Fun fact for tarps: Bait level below 3 means that a fish trap will catch only a set of misc loot, which includes tarps! Worms have a bait level of 2.5, and can be used for this task if not stacked. Of course it means you need dedicated refilling but this method gets extra diving fins and water jugs as well, so it can be very nice if you're trying to set up farming as well.

FYI: You don't actually need to remove the fish caught after each one. If you place the bait furthest to the right in the trap it will keep consuming bait and catching fish. You just need to check on it that it doesn't destroy the trap as it takes damage every time it triggers. At least you could weeks ago so unless they've updated it you can just leave it.
I tried this out last night, my bait kept getting consumed but i never had more than one fish caught, do you know if it ends up using the fish its caught as bait for more fish? Or can you just peave 20 bear meat in there on the right and come back to 5-10 fish?

I don't know what black magic this is, but I came to watch and then comment on how I really would love to see you do some bases in different locales than all the usual ones that you've been doing for years over and over, like a swamp fortress, then was pleasantly surprised! Hopefully you'll do some more unique locales soon again!
