Hi, I'm a 15 year old gk. I have seen most pro gk's do that. I think it's to remain active,keep on toes and be light for fast reflex but all the goalkeeper coaches I have met, including the top ones in India have advised me not to do it much as if you do the little jump and you're in air once. the shot comes and you may not have time react until you land to the ground again. This is my opinion, i do not know if this is fully true.
@@priyanarora9009 the mls coaches I’ve trained with say you should do it because it’s getting your body into the set position. It’s not like you’re doing a big jump
