it's not really a stunt; other musicians have made cameos in the show, and they've been trying to Ed Sheeren on it as a surprise for Maisie Williams for a long time now
Exactly ....it was planned for Maisie, Ed wasn't really sure about it at first,...and the scene was a pillar for Arya because it was meant to bring her back to humanity...remind her of "home" and "family"; so regardless of "who" was in it...the scene had a purpose.
I love Sara. i see where she is coming from but i didn't have a problem with his cameo but would have been better if he got a fight scene and was killed or something

Not really, it was a VERY small cameo. There are thousands of people who weren't taken out of it because it was so small. Also all he did was sing, and his voice has a very soft feel to it that actually kinda fits the setting and atmosphere of Game of Thrones

Sars is completely right, it was shot terribly and was utterly cheesy. They put way too much emphasis on him and it took away from the scene
