For anyone who missed it, following the word, "action," @10:12 he explains that the rest is a "what if" scenario. This might be the most messed up clickbait on bigfoot I've ever seen. And that's saying something.
This is a prop from a scene from a movie. Can’t remember the movie off hand but it was about a professor who took a few students on a camping trip to search for BigFoot. The professor finds the. Skull partially buried in the stream.
I like Coyote, but the stings aren't as bad as he makes out. I've been stung by a Bullet Ant and it's painful, but not to the extent Coyote portrays. You should also check 'Jack's World of Wildlife'. Jack gets stung by all the same insects as Coyote and you can see then the show Coyote puts in for the camera
I LOVE this channel as well as my two young boys. However, this clickbait situation I pray is a one time occurrence and not becoming a trend. Coyote is the last of a few genuine UA-camrs that are praised for being a solid educator and what you see is what you get kind of thing. I do not want that to go away, not even a little bit. This is so beneath you, Coyote…
He posted on Instagram days ago saying this was something he really found and smuggled into the us from bc. That he would post a video this weekend to show the footage. Then ten minutes in you find out this was all for clickbait and only a “hypothetical” situation. That’s why people are mad. Saw the post about "smuggling through customs and TSA", which means it had to go through a scanner if TSA was involved. Hard to believe TSA wouldn't have picked up the skull going through a scanner. Going to be tough to come out of this one clean, even if it is a prank.
Why would they care though? I don’t understand why they mention it. Also back when I was younger 5 years ago and was a drug addict, I snuck all sorts of schedule I on flights. I once had a knife I left in an old duffel bag for years (completely forgot about it) and it went undetected on a domestic flight. TSA sucks
Yeah you would think TSA actually does much, but they don't. That is why it is known as security theatre. There has actually been security people who had permission try to sneak items through TSA, multiple times they snuck through guns, with no problem. It's actually kind of frightening how incompetent they are.
@Unintentional Failure I once went right through security in Thailand with a Thai enep in my carry on backpack. Think of a large curved knife like a kukri, 12 inches long. I actually realized I had it on me and panicked and went back and gave it to security because I didn't want problems down the road changing planes etc. Didn't get into any trouble since I turned it in and was honest. Wish I would have packed it properly though, it was a cool knife.
This channel used to be about entertaining education. Coyote even made it a point to discuss how much he cared about preservation and education about wildlife. Then we get stuff like this. This used to be one of my favorite channels on UA-cam, it's sad to see. Deception ruins credibility regardless of the severity of that deception.
This is why UA-cam should go back to the old 5 red star rating system. If it's a bad video, then most people would give it a low rating ( one star ) and therefore it would help to stop clickbait videos like this one from becoming popular.

Just wanted to mention that you can like a UA-cam channel/creator and still criticize them when they do something wrong/sketchy that they shouldn’t be doing. A lot of channels become more corporate as they grow bigger and start to do stuff like this for more views and money. If you love the channel, then you should want to keep them honest, so call them out when you see something wrong like this. Don’t just brush it off snd say “it’s no biggie” because then they’ll just keep doing more and more stuff until the channel turns into something like Buzzfeed or Vice news essentially turned into. Lots of channels start our awesome, but if their audience doesn’t call out bad things when they see them, they just get greedy over time and go downhill. If you actually like the channel, don’t just defend everything they do, call out bad behavior and actually try and understand why it’s bad if you don’t get it instead of stubbornly continuing to defend them.

Lots of people don’t watch the whole video and skip here and there and UA-cam creators know this; heck the MAJORITY of viewers don’t finish the video from beginning to end. This is why it’s incredibly important to put these disclaimers at the beginning of the video in a very clear manner; these guys have been creating yt videos for a long time and know this but CHOSE not to do that to get more views and keep people watching the video. This is clickbait and it’s clear as day, which is why so many people are annoyed by it. You’re not supposed to present hypothetical situations like this on an educational channel, whether it be Discovery or brave wilderness. I agree with you 100%. I love to close my eyes while I'm sitting in a meditation position and just listen to the forest as it puts me in a state of peace/serenity.
Long story made short: Decades ago I found myself alone deep in the wilderness with an injured leg. I made a camp in a dry space under a large rock outcropping in an arm of a densely forested valley. It was October and the air was cool; a light rain began to fall as day turned to night... "just great" I remember thinking, grimly. I quickly had a small fire crackling within a circle of stones under the rock shelter. I was barely mobile but I decided to gather as much wood as I could before it got too wet. To my dismay my small flashlight didn't work but I could see there was quite a bit of dead wood within the sickly, yellow light cast by the fire. I hobbled out into the rain and began groping about for as much wood as I could find. I was a dozen feet away from the shelter with my arms full of damp branches when the creature announced its presence. My mind scrambled trying to picture what was making the sound... at first I imagined a huge, crazy man. But the sound turned to a roar that was so intense it reverberated within my chest; and it seemingly went on and on until to my horror it morphed into a woman screaming. It was so loud my ears were ringing afterwards. The great beast, finally out of air, ended its warning with a squeak as it inhaled sharply. I figured it must have been standing on top of the rock that I'd chosen for shelter... perhaps twenty feet away but totally obscured by the inky, blackness beneath the forest canopy; the stars hidden by the storm clouds. I stood still as stone for a few long moments, my ears straining to hear movement on the rain-soaked forest floor. But the night was unnaturally quiet except for the patter of rain on leaves and a mountain rivulet that chortled over stones on its way down to meet a larger stream in the distance. I badly wanted my Smith & Wesson .45 which I'd tucked away in my pack after I set up camp. After the initial shock lifted I was filled with a surreal sense of peace when I realized I was literally stuck and couldn't do anything to remedy my situation; I'd describe it as resigned acceptance, like a skydiver who had a failure of both main and reserve chutes. At that very moment I was alone, unarmed, injured, and facing a large predator which was clearly unhappy with my presence. After a long minute I slowly edged the short distance to the shelter and dropped the sticks next to the fire and immediately retrieved my sidearm; I took a defensive position with my back against the stone wall under the shelter, the small fire before me. But the night passed uneventfully as I tried to doze by my small fire... In the many years that have followed I've researched EVERY sound made by predators in North America... and to this date I've never heard anything even close to what I heard that night. I kept that incident to myself for many years... but I'd really like to identify that creature...
@@113charlie7 Thanks for your interest but there's not much more to the account. I was an avid outdoorsman in my younger days and often hiked into remote areas; I studied topographical maps and often followed watersheds and game trails well away from areas visited by people, which was the case when I had the encounter with the unidentified creature. The day in question I had planned on hiking several hours to a specific location and returning well before nightfall; however, after I arrived at my destination I slipped among some large stones in the watershed of the heavily forested valley and hyper-extended my right knee. The pain was intense and my leg started swelling almost immediately; I knew within minutes that I wouldn't be able to walk out that day. I wasn't overly concerned due to the fact I always hiked with a well-stocked day pack and was experienced with woodcraft. It was a beautiful fall morning when I'd started but storm clouds were gathering by that time; rain was forecast for very late in the day. The watershed was wide and strewn with worn stones of every size and the water flow changed with the season; at that time the water was at its lowest point, easily crossed. However, it was clear from the debris left from high water that camping near this watershed could have deadly consequences. I didn't have a tent so I hobbled away searching for a place to stay dry for the night. As a kid I'd often dug under rock shelters looking for native American artifact and I knew specifically what I was searching for. The valley grew increasingly dark as the clouds grew thick overhead and the sun drifted farther west casting the whole valley in shadow. The first couple of places I considered too dangerous due to potential flooding so I painstakingly continued forward. The diminishing light fueled my great concern that I may get stuck without adequate shelter for the night; the potential for hypothermia was at the back of my mind which could quickly change a bad situation into life-threatening. I came across a spur or arm of the main valley which had a crystal clear rivulet flowing from it. I took a chance and followed it. I was relieved when I came across the perfect site, or so I thought, to weather the storm. After I'd set up camp I was greatly relieved and I'd resolved to enjoy the experience despite my injury. I'd planned on getting settled and resting my injury overnight, and to reevaluate in the morning. But little did I know that I'd stumbled into the domain of a large predator, and it was clearly upset with my presence there. I judiciously used the firewood I'd gathered and my little camp fire lasted the whole night; and I still get uneasy thinking about groping around for firewood in the sickly, yellow light of my camp fire while that beast watched me. By midmorning the next day the swelling in my leg had improved considerably and the pain had also diminished; And I carefully and cautiously began the long trek back to civilization with my sidearm in its holster but readily accessible within a moments notice. It was a full decade before I'd mentioned this incident to anyone, and they were a close family member. But I'd really like to figure out what type of creature I encountered that day. I'd researched all the known vocalizations of the predators in North America to no avail; next I considered an escaped exotic from Africa but I haven't found anything even close from that continent either. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hi
Hi
Did u not listen when he said “what if scenario” goofy

@@pvt_shane let me copy over the same reply I gave to someone else for this (ignore the “you’re not to blame” part, that was bc he was blaming himself for not seeing that part. You’re not included in that at all, kid.):
You aren’t to blame, these disclaimers are supposed to be placed at the BEGINNING of a video, for more than a few seconds, and made VERY clear (as well as put in the description). He said one sentence 10 minutes in a 15 minute video that said this was a hypothetical situation. There is no indication in the thumbnail or title that this is hypothetical either.
It was clearly made this way to garner more views, which is why so many people are expressing their distaste for this video.
A lot of coyote fans/stans will try and defend this behavior (many, if not most, are kids who don’t understand that just because someone seems cool in a video doesn’t mean their production team won’t pull shady stuff for views...) but anyone who’s been on UA-cam for a long time and knows how the UA-cam game works can see this was clickbait and scummy behavior for a scientific channel such as this to employ.

Kids should have no fear of a skull of an animal, that's absurd. They have them at zoos, museums, and have been featured on many Brave Wilderness videos. Death is just as natural as birth. They need to understand it, not taught to be terrified of it.
@@tszhoevanlai8911 Wowee, you must think Christians are a bunch of gullible idiots to think this is real and even if it was so what? A kid wouldn’t be scared either, they’d probably think it was awesome.

I literally saw a hairy creature in the background when you said don't come any closer this is my territory when you first find the tree
All I know is the wilderness is a beautiful area and stunning.
Dude I would love to hear your story. You got a UA-cam channel or something
Thanks!

How many large mammals die each year approximately?
