- Join founding members Allan R. Aguirre & Omar Domkus as they discuss the early days of 1983 Los Angeles / Hollywood Punk Rock and the formation of Christianity's seminal Punk Rock original: Scaterd Few.
Praise God! I’m so happy about your faith in the Lord!
Awesome man, so cool to go back through their history with them.
First CD I ever bought. Still on regular rotation. The jewel case is long gone. But the disk is still here. Wow!!! Gonna listen to this a few times. As a bassist, probably infected by you guys, and as a man with some sort of faith, as ill defined as it may be, rambling…. But freedom cry is an all time favourite.
Such a great band! Sin Disease will never drop from my musical rotation. Such a varied, perfectly balanced mix of styles.
Was super bummed when FB live never happened! So thankful to find it here!!
Yeah, still looking into what happened there. Glad you found us!
I missed it? Six months ago? Damn!
Sin Disease - solid album. Thank you for making it. It gave xian music exactly the shot in the arm it needed.
What a great video. Thrilled that Allan became the singer. He is one of the absolute best hands down. Scaterd Few were such a brilliantly diverse band. They can do so many styles, all truly excellent. Perfect Rock songs, punk, reggae, acoustic ballad, new wave, simply incredible. Would be awesome if Allan, Omar and Sam would get together for anything- live, new music, etc. Regardless, I'd grab any version of a new SF album without needing to hear one note.
I'm so sad I missed this! I didn't realize it was on UA-cam.
Glad you found it!
:)
WOW EPIC EARLY CHRISTIAN PUNK HISTORY HERE !
Really enjoyed the livestream, thanks for taking the time, guys! The forced and unnecessarily divisive political comments were really disappointing, though. Come on Allan, you can do better. You have plenty of left-leaning fans, maybe love and try to understand them like Jesus would, rather than trying to ostracize them? Unfortunately, open hatred of "liberals" seems to be one of those non-Christ-like behaviors that some Christians have decided are not just acceptable, but encouraged. Sad.
No mention of Jamie Mitchell..?
Cornerstone is the reason I heard scattered few...js. I didn't even go. Lol. Sin disease was ahead of its time. Seriously! And so good live!
Can we still ask questions? 😁 A few that didn't occur to me during the stream:
1. What does DITC stand for?
2. Was the misspelling of the word "scattered" intentional? Seems like a good move in retrospect, definitely sets the name apart.
3. If you had a nickel for every time somebody pointed out that it should be spelled "scattered," how rich would you be?
Good questions!
1: Division in the Church
2. Yes.
3. I don’t think anyone actually ever tried to correct us. Artistic license maybe.
Thanks for playin’!
@@TravelogueNetwork Whoa. I don't know whether to be thrilled or bummed that I'm the first one to ever mention it.
...I'm going with the former!
@@chrisedmonds lol
I met you guys at a Bible study in Dallas hosted by Sanctified Noise.
Like 1989 or 90.
Scaterd Few is still one my favorite bands.
Glad you are doing well!
I knew the guys in Sanctified Noise 😮 was in Oak Cliff in 88. Saw shows at the Prophet in deep Ellum.
