Saw them in calabria, Italy in some tiny village when I was about 12, I remember I wanted to buy their CD and my dad said "oh don't waste your money on that you'll never listen to it" I'm 24 now still loving every second of their music, it's more than just music it's pure passion in the form of sound!
@Futura I'm not sure, I found some nice playlists on UA-cam and Spotify that you'd probably like called Arabic Spanish music or Andalucía guitar. If you find more bands like this please let me know if you have the time 😁
Jesucristo impresionante Veo este vídeo lunes 8 de marzo de 2021 y me ha cambiado la vida en cuanto a lo musical, ahora más que nunca amo el cajón 👏👏👏👏 Saludos desde Asunción Paraguay
I love the way Heidi "plays" the song. She's way more than a timekeeper or rhythmic embellisher.....she's as much a melodist on her cajon as the guitarist is on his guitar.
Hi , Heidi , nice to meet you . I am Peruvian and I am writing to tell you that the cajon was created in my country with the arrival of the black African race that was brought by the Spanish during the viceroyalty as as slaves in the haciendas and mines. It is not true what the Spanish say that it was created by them, there is historical evidence that the cajon is Peruvian and one of our musicians named Caito Soto gave a cajon to Paco de Lucia so that he could learn it. Thank you very much for continuing to play this very beautiful instrument from my country.
Her name is Heidi Joubert, "Fernando's Kitchen" band....She plays very well. An insperation to many who would like to take up an instrument. "Cajon" originally from Peru. I find it rather amusing when I think about this cajon. As children, in the streets of New York City, many of us used to hit the cajon, a wooden box, because we could not afford drums. But look at it now....Just about any one can make on and make a profit out of it.
Hi Heidi, I too play cajon in a 3 piece acoustic band (more 'pop' kind of stuff, but really fun) and really appreciate a great player like you : ) i'm saving up for your Cruz cajon. I really like the crashy sound of that cymbal. Can you tell me the size, make and model please? I just bought a 10" Istanbul hand splash but it didn't sound 'crashy' enough? Cheers, Gaz
I bet the box wishes it was you. It would have even more fun than it does now, if that were possible. Isnt she something? And not just her looks, which really shouldnt matter.
Heidi, If you ever want to try a new instrument, I am literally the newest model of Cajun drum. Just sit on my back and smack my bum cheeks, and honestly i will make the best music you've ever heard in your life!
I respect your guitar skills, but I would like some more variation / melody. You always return to the same rift in more of your videos and it gets a little bit boring...

Your drummer's rhythm is mystifying
