Dave seems to really respect Jade and lets her answer a lot of the questions while he listens or they do it jointly but it comes over as a really great partnership, I really like these two together.
This first guy seems like such a good guy. He likely takes care of most things in his household. Hope it turns around for him he sounds like he deserves a break.
Agreed! I hate candles. So expensive and doesn't last. I find them stinky and breathing in the air isn't good for you anyway. If I get them, I give one to someone who appreciates them like my mom. Don't throw them away!
The question came up tonight (Jade, I think) why guidance counselors in high schools push 4-year universities so much, rather than community college and trade schools. The reason is that one of the major metrics for being a "successful" high school is how many students are accepted at four-year universities and there is a lot of pressure on guidance and school administration to make those stats look good. Jade is quite right about the parent bragging rights - but I always told my students to pay the application fee to get into the "dream school" so they could brag, but then say (rightfully so), "I got into XXX, but decided it was a better use of my finances to start at a community college, state school, etc." The high school can also then count that as the student getting into a four-year college. I know some might consider that wasted money (which it is), but being able to say that for a teenager was well worth the application fee.
I am a missionary and have been one most of my life. I don't have much retirement, but I can live pretty comfortably on very little. People may think it's stupid or naive, but I also have faith in God's provision if something extraordinary happens. I've prepared to the extent I can and trust God for the rest.
Hey everyone! Since i started following The Ramsey show I've been a member of this amazing society of investors for a while now, and I can't articulate how much it has transformed my life. We're not just here to earn money; we're here to uphold one another, grow collectively, and rejoice in every stride toward our financial aspirations.
I completely relate to your experience. If you're referring to the expert Mrs. Bianca Faye Lindsey, then yes, working with her has also changed my life. It's surprising to see others here who have worked with her since her skills were mentioned on the show. Before, I made impulsive decisions, but with her guidance, I've learned patience and strategy. My investments are thriving, and I'm on my way to achieving my financial goals. Let's inspire others to take control of their finances! It's been a fantastic show.
@RamiAyla your words echo my sentiments exactly. Yes i am talking about expert Mrs Bianca Faye Lindsey She didn't just teach me about the market; she taught me about myself as an investor. I've found my niche, and my portfolio reflects that. Together, we're not just trading; we're building futures. Here's to more informed decisions and shared successes
Even though I'm not a subscriber to this channel, this isn't the first time I've heard about Mrs. Bianca. I've heard her dedication to her clients is remarkable, and she doesn't just analyze market trends but also listens to her clients' concerns. Unfortunately, I have no way to reach her or get her attention as she's mostly booked.
I'm incredibly grateful to have found this community and Mrs. Bianca. Just like you, her guidance has helped me navigate the complexities of the market. I used to fear losses, but now I see them as opportunities to learn and grow. I've not only seen significant financial gains but also a boost in my confidence as an investor. I'm excited to continue learning and evolving.
Her mentorship transformed my approach to investing. I used to chase quick wins, but now I focus on long-term strategies. The results speak for themselves - my portfolio is more stable, and I've achieved financial milestones I never thought possible. This show has truly been a blessing.
They should do a drawing.. "Dinner with Dave". I would love to spend an hour with this man. He reminds me so much of my passed Paw Paw in the wisdom he has and how blount he is.
A few ideas for the couple who want to be missionaries in 5-10 years (and also anticipate paying for the wife's retiring missionary parents who have no retirement.) That, BTW, is the real downside of lifetime missionary work. Missionaries can find people to support them while still working, but then they have almost nothing in retirement unless a rich family member leaves them an inheritance OR a church will let them live in a mission house owned by their church for free. This is especially true if they have been missionaries in a country with a very low cost of living. I was born and raised in a missionary family and my husband and I were also missionaries for 10 years, so I do have life experience in this area. Dave did handle the investing side well from the sale of the house and gave good advice on that. First of all - for starting the business abroad. He needs to find out if that will be possible in the country. Not every country lets a foreigner start a business there and there are strict visa laws against being gainfully employed in certain countries if that means taking a job from a local national. That's why most missionaries are supported by US donations. He did not mention which country - but that makes a huge difference. Cost of living is very low in some countries, but being a missionary to an expensive country like Japan is a totally different story. Now - what should they do now? First, they should absolutely start studying the language where they plan to go. They can do this at a local community college for well-known languages, or at a nearby university or online for more esoteric languages. They should view lots of documentaries and videos to immerse themselves in the history and culture as much a possible. They should volunteer with groups in their town that interact with foreigners - Red Cross, ESL language groups, etc. They should read up on biographies of missionaries and what their experiences have been like on the mission field and put themselves in situations where life might be uncomfortable, because it surely will be on the mission field in many ways. They should find out if the mission board they want to go with requires biblical education - most do, or at least to pass a test - and get started on that. Many Christian colleges give online courses and less expensive options through teaching ministries of some churches are also available. Evangelize here in the US. If you don't evangelize here, you won't in another country. Learn to live purposely with less and develop a life of service. Visit in local churches in your area so you will have contacts for sharing your ministry when you get ready to go. These are practical tips that can make a real difference, and also show you in the short-term if missions work is for you. There is more than a spiritual "call" to being a successful missionary.
How come families nowadays all need a house, with a movie room, a bedroom for each kid, a huge kitchen etc.. does that help us lead happier family lives? I would like to see a study on that. I know so many families who grew up in apartments, totally happy, in the sixties, seventies. What has changed.
I had to tell the family, friends, and coworkers that I could not afford to buy everyone presents for Christmas. I am a one income household and they all have spouses and kids. I hated to see Christmas coming because I was adding over a thousand dollars in credit card debt that didn't get paid off during the year before the next Christmas rolled around. I finally had enough, I didn't care what anyone thought, I was done. The only presents I buy now are for my parents birthdays.
It would be a benefit to folks to have a whole show on economizing during the holidays - not just for gifts, but travel, etc. They have a "millionaire hour" on how folks got to be millionaires, so every now and then another theme day is great (car buying, real estate buying, etc.) Yes, I do know that Rachel does this kind of thing on her show, but not everyone has the time to listen to all the different shows, and this is the place people tune in most often.
I have been doing the Every Dollar (free version) now since it started. I don't really need the other version as I'm older, no debt, kids raise, house paid off, etc. But the webinars that they do on this are absolutely excellent and I highly recommend them. The guy who was on there today w/ Jane had some great one-liners and he is very good at explaining all the intricacies of the premium version. Phrase I liked today was "Don't say one day, say this is day one!"
@@bettedavis9261 I kept one on Excel for years, but I've switched over to Every Dollar b/c it is so easy. I like listening to the webinars b/c I talk with a lot of young people about finances and I can recommend that to them.
Appliance and other household hacks: visit estate sales (different than yard sales). Washer, dryers, room heaters, most furniture, pantry items and toiletry items (unopened), towels and sheets (bleach at home), yard equipment, the list goes on. You can save thousands of dollars a year. We do!
I give gifts, that don't cost money. Some pomes, a self made heart, with a self written poem, a digital picture book. A nice dinner. This year I am planning a Photoalbum with pictures of my father and Mother, their Grandfather and Grandmother and I will bake a special bread for each family with the wife of my nephew.
Even tho it wasn't due to budget constraints , we went to the idea of giving to charities that the other person would have liked..animal charities, kids whatever. Everyone embraced the idea and it mad us all feel better abt the money spent. It allowed people to donate what they could afford and no one got scented candles. Also do food gifts.
Prior to retirement, I was the queen of regifting at work. 9 times out of 10, it was something i didn't want, need, like, or was allergic to. I had a couple of coworkers who gladly took those gifts off my hands. I prefer no gifts, because I'm extremely picky, and I don't want frivolous gifts. Luckily, my husband and I stopped exchanging gifts years ago.
I much prefer gifting throughout the year as I'm made aware of a need (or even a want.) My daughter and her family much prefer a gift card to a restaurant for a tired Mom with young kids as a surprise now and then over saving everything for Christmas!
@@Trustbutverify2651 I do the same thing with my oldest son (my youngest has Down syndrome and lives with us). I'll venmo him randomly throughout the year. Last year we bought him a new wheel for his car when it cracked from hitting a pothole (Mini Cooper wheels aren't cheap😉). Also, unbeknownst to him, I'm setting $1,000/month aside to add to his house down payment.

Many apartment complexes where I love have minimal deposits, like only $300. Not enough to use when you get it back. And you hardly get it back because of the complexes scam you and won't give it back and you can't fight it
The first caller with the triplets and the wife with a challenging health situation who is worrying about the grocery bill - there are SO MANY UA-cam videos now on saving money on groceries and cooking at home. Perhaps he doesn't know about digital coupons. And if you're low on money, you need to start with Walmart and Aldi. Some of the hosts on this show talk about Kroger, but Kroger in our area is quite expensive and I would never pay their prices. A lot of their non-food items, like plastic storage containers, you can get at the Dollar Tree for about 1/4 of their price!
@@alexisballard1459 Yes, I got that - but anyone with small children will often choose convenience over price. Most men, even today, do not really know how to minimize food costs and, in his case, it appears with the disability of his wife that he is likely the one going to the grocery store. My husband just goes to the store and gets whatever he wants and he would have NO idea about digital coupons or even think to look online for money-saving tips for the food part of the budget. That is why I added some tips for him.
Distinguishing between money management and wealth accumulation is crucial, and the absence of investment education within educational systems could be a factor contributing to individuals' difficulties in sustaining their financial growth. The instances you shared hold relevance, and I, personally, found value in the market crisis, as I am inclined to embrace challenging periods while some may shy away. Interestingly, my advisor shares a similar outlook, albeit in a lighthearted manner.
Investors ought to be vigilant about their exposure and approach new investments with caution, especially in times of inflation. Seeking advice from a seasoned professional or a trusted advisor is a prudent step to navigate through this recession and strive for potentially lucrative returns.
Agreed, financial advisors play a key role in portfolio allocation and i've been using one since late 2019 just before covid outbreak. So far, I'm barely 25% short of $1m ballpark goal after subsequent investments.
I'd recommend BECKY LOU GORDON. She is a genius when it comes to diversifying her holdings. You can verify her identity for yourself by looking her up online. She is well knowledgeable about the financial markets.
Time to batten down the hatches and tighten up the budget - stormy days ahead (no matter what political side you're on.) Everyone should be watching discretionary spending.
4:30 to 7:05 what is he claiming on taxes? I Don't recall this being mentioned during this part of the show. I question if he is receiving a big text refund each year. If that is the case, then there is wiggle room involving how he claims himself or his family to adjust that to the point where he gets a very tiny refund or worse case owes a very tiny amount to be able to maximize the use of each and every paycheck. Period this will make go a long ways and helping establish a better weekly or monthly budget.
She wants to saddle her husband with a 2 hour commute (and to live with his mother) so SHE can get a bigger house? Really? Is it all about her? And for a HOUSE? In addition to the relationships in the house, how would you feel if there were an emergency and your husband is TWO HOURS away?
I'm not saying she's lying, maybe she took college classes in high school so graduated college early, but I strongly suspect she's either still in school with the goal of being an architectural designer and/or is actually the assistant to one. If she is one and has actual experience doing it then good on her but I have doubts.
I'm totally okay with being a cookie friend. I also don't like obligated gift giving. No one at any time NEEDS to get me a gift. For a holiday or any other weird reason we've come up with that we "owe" each other presents. That said, Jade, I DO LOVE CANDLES. but I buy them myself :)
I lose brain cells when they talk about the differences between mutual funds index funds and ETFs. They are different vehicles that contain the same things
I agree with Jacob form Detroit. Index Funds are safer than active managed Mutual Funds especially for beginners. At the end of the day as long as you invest you will be wealthy.
This is his legacy stage of his business. He’s slowly transitioning out. The man wants to enjoy a few retirement years, as he should. I’m just so grateful that he has a plan and isn’t going to leave all of us schmucks hanging with no more Ramsey wisdom!
I would make the wife drive two hours so next time she thinks its cool - she will have a reminder that it isn't doable! Both options suck - you got that right Dave and Jade!
The last call was bad advice. Public service forgiveness is where you get loans forgiven for doing a public service for X years. Like public defenders, etc.
Stay off those web sites you can do it on your own . Even Dave is out to make money . Dave has great advice! But he is also selling so beware! You can do,it on your own!
I’m feeling they Dave telling people to not pay their credit card bills but has a heart attack when someone can’t pay their student loans is a bit hypocritical. Actually telling people not to pay their bills that they opened credit cards and bought god knows what to pleasure themselves. But puts people down that want to educate themselves and make a better life. I’m not understanding this reasoning of his.
Dave, you just lost your credibility when you put Jade on and she us hawking her wares to put people in more debt. The people who call are desperate and they think that they are helpless. Tell then NOT to buy her stuff and that they can do it on their own!
For the 23 and 29 year old debt free couple are we all just collectively ignoring the fact she was 18 when they married and he was closing in on 25? They probably started dating when she was 16 or so and he was 22-23. What's a college grad doing trolling the high school sophomore class for a date?

I've actually been looking into advisors lately, the news I've been seeing in the market hasn't been so encouraging. who's the person guiding you?
I'd recommend BECKY LOU GORDON. She is a genius when it comes to diversifying her holdings. You can verify her identity for yourself by looking her up online. She is well knowledgeable about the financial markets.
excellent share, just confirmed her page online after inputting her full name on my browser, she seems valid. very much appreciate it.
Time to batten down the hatches and tighten up the budget - stormy days ahead (no matter what political side you're on.) Everyone should be watching discretionary spending.
Candles never being lit is a sin! I will use a candle for the scent alone😂😂
Secret Santa Is a great idea. We do it every year and saves lots of money.
3 years ago, we all decided to do Secret santa 🎅
Sinking... Bismarck. How eerie
She wants to saddle her husband with a 2 hour commute (and to live with his mother) so SHE can get a bigger house? Really? Is it all about her? And for a HOUSE? In addition to the relationships in the house, how would you feel if there were an emergency and your husband is TWO HOURS away?
Yeah, it is a bad idea
College became common/desireable/open to 'everyone' during the Vietnam War when people were chasing draft deferments.
Gotta love when Dave cuts people off from talking 😂🙄
An architectural designer at 20. Sure. 😂👍🏻
One thing about Dave, he’s going to tell you to WORK!
1:53:37- The baby wrangler running into action.
Big fan Dave but grocery in Massachusetts it’s way off 700
dave is so subdued this episode.
Maybe I should know this already…What does it mean to cash flow something? In context, caller 2
It basically just means paying out of pocket direct from your income as opposed to taking on debt or using your emergency fund.
Simply put. Don't do business w banks. Cash is king!
Jade, you’re a Hoosier? Ball State? Nice!
19:10 Dave... Should have donated the candles to charity for them to on-sell for fundraising...
Dave , blackrock and hsbc bank are accepting XRP tokens as a form of payments.
Get rid of overdraft. But how
Hi i would like to see and hear DAVE speak on his show. Maybe warshaw can get here own airtime.
Dave did almost all the talking on today's show - not sure why you said this??
This is his legacy stage of his business. He’s slowly transitioning out. The man wants to enjoy a few retirement years, as he should. I’m just so grateful that he has a plan and isn’t going to leave all of us schmucks hanging with no more Ramsey wisdom!
16:19 Aka "Secret Santa".
Sydney Australia
Doesn't necessarily have to be a secret though.
I would make the wife drive two hours so next time she thinks its cool - she will have a reminder that it isn't doable! Both options suck - you got that right Dave and Jade!
I want a candle!
There are times that I feel Dave doesn’t need a co-host.😂🤷🏻♀️
Omg you thew out the candles😢
The last call was bad advice. Public service forgiveness is where you get loans forgiven for doing a public service for X years. Like public defenders, etc.
Most that qualify don't receive it.
It's no wonder Dave didn't want student loans forgiven if he's pushing Yrefy product
Yrefy is only for private loans not federal. So even if the government did forgive loans.. it wouldn’t matter for the private loans.
Why isn't the first caller getting social security disability¿ ie for the wife..
I'm surprised how little money the electrical engineer made at his regular job
Jade's my favorite!
I got 5 kids and food is absurd.......living in California doesn't help either.
Student forgiveness...."It's a LIE"....lol, but true.
You must hey rid of credit cards
I like the Autumn wreath candle and lilac candle…if anyone wants to give me a gift…😮
M29 and I would take some cookies or fudge
For Christmas everyone gets $100 bucks from me … all 5 people! (The most important to me).
That’s all and I’m done ✅ 😅
❤
Get rid of the car and the kids
Kaelyn certainly loves to talk jeezus take a breath
Stay off those web sites you can do it on your own .
Even Dave is out to make money .
Dave has great advice!
But he is also selling so beware!
You can do,it on your own!
I’m feeling they Dave telling people to not pay their credit card bills but has a heart attack when someone can’t pay their student loans is a bit hypocritical. Actually telling people not to pay their bills that they opened credit cards and bought god knows what to pleasure themselves. But puts people down that want to educate themselves and make a better life. I’m not understanding this reasoning of his.
When Dave itemized the list of priorities, student debt was last, but the caller didn’t have student debt, so cc debt was the next item.
@@Cravz69 he does that with all callers though.
@@p.sherman3158
In this case, the caller said that he was barely making his grocery bill, so Dave helped him prioritize with the four walls.
American taxpayers' money is going to half of the world, but Americans are struggling to make living. Bring back trump
No kidding I agree! It’s awful.
Ha ha ha sure we need a liar back!
Dave, you just lost your credibility when you put Jade on and she us hawking her wares to put people in more debt. The people who call are desperate and they think that they are helpless. Tell then NOT to buy her stuff and that they can do it on their own!
😢😢😢Go away Jade!
Today Trump is just a geriatric dementia patient just like the current president. Both 2020 candidates need to be in a retirement home.
Dave Ramsey and RuPaul probably wouldn't agree on much, but they do have one thing in common: calling grown men 'honey.'
For the 23 and 29 year old debt free couple are we all just collectively ignoring the fact she was 18 when they married and he was closing in on 25? They probably started dating when she was 16 or so and he was 22-23. What's a college grad doing trolling the high school sophomore class for a date?
Favorite Dolly quote is "I don't think her family probably knew she was a hoe." referring to the woman she modeled her look after.
Is the Ramsey team going to address the war in Israel? It’s not political just to address the heartbreaking loss of lives in Israel.
Are you under the impression this is a new conflict?
If one is not going to be political, one would also have to acknowledge the Palestinian casualties that have occurred over the decades.
Until this year Israeli casualties have only been a fraction of Palestinian casualties.
It's also not relevant.
It’s sad that a person would think that acknowledging both sides of an atrocity is irrelevant.
🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃
Stop with the sweets on holidays! Ladies im talking to you. You're killing folks!!!
What about a tub of mashed potatoes then? 😂
I know compsci majors who are awful programmers
after year will going trump back 2024 Ramsey that is job trump for rich back not mine he got good helping people and going need vote it agreed hope see you there Ramsey
English mfer do you speak it?
Jade is so annoying, lady, let the people finish their questions/thoughts, ughh
“We have a better quality of life then you do”. Because he lives in Tennessee? With some of the worst medical care, education, poverty ? Putting people down because they live in Los Angeles where there are the best colleges, highest paid and the best weather. And no hillbilly accent to boot. He is very insulting today. Not very Christian like Dave.
Dave is not doing this for fun …He is selling and making money so…take his advice re budget but do not pay for any web help.
have beenwatching for a year...didn't realize I hadn'tSubsc..done now Love It and use the info..Great Job 80 plus !l I recommend tomy Children also and grands. I don't loan money...
Wow, five kids I wonder why your freaking struggling in a major bed sleep in it
3 kids, 5 people total
Yesterday someone had EIGHT and was wondering why he wasn't making it financially! Anyone know how much teenage boys eat??! I had four brothers close in age. I know. They were like locusts arriving after school!
