He's one of the three Mage companions from Dragon Age Inquisition, is cultured/suave as all get out, and is SUPER gay. He's very open about his orientation, but is polite to a male Inquisitor who doesn't swing that way. No creep factor.

The Tolkien female dwarfs are basically indistinguishable from the males. Though in my campaign they can grow facial hair they tend to shave it clean to help distinguish

Yeah so the character's name is Elwin and he LITERALLY broke his home when trying to learn some heavy magic. SoOoO he murdered his family on accident. He panicked so he started to run and he proceeded to accidentally kill some guards. So now he is still on the run, trying to figure out how he could get out of it because he is a wanted criminal. He's depressed, but an ok guy. Just misunderstood.

Only wizards need to be able to read to cast spells.
Sorcerer can cast them innately, but often don't understand or care how or why they work.

In D&D terms, Dr. Strange "Sorcerer Supreme" is actually a wizard,
and "Wizard" Harry Potter is actually a sorcerer.
In traditional terminology, a male witch is a warlock. In Harry Potter, it’s a Wizard, which would be called a sorcerer in D&D. In D&D, all three of those things are separate and witches aren’t even a thing. In conclusion, terminology for magic users is messed up.
Wizards in the Potterverse still have to learn spells, they're just born attuned to magic. The issue, maybe, is that the Potterverse doesn't use Vancian magic. They memorize spells in the classical definition of memorization, not "I said the words, so I forgot them now."

I was thinking of having an immortal (there are different ones with varying degrees of vulnerability/aging) who has a fodder of minor spells and a few bigger limited use items or items with limited utility (like a pair of illusory necklaces that allow the wearers switch appearances and voices). How would I build something like that (he would be undead for lore reasons)?
Julia, I'm almost 100% sure that Dorian the gay mage from Dragon age: Inquisition has not slept with many ladies.
Dorian is for the ladies playing the game, but not for ladies in the game. I haven't heard any woman crap on Dorian.

I kind of want to see where their story goes. Like, Ed and Urdan are constantly looking for adventure to have more meaning in their lives, and somehow J'niss keeps showing up and helping for no reason while being a total Karen. And every time they find a legit problem to deal with, as adventurers do, a roaming group of adventurers deals with it out of no where.
"Ugh, I was totally about to rescue that kid from the kobolds with my friend as backup, but those guys beat me to it."
"So that Ed guy, talked me into going to save that bratty kid. Glorious combat blah blah blah, basically I just want my dad to get off my back about getting a 'real' job... I'm not happy here either, but I have the strength of a noodle so..."

Oh my god so there was a player in my group who did this. She was a dwarf doing anthropological research on the unique culture of a remote island’s native inhabitants. After a couple years among them, she was invited by them to a ritual and had no idea what the words meant. She was always dismissing their culture’s beliefs, but she found out she had just been accepted into their tribe. When she came back to her academy to publish her research, it was rejected and her peers laughed at her silly interests.
That was her first rage.

I had an idea for a character similar to the second one you guys made. He’s an elf who grew up in an orc tribe after he and his mom were exiled from elven lands and she got remarried to an orc. He tries really hard to be a tough barbarian so he can fit in with the cool orcs, but he usually just ends up making himself look like a dweeb.

Also half-orcs don't necessarily need tusks. Even though I much prefer them myself.
So after Shmando, we got DanxEd (Eddan? Ded? Uruin?). Here's my scenario:
Ed: REALLY admires Dan, but being sheltered he doesn't really know if it's romantic love or not. He just knows that he likes spending time with him, and it feels nice when he actually listens to the stuff he says. He wishes he could become more like him, stronger, smarter, cooler, more handsome. "Maybe then he'd look more at me... Wish we could go on an adventure together." He sighs. "Maybe I'll invite him next time..." and he finds himself red to the tip of his ears. (Please refer to the awesome thumbnail) Strange, lately that's been happening a lot.
Meanwhile, Dan: used to having eyes on him, but he was honestly surprised when the cute elf boy from the Vineyard's started buzzing around him. He's a real handful but Dan finds him kind of endearing. Ed talks about non-sense 9 times out of 10, but still, Dan can't help smiling throughout their small exchanges. And when Ed compliments him saying how strong he is, or how smart, hell, even when he gives him another Airpod™, it feels different than when women at the brothel do the same; it feels real. And warm.
"That's why it's scary." Ed is just a boy, he's too green, too inexperienced, Dan cannot take on such responsibility! The boy is always watching with those starry eyes, what if he discovers that Dan's not as perfect as he thought? What if he ends up disappointed? He cannot do this, Ed's too sensible, one just needs to look at him in the eyes and suddenly he's red. Like roses blooming up to the tip of his ears.
"Keep him at arm's length." Dan reminds himself. "Well, it would be nice if we met today."
Aaand that would be a rough sketch for the character introduction. At the very start of this I just wanted to write a simple two liner celebrating my new ship, but then I REALLY got into it and now it 4am and I'm planning a 12 ch fanfic. You really should be sorry, Drawfee.

Since in DnD it's common for characters to know more than one language and being in a brothel kind of location means meeting people from all over, I'm imagining that Urden knows just a whole bunch of languages, but still never learned to read or write in any of them
I love it, Ed and Urdan would make great characters.
Love how they evolved from a 3 line sentence, to become characters with a voice and a way of speaking, you came up with likes and dislikes for them. Connected their stories so they'd met before. Came up with Rough Topic and a Sorcerer school Urdan wants to go to. It is great.
Could use this video as a learning aid for people wanting to make their first character in D&D.
With that please draw more D&D related stuff.
Perhaps something to really make you guys try something you don't do on Drawfee.

You missed your chance to name the dwarf Karen and to make the elf a Goth...seeing as how the Goths were one of the “barbarian” tribes present during the decline of the Roman Empire (not to be confused with the visigoths, who were also present)
Visigoths and Ostrogoths were two branches of the larger category of Goths: the Visigoths were the ones who crossed the Danube after the united Gothic kingdom (in modern Ukraine) got roflstomped by the Huns, while the Ostrogoths were the ones who didn't and remained under Hunnic dominion until after the break-up of the Hunnic Empire following the Battle of Chalons in 451 A.D. (which basically pitted the Roman-allied Visigoths vs. the Hunnic-allied Ostrogoths).

sorcerers have innate magic abilities, while wizards study the art of spell casting, and warlocks gain potent magic from their patrons. At least in D&D terms that is.
I recently rolled a sorcerer who is like, a street urchin who has never read a book in her life, lol.

Rachel Nanshija Sorcerers get it from their heritage, wizards learn it, druids get it from nature, warlocks, clerics and paladins have a godly patron and bards get it from music somehow. I feel like I’m missing something
Plan B Gaming artificers if you wanna count them, and I think rangers have spells?
Rangers are basically druids-lite but racist and we haven't even touched arcane tricksters and eldritch knights yet. Warlock patrons aren't really godly it's more that they find a powerful entity that kind of loans them magic. Bards get it from both words and music.

Ironically, compulsive lying is common among gambling addicts. So the reason why they lie is often to cover up their problems. when that kind of lying get them in big trouble, the logical outcomes can include being fired from their jobs, being entangled with criminal elements, even facing the courts for embezzlement or grand larceny.
So I guess that this dwarf rogue is a gambling addict who is a frequent patron of a high-end gambling house; he has access to all kinds of perks. But his debts to the house is huge and he have to become a mercenary in order to pay the bills.

This gen is how I rolled up an agoraphobic elven druid from the high plains desert...and was siezed with a mighty determination to make the character playable. Killweasel's backstory involved a LOT of screaming at scenery.

This is pretty neat, drawing randomly generated things. You could maybe check out "Humblebird's Infinite Monsters", a book where they give you a system to roll a bunch of d6s to generate some kind of wacky monster. You seem more willing to flex your creativity when you're not restricted to just humanoids.
