The powerscaling isn't all that well portrayed in the anime so I can see why it's hard to tell. But then it also doesn't really need it, it would be wasted exposition at best.

the weird thing about his "random" reward boxes in the light novel is that the items always seem to find a use in a day or two. bandages in the hospital, a paper cup when his water dispencer ran out, a pen that he uses to give the nurse his number, the key to get that dungeon, the umbrella for his sister. everything was in hand for when he would need it.

Since episode 1, we've heard the manhau readers talking about Sung Drip-woo. Drip-woo this, Drip-woo that, he's the GOAT - and we haven't really seen why. A lot of people thought that the glow up in episode 5 was it and felt underwhelmed. But TRUE Drip is more than a pretty face and 2% body fat. Drip is a mindset. Drip is visceral and you feel it in your bones. THIS is Sung Drip-woo. Solo Leveling only gets better from here

2 things A) I’m so glad y’all noticed that the scene with the 3 women talking was for world building and played directly into what was happening. I’ve seen a few other reactors call it filler or that they should’ve had it earlier or not at all cause it “interrupted” the flow of the fight scene. It was put there to show that with a proper guild you don’t get things like hunters squads that kill members cause even if they come out they still have to answer to their guild on what happened in there. While with strike squads it’s pretty much a free for all & anybody can join the groups so it’s easier to get away with things like that. B) saying homedude got turned into a convertible is one of the most hilarious ways I’m heard describe somebody getting they head lopped off 😂

In the Manhwa drain was actually called bleed. Another fun fact he didn't have a weapon in the beginning cause what he could afford would end up breaking in the dungeon.
by the end of the episode he is B rank - but something to note - the ranks E,D, and C though they are significant difference in strength, it is no where near the large difference between, B, A, and S - this is why they add the fact that with good enough armor/weapons it isn’t impossible for either to beat a rank higher (though very very slim chance). But once you are talking about B to A rank or A to S rank - that is legit impossible due to the difference - so yeah he is B rank now

For clarification on the question you asked about when the 3 times they tried to kill him were: 1st time was when they blocked off the entrance and left them for dead 2nd time was when magic man blasted him. He was going for the kill and was under orders from main dude 3rd time was when the main dude himself tried to kill him. He didn't count the others trying since the others did it on their own besides magic dude
It would have been a lot better if they showed Jinwoo's sinister smile(which made him look more terrifying to Jinho) as he harvests the essence stones from the boss. In the manhwa he was so happy that he got 10 essence stones, in the anime they only showed one.
To be fair the rich kid was fucking terrified, because he thought this guys was a total weakling, than thought that he lied about his power, for no other reason than to kill creatures weaker than him, it’s like this guy is willing to be paid a lot less, and forgo respect they deserve just to kill. Like their is no reason to fake your strength. Unless you want easy fights, and probably to kill and steal from people, as even if you are a high rank you can just choose, easy fights, meaning you are giving up a shit ton of money, just to trick some people who should be your friends, meaning it’s likely they are doing it just to kill other hunters.

I don't really understand why many people overlook the fact that he would have been cooked without systems daily quest reward and skill. He isn't a A rank or B it just happens that he has other things that are perfect for him to hold up against a C Rank monster if it had been an upper C Rank hunter with experience it's not the same. He was most likely low c rank when he fought the boss, going by the assumption of his friend about power scaling hunters vs bosses(he was right too), which is why he had to use the full heal to beat it. So when he was fighting the other guys, he was prob about high C rank or low B after the boss.
I think many people don't understand this but the reason why everyone just discards a E rank in investigation is because it's like accusing a leg -less person of running and Killing people which you and me both know it's not possible so you won't even think about it.

If a shape shifter suddenly existed in our world. Innocent people may go to jail for that person’s crimes lol. I feel a certain irony when you guys say the characters don't pick up on certain things. You kept saying about the mana crystals but it's clearly been state that the dungeon ends when the boss is killed. You have to remember not much time actually passed from the time Jinwoo killed the spider to when he slaughtered them.
For the false rankers, it's EXTREMELY rare to be able to have that much control. And considering you can't change your own level, it'll most likely just be a useless skill one has. So no, you can't "just control your magic." The subtitles even said that it's super rare.
The song added the Ambience that the anime was holding back in the Manhwa. More anime needs to have this. For those like me who read the Manhwa, we know its a great anime. Now we know its always possible to get better.
I like how the guild leader wanted to step out of his brother's shadow and prove himself, yet when his life is on the line, he tries to rely on the "Do you know who my brother is?" threat. He wasn't truly about it.
Jin woo basically about B rank at that point, Differences between ranks are pretty much exponential , 1 B rank can probably fight about 20 C ranks and win depending on different factors of course. Easily comparable to One punch man S rank hunters Vs the rest of them. Also huge difference between those ranks aswell, Jin woo was about mana power level 10 before and they said that the average E rank was roughly 70 . It's hard to gage his power level right now because we havent really seen the S rank level hunters fight yet but they are just on a different level from A-E ranked hunters. About 100 times per rank im sure and also between them aswell .
Thankfully, Jinwoo's not leaving empty-handed. If the Essence Stone he got off the boss was C-Rank quality, it's worth quite a bit of money for him. More than enough for what he needs for the moment.

by the end of the episode he is B rank - but something to note - the ranks E,D, and C though they are significant difference in strength, it is no where near the large difference between, B, A, and S - this is why they add the fact that with good enough armor/weapons it isn’t impossible for either to beat a rank higher (though very very slim chance). But once you are talking about B to A rank or A to S rank - that is legit impossible due to the difference - so yeah he is B rank now

He was most likely low c rank when he fought the boss, going by the assumption of his friend about power scaling hunters vs bosses(he was right too), which is why he had to use the full heal to beat it. So when he was fighting the other guys, he was prob about high C rank or low B after the boss.

I feel a certain irony when you guys say the characters don't pick up on certain things. You kept saying about the mana crystals but it's clearly been state that the dungeon ends when the boss is killed. You have to remember not much time actually passed from the time Jinwoo killed the spider to when he slaughtered them.
For the false rankers, it's EXTREMELY rare to be able to have that much control. And considering you can't change your own level, it'll most likely just be a useless skill one has. So no, you can't "just control your magic." The subtitles even said that it's super rare.

Also huge difference between those ranks aswell, Jin woo was about mana power level 10 before and they said that the average E rank was roughly 70 . It's hard to gage his power level right now because we havent really seen the S rank level hunters fight yet but they are just on a different level from A-E ranked hunters. About 100 times per rank im sure and also between them aswell .
