes $$$$$$,

To 20%. Asking ALL TO SIGN NEW AGREEMENTS…

The sales decline seems to coincide with when DO entered as interim-CEO...
If do…then when they returned why keep him there?? Hmm

It was someone in the comment section and then in another similar video, they verbally called her out.
Just want to clarify: are you worried that “in the black” is a bad thing? It’s not. It’s a marketing term that means profitable. In the red means trouble. So when Dan said “in the black”, he means Scentsy is still turning profits.
It was just the way he said that like it was a “for now but with an ominous tone that it was barely in the black”
Just the way it was delivered alarmed me a bit
Sorry I missed the live! Watching the replay…
Thanks for watching!
Replay. Melting crème de menthe today.
Catching the replay now…
In england were loosing everything their only keeping scent circles, pods, scent paks, oils and bars.

@@pjacksone it’s on the workstation but the overall is 250 prv in a month to be active. Must be active one month every 12 months to have an active account.

Dan is the CEO. Typically, CEOs serve the fall person when things are not going well or announce news that will be unpopular. They want us to go back to basics but in my opinion you need to change and do things out of your comfort zone. Isn’t that what Scentsy reinforce.
Seems like it (CEO)
I hope no more shoes drop, it’s too cold here in the Maritimes to be running around in our bare feet, lol
Haha, yes. Could be worse. They probably did pick the less crappy options.
They could have chopped the B5G1Free all together. That’s probably later if this isn’t enough 🤦🏼♀️
Rewatching.
Thanks Angie
Ok…I will share something… everyone please do not shoot the messenger😅🙏🏻
Disney in The US has issues! Many do not purchase licensed products. This may
Be a bit of the issue..
Yes I’ve been hearing Disney has some issues. I’m not sure on the accuracy though.
100% agree. I have thought of that, too. Disney owned Marvel and Star Wars line has tanked, due to their own mismanagement and agenda pushing. I doubt Scentsy is making the money off Disney licensing that they expected.
I am shocked it is a complete overhaul change…

Excellent response!! Can I pin this?
@@PatriciaG-NosetoToes Certainly!
SCENTSY club will get best deal…10% off and shipping less…
As long as you don’t want a warmer / non consumable
Until they take away he 10%
Thank you again for sharing. I am a “hobbyist” consultant because I love the product and why not make some $
But the changes they are making are impacting the customers and consultants a lot and it is hard to swallow
Not sure how this will all unfold but if it becomes more of a hassle then it is worth then…✌🏾
Yes exactly.
I wish I could go to World Tour (even if it’s just once) but unless my whole family goes to the location it’s not feasible
@PatriciaG-NosetoToes world tour is just the regional one. It's in Halifax this year. I'm sort of in the same scenario for the big yearly conference and can't make those or incentive trips happen
@@jana.mallory oh yes of course! My brain is seriously scrambled. My whole family is sick except me so please forgive me.
If you see me would you please come up and introduce yourself? Maybe we can take a selfie
@@PatriciaG-NosetoToes hopefully everyone feels better soon 💚
That zoom with Dan was the most long winded, boring and overly complicated speech I’ve ever heard! He could have sent an email about the changes and saved everyone’s time. Dan Orchard is crap at his job.
It seemed long and I watched it only once.
Meh…typical Shady MLM business.🤷🏻♀️
Sorry I missed your live, I was planning on watching but our wifi had other plans of not working! Change always sucks, but in order to grow change is needed. I guess and hope we will be chatting more in the future on Instagram and or ill be adding or editing my club for bars
Change is hard for sure! Well said
