about what he says at 20 mins , whenever I go camping , I always pull up on the outer part of the bush I'm entering (somewhere along the track between the main road and where I camp ) and say a quick ' prayer' to the old people before I go in . Let them know I come with love & respect for their home .
That's good brother. You don't know what country you are walking on. As long as you come with respect take photos leave footprints you will be fine. If you are ever some where in the bush and you get that no good feeling, listen to it and leave respectfully.
As much uninhibited land that Australia has, there's no telling what is hiding there. I think there's enough thylacines sightings to believe they will be rediscovered in the not too far future.
I know Australia is a liberal/anti-gun/anti-armed citizen country, but going out in the sticks looking for a possibly large, powerful and possibly a carnivorous creature is just plain stupid. Besides, there are crocs and large aggressive roos, which DO exist. It's like DF Americans (also unarmed) who go hiking in the woods where bears & cougars roam.

IIRC, this "great disarmament" was after the Port Arthur shooting incident, when Prime Minister John Howard (1996) was pushing his "Gun Reform" agenda. He said something like "Self defense is not a legitimate reason to own a firearm." What a sorry POS/crap liberal he was.
Yet apparently the majority of Australians wanted a liberal gov't. Even since then they do. IIRC, New Zealand is just as liberal/anti-gun/anti-armed citizen. And of course, the UK/Canada is also.

I do believe in our Yowie, As a young soldier, a group of 3 of us had an encounter over a few days, my story is out in the Yowie community, and other soldiers have seen them in military training areas, they watch and learn about us, they will show themselves to us as trust and to scare the shit out of us cheers all. While I do believe these creatures exist, much like the American Sasquatch they will only appear to certain people. Some of the things these beings do, border on the supernatural(eg. the ability to project fear into people, glowing red eyes, moving at un-natural speed through thick brush, the appearance of light orbs etc) Which is why there is very little photographic evidence of their existence. They’re always out of focus or they are seen from a distance. That is deliberate. From what I read about Bigfoot they seem to know how to avoid trail-cams and surveillance cameras. That is how they want to be seen. The only way you’ll find them is if they find you first. Here in Western Australia where I worked in the Pilbara one of the local elders warned me about the Dogman that roamed the hills next to the mine I worked at. While I never to took his words seriously I have to admit it was creepy working in some of those places on night shift. The local aboriginals spoke of little hairy men that inhabited certain areas. There was an incident in 1989 when one of our truck drivers came across one of them that night. It absolutely spooked her so much she called a mayday. No one believed her and she ended up quitting her job.

I don’t believe this stuff but several times in my life being out in the state forest, I have heard the strange wood knocking they talk about. It’s a loud thump of timber that echoes through the forest. That has always left me wondering.

These beings are not animal they have a paranormal side to them which enables them to go into another dimension , we have them here in Western Australia also and on the outskirts of Perth as well as all over desert country. As a hunter ive had some experiences with these creatures and i know what animals are around in certain areas by tracks ,dung, food sources and watering points as well as bedding places but these creatures are impossible to find unless by accident but they if they want will find you. The Aboriginal people know them and say they are spiritual beings and that explains why you cant obtain evidence like a body. I know thats a hard thing to swallow for some people who do not believe in the supernatural but its a good reason why they cant be hunted or caught.

I’ve had interactions with them in the Perth hills a few times. They move bloody fast with almost no sound. They don’t seem to have footsteps but they do make sound when they move through vegetation. They’re exceptionally strong and I assume they have good night vision as they’ve found me when I was stalking rabbits with a bow, being as quiet as I could and then I’ve had rocks chucked at me and been stalked till I left
I don’t think they’re paranormal, just the apex creature of the bush that’s smart enough to think, not just act on instinct

There's an account from an elderly lady who lives on the outskirts of Perth on YowieHunters.
This lady would constantly see a large hairy man go past her window. One day, she thought about it and realised that this hairy man going past her window was incredibly tall. She could only see the torso so this hairy person was at least 8 foot tall.
Long story short.
This was no man. It was something like the Americans talk about. Her granddaughter used the internet to help her grandmother out.
This elderly woman pointed to a picture of the North American Susquatch.
The elderly lady then carefully watched it walk away. It appeared to get lost in the trees. One day she had prepared for the Yowie's visit and specifically, where it went after leaving her property.
The lady carefully followed it wearing soft sneakers and she went out of her way to not make a noise. This elderly lady then received the surprise of her life. There were trees on her property but they were quite sparse.
After very carefully following the Yowie . . . it disappeared into this air !
This lady couldn't believe her eyes. She has recently been through stringent psychiatric tests in order to complete her Will in the required legal manner,
She admitted she was very religious and her beliefs stopped there. She was definitely not into UFO's, New age Spiritualism and/or the Supernatural etc.
She was stunned and the Yowie's instant disappearance bothered her for weeks.
Her granddaughter returned and did some online research. It turns out the North American tribe, the Navajos had similar experiences with Bigfoot.
A brilliant group of Navajo trackers and one Ranger said he was on the trail of a Bigfoot in sandy dirt where it was easy to track.
Then . .,. the footsteps just stop . . . in the middle of nowhere.
The Navajos were perplexed as no known animal tracks just stopped.
This Perth lady became a Yowie believer.

You know it's really irritating when these presentations are made talking about indigenous people and their beliefs yet the indigenous people aren't in the video speaking themselves. If it's against their beliefs to speak of the Yowie like it is up here in Turtle Island like it is among many tribal cultures, then say so, but it's really weird to be speaking about what indigenous people do, say and believe without actually having them say it themselves, and them tell about it themselves. I'd actually like to hear them tell their stories from their own mouths, not someone who isn't a part of their culture. Many will not understand what I'm saying but many will. I don't want to hear a story about what the Irish believe from a Han Chinese or a Kazakh person, it makes no sense. Even if they grew up in Ireland, they don't have the same ancestral connection to the story that an indigenous Irish person would. It's the same with an indigenous Aboriginal Australian person. Let them tell the story and the history behind the Yowie I have yet to hear their actual beliefs.
