I think she made a very big mistake labeling people as "deplorables". in the future I will hold off using that word so that I don't align myself with her doing so. I no longer consider the US flag representing pride in our country rather it is a warning that the person flying (wearing) the flag is dangerous.
Sadly, I'm with you on this. Around a year ago my nephew gave me a key to let his dog out when he wasn't able to. The key was an American flag design. I keep it on my window sill. I can't bring myself to put it on my key ring for fear that someone will think I'm one of those MAGA trump "patriots".
