I have mixed emotions watching this video … I feel glad that she got away from that toxic situation, but on the other hand sad that she had to go through this. Kudos for her surviving. She seems like such a sweet young lady. I wish her the best. May God’s favor and abundance follow her as she continues to share her story.

6:00 YES MA'AM!!! This needs to be talked about more, cause SO many of us go through this. When you don't feel loved, you Fantasize it. And it takes YEARS ( for some) to realize how damaging that is to our growth/maturity.

Creating boundaries with someone who is used to you not having any with them, is very difficult. Most times the person doesn't accept it and crosses those lines out of selfishness and disrespect. When you see it you have to actually walk away and that part is hard as well.

Before walking away you should confront them straight first and observe. Then walk away if needed.

Last thing…until both men and women understand that it takes two to tango and that we both have to understand each other and move accordingly and want better for each other these broken relationships will continue and remove drugs and alcohol and see how much you have in common with said person. Please take that for what it is!

I'm glad she saught help in clinical therapy because clinical therapy isnt encourage in the church. I was always critical of Derrick because to be a Black loving man requires to address the patriachary and to that he has not done. Patriarchy cannot produce Black loving adults.

It’s unfortunate that because she is now in the limelight she may get the fake upfront again because too much is being shared publicly that shouldn’t be. I would have declined answering the question on what I’m looking for in order to cross that relationship into marriage. I pray they both heal and become better people. Whatever that looks like for them.

I'm so glad she's doing well and wants to educate other women on how to protect themselves however this interviewer seemed impatient and not allowing her to respond completely and he was also creepy in some instances like asking how he wonders who else got raped.

Honestly, I know there are different styles of podcast/interview shows but, the dear future wifey podcast covered and navigated all of these topics while making it entertaining, funny, making her feel comfortable and not judged. I was expecting different questions and to get something different. It almost feel like this was a boring version of the other one. Daniah is actually funny and charming. But she is introverted so it takes someone to make her feel comfortable to show that side of herself. This felt uncomfortable and off.

Marriage is private, and that's forever. Just because it didn't work out doesn't mean you now get to heal/validated by dragging your ex. It sounds like you went into that marriage an already broken woman. So it's likely you both took your own share of mess into the situation. Neither of you should say or do anything to taint the others reputation. When it's over, we gi and we grow in private.
