Inspired by this stream, I've quit my tech job and opened a tavern in an enormous rustic building in a glade in a bear-infested forest. As soon as a jukebox-and-chicken merchant opens a kiosk next door, I'll be raking it in.
Clearly this is just the same tavern of the corn obsessed denizens of Little Avery where the Oxventurers first met Rust, but switched to the NPC perspective. They're all a little fragment of Johnny now.
My favourite tavern manager is still Travellers Rest. they have local co-op now but they're already working on online multiplayer. Even solo, it just sucks me right in and then i realize it's been 5 hours and i've just been whacking bad customers with a mop and decorating the place lmao
As someone from corn country, I refuse to take the boiled corn slander! When harvest season comes around we eat corn for most dinners, it’s so crunchy and sweet!
37:10 Oooh, so THAT's the story behind that $7000 bourbon photo! I had assumed a very generous fan of the show had hosted you for a shot, but an anxious attendant carefully asking for the bottle back is even funnier.
That fancy bourbon reminds me of this beer I read about years ago, was like 80 proof beer, each bottle inside a squirrel carcass, like you drank out of the squirrels mouth, they only made like 50 bottles so it was something around 700$ per bottle, the brewers just did it for fun
I'm in south carolina and over 1 million ppl are without power. It's like the apocalypse out here. I'm currently waiting over an hour to get gas to run a generator that I massively over paid for..... it's wild
Running a normal business, everything going fine, and then blacking out, coming round and seeing patrons running screaming from a zombie attack, is legit nightmare fuel.
There were 3 Oxventure in Space (Lasers & Feelings) videos that are on the Popverse channel although only 2 (1st & 2nd) are linked/playlisted onto the Oxventure channel. Also doubt that Dread or Big Deck Energy would go onto the podcast due to visual/mechanical aspect of the Jenga tower & the Magic the Gathering cards in the D&D/MTG crossover. Do you think that the Dragonlance D&D one shot would ever go onto the Oxventure Podcast? 🎲🎙️
@@mar_speedman On the one-shot wonders section/playlist on their Oxventure channel there is a sponsored (could be a reason why it hasn't gone onto the podcast) D&D Dragonlance: Shadow of the Dragon Queen one shot from a year or so ago with Johnny DMing and Luke & Ellen playing alongside guest players Rage Darling, Draq, Josh Strife Hayes & The Nerdy Nifler
Jane was clearly not hoarding the mugs, her name is Jane Mugless, not Jane Mugfull! Also, does Mike mean his controls are the right way round when drunk (seeing as he plays inverted anyway, it's just the game trying to fix him)
Just starting and i’m assuming that is Andy’s character but the one on the left looks so much like male Hawke from DA2. I do not trust Hawke to run a tavern.
Mike, as someone who grew up in a pub and worked in pubs and hotels from 14 until 25, please for fuck's sake make sure you have some experience managing a pub and a cellar before you undertake your retirement plan. My mum ran a really successful pub when i was a kid and i literally only saw her when i went down into the pub. It's insane hard work and you never get a break. But, if you do have a bash and like it, you absolutely have to call it The Ox.
I know that you’re never satisfied with how other people are playing a game vs. how you would play it, but what is Mike doing half the time?! 😅. I watch him stare at something that needs done but he just seemingly ignores it and turns around and walks around the tavern, aimlessly, instead. Good thing Andy and Jane are there to keep the place from running into the ground lol.
i mean no offense to mike when i say this, but i think it would be benificial to let andy have the stream camera when you play multiplayer games, as it seems hes most likely to quickly understand the game, and often finds himself the first to find interesting things
The fans have been asking for this for years, but for some reason they just refuse 😅. During the recent squirrel stream Mike didn’t know how to get out of the car. The prompt to “exit vehicle” was displayed on screen the entire time 😂. It’s so frustrating
No Andy's gameplay is boring as hell, we are here for the game going full Mike. Also don't act like EVERY person who streams doesn't miss the simple things we as viewers see on screen.
You're me every time that prompt in the upper right corner changed and it would take them soooo long to figure it out, like with the chickens@@responsibleaccount3918 *VISIT THE G-DANG COW, YOU GUYS!!!!* 🤣🤣
Fishing irl is easy, and you get to eat what you catch! You don’t need to be very successful-just one fish successful! The rub is it does take time and you need to wake up early.
Oh god, the way Mike was running around and waggling the camera at the beginning, like a very small child who has just consumed a very large bag of candy, was starting to make me queasy! So a big thank you to chat for asking him to tone it down! I may actually be able to finish watching this now!
19:50 Jane: Mike close the tavern... Mike: right... 24:43 Jane: Are people still arriving, I thought we closed... Mike: We haven't closed, No ones turned the sign... How do you guys get anything done? Mike has a REALLY annoying habit of confirming things when he's not even listening! (Im gonna keep mentioning it till Mike stops doing it!)
It's an ADHD trait. He also whips around the camera a lot, doesn't read things on screen, and jumps between tasks. You can't make him stop doing it, because it's not a choice. It's just the symptoms of a frantic mind
Does he stop doing that after the intro? We had to turn off as we were getting motion sickness. It's been good if there's a stream of the game play without all the movement
I love that it's like ten minutes after Jane told Mike to close up that they realized they were still open
It's the longest 10 minutes i swear
At that part now waiting for them to realize
I feel like 'The Boxing Ox' would have been a good name, sounds both legitimately pub-ish and also a funny nod to the channel as well :3
Or simply The Ox Box
I will be stealing that for my D&D campaign, thanks.
Inspired by this stream, I've quit my tech job and opened a tavern in an enormous rustic building in a glade in a bear-infested forest. As soon as a jukebox-and-chicken merchant opens a kiosk next door, I'll be raking it in.
1:23:15 "let's try to make those cupcakes"
1:23:20 they did not, in fact, make those cupcakes
"The stream seems to be going well, we could try-" *literal smash cut to title screen*
never insult tgi fridays, they'll know.
I've seen you do lots of weird stuff, yet I never foresaw the day you became medieval cornstars
Stream starts off at 0:57! Thank you for the chill stream, even though it fell over in the end!
LADS!
Thanks my dude
Clearly this is just the same tavern of the corn obsessed denizens of Little Avery where the Oxventurers first met Rust, but switched to the NPC perspective. They're all a little fragment of Johnny now.
40:05 if you had told me, before this stream, "Andy knows what chicken-fried steak is and Jane doesn't" I would have 100% believed you.
Jane Mugless 23:03
An underrated comment!
The boiled corn hate is sending me, corn on the cob is amazing.
They're barely liquid enough to make more barley liquid.
My favourite tavern manager is still Travellers Rest. they have local co-op now but they're already working on online multiplayer. Even solo, it just sucks me right in and then i realize it's been 5 hours and i've just been whacking bad customers with a mop and decorating the place lmao
I love Mike's playstyle, he is truly the chaotic good force we need in the world.
Are you talking about Mike "Throws grenade at the start of a stealth mission" Channel?... Because if so, I agree
@@mar_speedman you mean mike "throws an explosive duck into a crowded room and somehow only kills the target" channel?
The jump cut at 1:20:42 really makes me wonder...what were you about to say about TGI Fridays???
The internet *really* didn't want Mike to make that joke
As someone from corn country, I refuse to take the boiled corn slander! When harvest season comes around we eat corn for most dinners, it’s so crunchy and sweet!
This reminded me of Luke running his coffee shop where it just descended into batting people, and yelling "I'll settle his hash!"
Finally, I can realise my dream of running The Amputee's Arms
This was so fun. More of this please!
I personally love the chaos that Mike brings to this 😂
37:10 Oooh, so THAT's the story behind that $7000 bourbon photo! I had assumed a very generous fan of the show had hosted you for a shot, but an anxious attendant carefully asking for the bottle back is even funnier.
What's a cow going to do with money? Maybe mooove house! 😂
I'm honestly 80% sure it's a Fey messing with them
"Raw Boar Pork...the future of law enforcement." Andy continues to be hilarious. Fantastic stream!
This game would have made a killing during lockdown.
Game was so "cozy", Mike's internet fell asleep on itself.
I'm glad to have a livestream from you guys at any time!
This was so much fun! I would absolutely love to see you guys play more of this! I haven't laughed so hard in a while!
Perfect comedic timing on some of those crashes at the end 😂
Thanks for the Awesome & Alesome stream! It was fun being a bar fly in your amazing tavern. Stay safe & sane! 🙂
That fancy bourbon reminds me of this beer I read about years ago, was like 80 proof beer, each bottle inside a squirrel carcass, like you drank out of the squirrels mouth, they only made like 50 bottles so it was something around 700$ per bottle, the brewers just did it for fun
Level 12 unlocks the unsanitary bowl of salted peanuts.
You must name your pub "The Snake's Arms"
Thanks for the wonderful, calming stream! Can't wait for cupcakes and Hallowstream!
Boiled Corn stocks are up 1000%! Sell, sell, sell!
Corn stalks?
This was so cozy for me to listen to even as you 3 became slightly stressed.
8 minutes for the first "Oh, Mike..." you hate to see them grow up
This is exactly the vod I needed after moving into my new place today.
"A wizard did it." - Jane Douglas I need this on a t-shirt asap
Ale & Tale is better. More fun with quests and coop. lol, Mike forgetting to take the dirty plates and mugs and forgetting to put the clean ones back😂
The tavern definitely should have been called the Brew and Brooming
I'm sorry TGI Friday hacked the stream, would love to see more of Ale and Tale, from a secure location of course 😉
In mike's defense (and trust me, those words scare me) CornHub is an actual elote food stall where I live 😂
You can always tell when Mike is hosting the stream because it requires taking motion sickness meds, haha
Mike rolled a 1 on internet! Praise Cadence! Would definitely watch more of this- thanks ox crew!
I am fond of "the stickit inn" for a tavern name
I don't want to question Mike's retirement plans, but this stream has not given me confidence in his tavernal capabilities.
*buys washing machine*
*Puts it in a corner and forgets about it, goes to wash mug in the sink*
I'm in south carolina and over 1 million ppl are without power. It's like the apocalypse out here. I'm currently waiting over an hour to get gas to run a generator that I massively over paid for..... it's wild
Need more of this please
My retirement plan is to become the resident old soak in Mike's pub.
Great cozy stream! The internet issues at the end had such comical timing, it was surprisingly entertaining too 😂😂
Would love to see more of this! It really scratches an assembly line itch for me lol
Whoever suggested "lute box" you are a legend
Chaotic... and ineffective, but entertaining. do play more of this.

@@DJHoward82 Must've missed it
@@mar_speedman If I remember correctly they played through an early on section of Dragonlance Shadow of the Dragon Queen
This was such a pleasant stream! Would love to see you play this game again.
Mike spending all the money has real 'Greml-Ian using all the photos' energy.
Just as a suggestion, call the tavern Barley Any Porridge.
Third time I've watched this. Please do Part 2: Our money's Mike's money
The amount of times that Andy and Jane are working so hard to do the orders and Mike is just standing there doing nothing is crazy
i thought it said kill 3 beers until 09:47
Cmon guys. It's Patrick Swayze! from roadhouse.
Jane was clearly not hoarding the mugs, her name is Jane Mugless, not Jane Mugfull! Also, does Mike mean his controls are the right way round when drunk (seeing as he plays inverted anyway, it's just the game trying to fix him)
It's time for work, boys!
Beers-A-lot is my go to name if i ever buy a bar
This was such a fun livestream 🍻🙂👍👏👏👏
Tried to watch this live earlier but it got stuck in a freeze loop. So, guess I'll catch it as a VOD.
My biggest take-away from this is 'there's a *difference* between ale and beer?!' 😅
Curse of the cupcakes!!🧁
I must insist the tavern be named "The To Arms (Four Legs.)"
I'm scared of TGIFridays
Should have named it after the prospective pub from Peep Show...
This tavern should have been called The Strong Orcish Arms
I’m seriously going to start talking to angel investors about Andy’s goth academic bakery/coffee house, I’d literally spend all day every day there
1:20:48 is like the missing reel bit from Planet Terror
Is it me or did Thrudd The Barbarian pay a visit at around the 6 min mark
Im going to start accusingly asking people why they can't be more like micheal silvermoon
Just starting and i’m assuming that is Andy’s character but the one on the left looks so much like male Hawke from DA2. I do not trust Hawke to run a tavern.
How about "The Talking Cow" for the name?

Any chance of phasmophobia for the late October event and console release?
Ah, technology. Ain't it grand?
42:25 join me in the accusitorium!
I have one question for this game. Can I make Legends and Lattes?
As a professional baker, Andy I volunteer. The bakery could be called Gothupcake Cafe. Or Goth'N Cake. Coffin Cakery?
This looks like a fun game, dialogue looks boring I'll be honest, but everything else looks great
Yeah, I could do without the dialogue as well. "I think I'm funnier than I am" energy mixed up with "I like to talk way too much"
@@mar_speedman made borderlands 3 dialogue look good 🤣
10:18
😀😄😂😆🤣😭
Mike's inventory was driving me mad for 90% of the stream! I feel he does a fantastic representation of how teenage boys play this kind of game 😜
Omg right!!? Just put away the meat haha
W. T actual. F was that cow?

Press "T" so that you can see where the other players are at. Keep your menu versatile so that the XP does not go down on what is being served.
