“They Should Be Impartial!” Police Scotland Accused Of Parodying JK Rowling At Hate Crime Event

- Police Scotland has been accused of targeting Harry Potter author JK Rowling at an official hate crime event in February.
It is believed attendees were presented with a fictional character called Jo who is a passionate gender critical campaigner, who calls for transgender people to be sent to gas chambers.
Women’s groups claim the fictional situation is a parody of the famed writer, but Police Scotland say they are not instructing officers to target actors and comedians under new hate crime laws.
TalkTV’s Peter Cardwell discusses the story with former Met Police detective superintendent Shabnam Chaudhri.

I’ve come to the conclusion that the attacks on JKR are part of a much deeper hidden agenda that wish to cancel her & have the phenomena of Harry Potter become socially unacceptable & banned. If you read between the lines of the Harry Potter chronicles, it’s an expose on what’s happening right now. The dementors fear the neuro typical learning a defence against the dark arts. You may think I’m barking, but I read all the books 1st time round at insistence of my then young daughter. On reflection I see so many reflections in the facets of every day life.

Same here - I'm deleting everything at the end of the month. The changes to what you're allowed to think change overnight and are so absurd that you could never predict them.
I'm also 'pulling up the drawbridge'. We're retired. We've planted prickly hedges all around our property and are going to live out our days working on our garden, growing our food, keeping chickens and ducks - we have woodburner and solar generators. Lovely rural views and our dogs.

What I find interesting about 'Hate speech' or even 'Hate crime' laws. Is that during the attempt by Parliament to remove boat crossings immigrants, the court stated that laws had to be in line with the ECHR. Well if you read article 10 on your human rights when it comes to free speech it says "protects your right to hold your own opinions and to express them freely without government interference. This includes the right to express your views aloud (for example through public protest and demonstrations) or through: published articles, books or leaflet"
Then add article 11 of freedom of association "1. Everyone has the right to freedom of peaceful assembly and to freedom of association with others, including the right to form and to join trade unions for the protection of his interests.
2. No restrictions shall be placed on the exercise of these rights other than such as are prescribed by law and are necessary in a democratic society"
Why does this never apply in a UK court. But the one on immigrants does. I find it very suspicious.
You have to listen carefully to the words. Police Scotland said that it is NOT instructing officers to parody actual people. Weasel words. The parodying occurred by Scotland police officers whether or not this was sanctioned by their bosses.

I wonder if the Scaliphate (safe using that until 1/4/24) has considered the potential impact on tourism. I don't see anywhere on the VisitScotland site which warns potential tourists of the Hate Crime Bill. It won't be good for Scotland's image if tourists, especially those from non-English speaking countries, unknowingly transgress and are charged with offences. I believe this is very important as the Bill does not clearly articulate what an offence is.
