fun fact: 'turret' comes from an Old French word 'tourete' meaning 'small tower' (tour-ete) - usually attached to a large castle/building. It still retains this meaning but has come to also refer to guns since turrets of old were also used for defense. So you technically put turrets in your turrets!

I love when solos look out for eachother and are reasonable. Can’t tell you how many times a toxic solo turned ally because a zerg base or a group dominated them and they had no choice but to look for allies lol.

This is what building in the original component and XP systems was like. You can't stuff four foundations into each other, but at least you can clip through terrain again. So much more freedom, I'm excited to see you push it in future builds!

A little tip, if you need to place an oil refinery outside, you can build an extremely small base for it (less than 2.5k stone). Find terrain where if you place a twig square foundation, the terrain covers two opposite sides of it, while still being flat enough to place an oil refinery. On those two sides place a wall. On the other 2 opposite sides of the twig square foundation, place and upgrade a triangle foundation. One triangle is where your tc goes and the other triangle (on the opposite side of tc) is where your airlock goes. Close in the roof, destroy the square twig foundation and place your oil refinery.

It really struck me in this video just how good Willjum is at this game. His ability to read a situation in advance and predict the outcome was simply flawless, true skill. His base building is not bad either!
