Ah, Paul. Thanks for your kind words. I've watched your channel for some time, back when I got my 501cm your videos were a big inspiration 👍
Thank you Thomas your welcome, really nice to know some of this stuff goes full circle. Keep doing what your doing!
Good old Ted Forbes absolutely, Matt Day 👏 and Adrian , Thomas, love his van and trips. Plus you've mentioned some new ones look forward to checking out the rest
BROOOOOO!!!! Have been off grid. Just saw this. HUMBLED! You see one of the guys that gave me the inspiration to start a channel. I saw that you could be authentic. You made me believe. Thank you.
Thanks man bravo on your recent achievements!
this is such a humble post. absolutely beautiful.
Paul, for me, your channel is a huge inspiration. Every time you post a vlog I want to pick up my camera and go out.
Thanks Simon
Great episode Paul. Thanks
Hey Grant thank you mate, hope your well!
Paul you make photography fun. I hate tose profound fellas! Small cameras, hand held exploring. Thank You! Bravo! Oh! Shoot more!
Thanks Jason
Great Video Paul, it's wonderful when you find a subject you can return to time after time! 2:02 almost abstract! lots of texture! I agree with your thoughts on Thomas Heaton 100% photographer, but as a video story teller 200% Paul Taylor is a great guy! I love his work! Thanks Paul Smith
thanks for your influencer, very interesting people you show us
Mate.....absolutely blown away thanks so much for the kind words and constant encouragement, brought a tear to my eye in a blokey sorta way, and there's a lot of pollen in the air. There are a couple of new creators in there for me to checkout too. I can't recall the exact video but I clearly remember the first time I saw your work back in the early days of your channel, I remember commenting along the lines of complimenting your work and saying it's the most authentic selection of photographs I've seen in so long. I don't ever have any blocks when it comes to photography I live and breath it just love it to bits, but That video of yours and your channel in general reignited my passion for film photography. Thanks again for incredible words mate I'm gobsmacked XXXXXXXX
Good onya mate, keep up the good work you are doing!
@@PaulCSmithPhotographer that's easy mate it keeps me ever so slightly sane XXX
Thanks Paul love your work, keep it up mate. Thanks for the mention 🙏
Your welcome
Paul - Thank you so much for taking the time out to answer my question. As others who have enjoyed this piece, I am sure they are as I, very grateful for your content.
Thomas I watch frequently. Your other influences I shall watch.
Looking forward to enjoying physically "Incidents of Isolation".
Take care
Hi Richard thanks for your support. I didn't answer the whole question in this episode, in my next episode due out in a few days I will address the rest. Thanks again!
Gentleman. Enjoy your weekend Paul
And likewise thank you Paul you are an inspiration to many and we appreciate the time and energy you put into your content and end product. As I have said to you previously you have inspired me to try long exposures something I have never done before and my negs are back and apart from a slight light leak I was chuffed so thank you for inspiring me to take my analogue journey in a different direction.
I appreciate that!
Glad to hear you will keep doing ‘What you want’ to create. I imagine you’ll get lots of suggestions of channels to watch and I would like to recommend ‘Shoot Film Like a Boss’ and The Photographic Eye . Keep up the good content and all the best.
Thanks Saalik
Great video as usual Paul, many thanks for giving a shout out to your fellow UA-camrs.
I love watching your videos and even have your books. I've heard of some of the photographers mentioned here.
I'll look up the others 📷👍
Hey Eltin thanks mate!
Great video. We share several of the influences you listed. I will check out the others.
Thank you Paul. Seen your video in my feed so made a coffee and enjoyed, as always!
Great video. FYI the Photographers whose work I admire the most are Adrian from AWOS and Paul C Smith! Thanks for the continuing inspiration. Cheers!
Wow that's very kind Adrians work is incredible!
It's such a joy to come to this channel and get great tips and learn. Thank you Paul.
Paul you are so connected to the craft. Keep it up brother!
Thank you my man!
Literally making a video about this right now… you’re on the list.
Hi Eric, look forward to seeing it!
Paul I'm a long time fan. Glad to see Martin Henson on your list. I always settle in when Martin posts a new video and often watch them twice.
Yea Martin awesome, thanks for hanging in there and watching my content!
Love Martins work XX
Love your channel mate. You inspired me, simply because you demonstrated so eloquently that it’s the photographer and not the camera. You’re making incredible images with the M8. That really cemented in my mind that, funds permitting, I would really like to get a Leica and really get back to pure basics. And here I am, one month later, shooting an M9 and absolutely loving the challenge of shooting a rangefinder. I’m feeling inspired to go out and shoot again. Thank you.
Good on ya mate
and thank you for the effort you put in. As you mention with the others your enthusiasm is infectious and seeing the effort you put into your photos is a joy to watch.
Thanks Andrew
Thanks Paul for this. You’re an inspiration to so many. Photography for the love of it, a brilliant eye, and exceptional story telling. Thanks heaps.
Thank you Rolf take care!
We seem to watch the same photographers and own the same camera’s I have one of your images imprinted in my brain from the series done in a auto junk yard keep up the good work
Thank you Steven
Nice video
Great as always Paul. You’ll be on my list
Thanks Colin
Lovely job as per Paul. Just bought both your books after enjoying watching you for months along with many you've highlighted here too. I truly appreciate your work and you're quickly becoming an inspiration to my photography. Cheers ~ Peter
Hi Peter, thank you for that your comments and support return the favor!
Fuji_film_digital here, as you know you’ve been a true inspiration for me. You have peaked my want to go out and shoot.
So thanks to you 🙏🏻
Hey Bryan keep up the good work, thanks for the nice words!
Great to see you pointing the inspiration at hard working photographers doing all this for very little reward but the love of photography like yourself. 😍👍
Sorry Mali you should be on the list your another inspiration!
@@PaulCSmithPhotographer ooh that’s far too kind. I loved your choices, love these locations your shooting 👍
you're now one of my influences.

Who Are My Photographic Influences -UA-camrs?
1. Ted Forbes - "The Art of photography"
2. Adam Karnacz- "First Man Photography"
3. Trevor Jones- "Astrobackyard"
4. Paul C Smith - "Paul C Smith Photographer", currently my favorite photographic influence simply because we live in the same country and enjoy the same photographic things. Keep up the good work Paul, you always give me motivation to keep going, which helps no end when it comes to finding interest and inspiration for my photography blog/website. 👍🕵
From 7:00 to 7:10
I've followed and unfollowed most of those on your list. The trick is having the patience to sort thru what's merely content to find what's real content and recognising the difference. It will change as you find what works for you of course. I've been thru street and landscape and it wasn't quite the right fit until I found Dan Milnor.
Thank you I will check Dan out
Dan is one of those naturally gifted and incredibly knowledgeable people who can present their views with skill and humour love Dan.
