In the video, we have wrongly mentioned as refresh rate set to 120hz, in fact it was set to auto. Apologies for the error in the video
Not a bad battery backup for a normal user like me! 😯
Don't trust moto bro
Not bad for a small battery, it could have been great with 5000mAh, but 8 h of SoT actually means two days for an average user... if you spend more than 4 hours/day looking at a screen, you have a problem... :))
8 hours is one third of the day. I think that is good for most of the people
I have used it on other UTVs but still it didn't provide that much battery backup How did you get so much battery backup?
Please suggest me what should I buy ?
I phone 15 or Motorola Edge 50 Neo
Not right to spend money on iphone right now. Just wait for iphone 16 AI reveal and decide how much you are missing out on and then decide. Iphone 17 is rumored to have higher refresh rate,so better wait for it.
Nice of you to do this review, for the reason this device may be apt for non gamers. A smaller size battery is acceptable considering the small form factor(nowadays you dont get small size devices in this price range) Any way for the smaller size battery is optimised as is evident from the SOT
Did you faced flickering issue at low brightness?
I'm going to use this phone for next 3 year...over the time battery drain? Worth it to buy, I'm a normal user.
Motorola battery improve after 3wks of usage its pattern always
Can you please tell which choice will be better.. camera centric phone, day to day performance smooth lag free, bug free, less than moderate gaming, content watching.. MOTOROLA EDGE 50 NEO VS REALME 12 PRO PLUS?
U forgot to mention it has ltpo which can reduce ur screen refresh rates to 1hz when not in use
Setting refresh rate to 120 hz defeats LTPO display.. pls repeat test while setting to auto.
I’m sorry it is not possible to do test in different conditions
He is not youe slave or employee dude. 120hz gave 8.5 hours so auto will give some more minutes, get it. Why comment at such tone!
Sir
Please do mi 14 battery draining test with thermal checking
Sir this is the video I was looking for….
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I am not a gamer neither camera person. My preference is watching videos & social media. But i am using that continuously. So should i go for this?
Same, no games and hardly use camera. I bought it already though, haven't received it yet.
That depends on literally your size preference. If you want to consume videos and social media on a comparatively smaller screen, go for it. However, if you want a bigger screen that also happens to have some better video watching features (like HDR and Dolby Vision), you might as well go with Poco X6 Pro. You'll have the added advantage of better performance (you don't game, but a smoother UI experience and future proofing hurts no one) as well as save a bit of cash if you buy it in the next 2 days (for 19-21k vs Edge 50 Neo's 22-23k)
@@mohkh653 after you get the delivery, can you please share the battery performance review
@@harshgajera9444 Sure bro.
@@parsibava I actually have Poco X6 pro at home, my mom uses it. Gaming and all is great. But I don't like the UI, Camera is very bad and it had battery drain issues which are now fixed. To oversimplify, its not a fun phone to use but best at what its good at, great performance and a good display.
**Attention viewer**
Don’t judge battery at the initial days of phone, you should judge after at least a week cos battery takes time to calibrate accordingly…😊
Yes every Motorola phones gives low battery in first 1-3wks after gives great
@@sundark9407 exactly
Normal use me kitna battery 🔋 hrs chalega
@Techniqued: thanks for your efforts on testing this device. I have also watched your videos about nord 4 as well. I am in a dilemma currently to chose between nord 4 and moto edge 50 neo. I am not a gamer and use my phone for watching some important videos in youtube also I am movie buff apart from regular day to day use.
Please can you suggest whether moto edge neo is better than nord 4 to buy considering nord4 has 5500 mah battery. I appreciate your response sir
How are confused between these 2. Come on it doesn't make sense man.
However, as you are movie buff go with nord as it is bigger.
No problems in ui both are premium. (Check other features on UA-cam)
Cameras, i would say both are good OnePlus is more towards natural and moto is more towards more boosted colors.
Same for videos plus you will get 4k in front for moto only.
If you play casual gaming both are good. But nord is def a lot better.
Both are good in heat management.
Battery is better in one plus plus very fast charge.
What else do you want? ask it.
There is a price diff of 6-7k, and edge pro is somewhat a competitor for nord.
Also, I think you are talking about CE4 not Nord 4 and with that phone I would say stick with moto for better software support of 5years.
But here you go🤷🏻
Nord 4 is a different category, more premium and also powerful hardware. Obviously Nord 4 is better here. Moto Edge 50 Neo should ideally be compared with Nord CE 4
@@ShubhamSingh-tt3kz hey thanks for the suggestion buddy.
I was about to buy nord4 as it satisfies all my requirements but when they released neo with flat display, small size, ltop screen and sensible camera option I got confused. I am not fan of curved screen so I didn’t opt for other moto variants. But neo satisfied all my requirements except battery and charging and hence waited for battery drain tests from youtubers
@@ShubhamSingh-tt3kz If he is talking about Nord CE 4 then 50 neo is better. , And even if by mistake he is talking about nord 4 then nord 4 is ahead in every aspect including price and except camera.
5G network pe battery backup dikhao wifi mein toh backup jyda dega hi
Please listen to the video
Can you tell, UA-cam video playback was in 1080p or 4k ?
1080p
It doesn't make any sense to see a 4k video in such a small display.
What about overnight idle drain
Depends again, if you are connected to wifi it will drain less than 5G network, also depends on the number of notifications that comes, for example WhatsApp. So it difficult to say a figure for over night drain
I also forgot mine was on wifi or cellular but I sleep a lot and in 10 hrs it dropped 4 percent only🙃
Why didn't you test while setting the refresh rate to auto?
It was set to auto, I just cross checked. I wrongly mentioned as 120
Just 13% drop for 1hr of gaming??? 😮, when doing math we can game 7.5hrs+ with this phone in a single charge. Can't believe it.
4 hr chalta he bgmi 🤐
Ths is bullshit..even 5500mah battery capacity with LTPO display sometimes dont reach 8 hrs of SOT..😂
Oh man, I wish you could understand a bit more
Cry with your knowledge then😂
Regular condition test❤
fake or real UN Logon gsena video To Kaun gailu kivabe? replay
Ok as soon as resoon as possible as very discriminating protection
Who see moto ad before video 😆
Edge 50 neo vs poco x6 pro
This is fake one I am using this I'm getting around 6 hrs+ only but not exceeds 6.5 for sure
Did you even listen to what I said? People don’t even bother to listen to what is being said but posts such idiotic comments
@@Techniqued cool bro its practical thing which I said 2 u, may vary from user to users!! But I'm pretty sure this device won't get above 6+ hrs is my point🤣
@Aravi824 that’s what I too said in the video and you said it is fake. Just because anything didn’t satisfy your requirement or taste doesn’t mean it is fake. Make sensible comments
Other youtubers draining time is 100 to 0 is 6hours 03mins...😂
So what? Each person using different apps, different networks and wifi speeds, don’t have common sense to understand these basic things ?
Of course because those guys ran benchmark tests, throttling tests etc which will reduce the SoT. Techniqued took a more casual and real life usage example which is good as mostly people will be using in that way.
@@rudraxx Exactly, a benchmark and throttling test combined will reduce the battery by 15-20% easily. So it varies based on the apps, I have tested with apps we generally use instead of benchmarking ones
@@Techniqued some people just lack critical thinking which can sometimes get really annoying. Anyway, keep up the good work brother. Don't forget to upload the long term usage review of this phone maybe after a couple of months. That'll be helpful.
One less charging taste
8.30Hrs Sot Can't believe
As I said it is not a real world test, because idle drain is not taken into consideration
@@Techniqued I appreciate your efforts, but doesn't such a test defeat the purpose of informing the customers with relevant information? If it's not a real world test, it doesn't help those wanting to use this in the real world, right?
You should understand that no one can test real world conditions since network varies, room temperature varies, and a lot of other things, every test is done in certain conditions, I hope everyone knows that. BTW did you watch the video fully?
@@Techniqued Yes, I entirely understand that the test conditions can vary from case to case basis. Which is why adding idle drain to your test would have given the viewers an understanding of the overall battery performance within the context of YOUR testing. In my view, this would make the test more holistic. Yes, I did watch the entire video :)
