It’s a shame it wasn’t done when these plans were drawn up 6 years ago, but something to look forward to now 😊

I’ve always felt the retail aspect has been terrible. The store in its current location is uninviting, it’s hidden away from public view, it’s a small and cluttered space once you’re inside. Always felt like it never made sense. The plans you have shown are a lot better, however I think our buildings in general are super dated. Even with the new proposed design here, I really don’t like that small canopy and I really dislike the office window look, it still looks outdated even with these touch ups to me. Saying that though, it is a clear and obvious improvement regardless of my opinion. I’d like to see better branding on our buildings overall.
Side note about dated buildings. The SOL is super outdated from the outside. I believe the stadium needs some reworking to look modern on the outside (inside needs updating too and is the priority for me.) I love the brick work but there can be more space provided by extending outwards and applying more modern materials in areas. I’d love something that combines the brickwork with wood and glass. Hide the corrugated metal a bit, at least in some areas. Everything that was build in the 90’s and early 00’s just looks like something from a housing development rather than a modern football stadium.
Of course these are just wishes rather than necessities (right now.) The way I view things is that we need to develop and compete in order to secure our future, especially with having a future fan base. We will lose out to Newcastle in the surrounding areas of the north east if we don’t manage things correctly and aren’t urgent or ambitious enough. However, to achieve such goals we need to improve the city of Sunderland as a whole. It needs to be a genuinely attractive place to live, work and go. We need to think about what people from outside the region/ country want, need and find desirable in a place…and it’s our job to meet those expectations to ensure the city and club survives for future generations. Everything is to look more attractive for potential investors, businesses, players etc. Things are slowly moving in the right direction but we need to work out a few things. Some questions we should ask of ourselves, our club and our city:
    1) What is our identity? What makes us unique and unlike everywhere else in the world?
    2) Who are we trying to attract? What industries do we want to attract?
    3) What are we missing, as a club and as a city?
    4) How can we achieve this?

Who is the architect of this new exterior design ?
Can I say the club crest should be above the door canopy and as its called the black cat house then put the black cat emblem and name in the centre of the 3 windows on the right side !!!!

Just throwing white cladding on the brickwork looks cheap.
