I agree, this was expensive for what it was, there might be more steel than it looks like or the galvanized panels are more expensive. If I get some time, I’m going to to try and put a similar design into CAD and see what the material list looks like. I would love to be able to cure out a tote of ash in a day or two. Have a great day Around the Yard!
Yes! I’m looking forward to seeing the production model. Sounds like a 6-way wedge is in the works as well as a longer conveyor. I believe I miss spoke on the cutting clamping controls, the clamping and cutting action is done with one lever, one motion.
Wouldn't mind a 360 grapple on my 1 ton, put a blade on 1 side turn it into a cutter/splitter. Been looking for that for a while but now I just need to unload a bunch of machines before winter. Gotta cover my new 2.5T machine and mini skid soon.
I hear that, I don’t think a rotating grapple is in the card this year. I have a few rock walls left to build, and one would be great! Have a great day Around the Yard!
Thanks for watching Daniel! I am one of those folks, I tend to put my wood out of site alone the woods so it takes longer to cure in the partial shade. I’d love to be able to set a couple totes that were close at 25% or so and bring them down to 20 or less in hours.
I know, I couldn’t believe it either! Pretty neat concept though, definitely going to add it to the things to build bucket list that is already a mile long.
It’s a very competitive price compared to the other small processors in this class. The Hahn offers lots of features found on larger processors. Reach out to Hammerhead Attachments, Kelly and Kody would be more than happy to answer any questions you may have. www.hammerheadattachments.com
I don’t know, there wasn’t any signage on it, and my tour of it happened while the owner had stepped away. Unfortunately I didn’t get back to it, to ask more questions. I’ll try and make a point to get more information on it next year.
@@AroundTheYard-MN seems simple just a basic 2” metal frame with some sort of insulation and sheet metal roof and walls. A little bit of ductwork and a kerosene or propane heater and a couple fans.
Exactly. The insulation I think I saw in the walls was a foil backed insulation board, couldn’t have been much more than an inch thick, I think there is a point in the video where I try and get the camera to look into the wall panel. I’ll look for the time stamp and edit this response.
11K for that USD ? Ill sell you the unit I have on my channel for that price , it can dry about 7 cubic meter or more at a time (5 cubes= a cord loose) . and its WAY WAY WAY better
I’m not in the market for a kiln, but this was the only kiln I saw at the show. And this one just happened to be something that looked like a professional homeowner / wood hound would be able to build in there shop.
That split force is sweet . Thanks for sharing . 👍🏻
Chris and I had fun wearing off all that paint.
That is so cool
Hahn makes great equipment I think.
Hahn is very well built!
Thanks for the info Brent, I thought about the mini kiln for a lot less if i build it.

@@AroundTheYard-MN I have a guy working on the same thing for me.
Cool, let us know what you come up with.
see the kiln I have on my channel I can sell them for $11K USD probably
I think a good welding fab shop could make one way cheaper
The Hahn is going to have a few changes made to the production models. Hopefully soon they will have some of them out and around to do some testing.

Guess if one needed to make firewood faster, I guess the kiln is the way to go.
Overall thanks for taking us along

JC! $11,000! Good lord!

The Hahn looks very nice but very big price tag I feel for what it is

Is there a site for the mini kiln? I’m definitely interested in getting specs

@ Ty I’ll probably have something built by then
Me too with any luck. 🍀

Who makes that micro kiln?
I’m not sure, it didn’t have any markings on it.
Did they say a price for the mini pro 250?
Final pricing wasn’t listed, but I heard whispers of high 30’s to low 40’s for the production model.
😮
