I was born in Bpt and heard about this many times. My mom grew up right near the house, and the story terrified her. She told me about the talking cat and all that. There used to be an old WW2 weapons factory there as well that was fearured on Ghost Adventures. It was the Remington Arms Factory.
@@HometownGhostStoriesmy grandmother passed away in the home two years ago. She complained of various things about the home. Stuff like odd drafts and spirits. She was highly religious and spoke broken English so who knows. She also complained a lot in general. I tried to go into the home as little as possible. My wife and kids have never been inside. She says just in case. My brother owns it now. My brother complains of nothing, but he has also renovated everything inside.
So, I was 10 in 1974 and if you were alive and living in Bridgeport at the time, you've heard about this house. As I can remember, it was in the paper and on the news but I got an earful on that November day when my school (St. Peter's School) had a church event that we had to attend in the evening. Before we went into the church, we met in our 4th-grade classroom next door, and literally, all the kids were talking about it. Since I was only 10, I was scared big time! The reporter who wrote the original story frequented my corner store and it was the topic of discussion from the store owners as well. I don't remember how long this was in the limelight in Bridgeport but it wasn't until many years later, when I took a wrong turn driving that I ended up on Lindley Street and found myself driving past that house. It looked innocuous in the 90s. But it was cool to finally see it face to face.
I was one of fools standing out in front of the house . And I did see those two swans on the front porch we're looking out at an angle at one time they did turn and look at each other. I snuck around to the back of the house tried to go up on the back porch and look in the windows but the cops chasing me away real quick. November 1st 2023 people still don't believe me but yes I saw what I saw.
Laura was 100% native American as well who did not have any friends growing up. I would have thought that that would have made her be more understanding for helping her daughter cope with school and social interactions.
This is all real. I have lived in this area for 50 years!! Connecticut is fuked!! So many experiences in my life and I did the plumbing on a house across the street from 966 Lindley! 966 is very unimpressive!! The area is not spooky at all!! The house is right in the middle of an urban, almost ghetto area. My boss was in the same grade school room as Marcia!! He said everyone picked on her. He told me he didn't but felt bad and actually walked the same route home with her after school. I have also spent time with the Warrens and they are legit. God is real and so is the devil!! I'm not positive about aliens but I have witnessed many ufo and atmosphere activity.
There was so much reported activity in that home by people inside, and the crowds outside. But those news crews didn't catch anything on film. I don't think she did move the TV with her foot or anything else. I think the higher ups got that one officer to say he saw her fake something and get her to admit it, so they could end this situation.
I just found out about this the other night. I'm originally from meriden CT and wasn't born yet, but being into ghost hunting/paranormal stuff I'd at least have heard about it.
I was there also back then I live in Bridgeport and that house was on the other side of town I was in front of that house in 1974 I use to live on the east side across from Washington park back in 1968 I left conn in 1980 I live in Pennsylvania now but I remember when that happened I was one of them people standing in front of that house I will never forget that day it was something else.
Flippin awesum research! Watched different videos. This one by far I learned a lot more! Numerology is interesting too! Mayb a Shaman form Marcias tribe 🤔
I heard from the Warrens on what happened at 966 lindley st Bridgeport Connecticut in an interview. It's nothing like you ppl are describing it. You shouldn't take it from its authenticy. I do think this house could be the most haunted in America history. Just because there were so many witnesses. Jingle Bells
This one is a little different. Check out “The World’s Most Haunted House” by professional magician, William J. Hall. There’s a boatload of actual police reports that were filed in this case. The Dept’s official position was that it was a hoax, but that was likely a ploy to dissipate crowds. The actual police reports are all very similar that something “unusual” was going on.
They are very real.just because you personally haven't experienced it doesn't mean it's not real. This is your own opinion . I personally have experienced the paranormal as have so many others . So you can't speak for others .definitely not for me! Like I said your opinion!
You are lucky to have never experienced anything. I have lived in 2 haunted houses one of which I am pretty sure was a demonic entity. When I moved in, there was a Baphomet mural painted on the basement wall, witchcraft paraphernalia and a pentagram painted 36:35 on the floor. The rent was cheap and I was living in abuse anyway so I took it. You never take anything lightly again after it. Some of my experiences were very similar to the stories at this place. It was the scariest time of my life and STILL makes my hair stand on end when I think of it. My landlord knew too. I was let out of the lease early and didn't have to pay another dime to her.
I was 15 at the time this happened, my mom drove from Waterbury Connecticut to Bridgeport when we heard about the incident. I was near that house at one point, I did hear banging and things breaking inside the house. It was an event I won't forget. I was afraid for years after I experienced that event. I can't believe that one kid can do everything that was happening. I never believed in this crap until that event. It felt weird being next to that house. I was young and it was in your face, type of feeling. Maybe looking back on it, the crowd of people who were there might have contributed to the energy of the weird feelings. I do believe that most of the events were really supernatural. That's my opinion. I do think the Warrens embellish some of these events for popularity and profit. I don't like when all these so called paranormal investigators use their boxes of trickery, ie, the spirit box, the lighting box with the different color lights. The random word generator box. That's bullshit. What takes a life time to experience a paranormal happening, these paranormal investigators experience multiple happenings on every show. To me, I'm sorry, that's bullshit. I believe this Bridgeport case is real though.
I think calling them bullshit is a bit ridiculous. Do I think everything captured is 100% paranormal? No. But based on investigations we've done, the amount of time we put into debunking anything caught to present unexplainable evidence, has helped me understand what I'm looking for and what the equipment is capable of.- Rob
There was a event, back in the mid 1980sin Lee Massachusetts. I actually drove there from Waterbury Connecticut, I was in my mid 20s, me and a friend saw yellow police tape around the property, because the owners of the house had to stay with a neighbor because of the activity going on. We sat in front of the house for about an hour, we couldn't see or hear anything from the road , no lights going off or on, no noises we could hear. It doesn't mean it wasn't real, we were there for only one hour.

This has to be one of the least “well-publicized” hauntings ever. Never heard of it until today.
There's a few I stumble across sometimes still that I go "How have I never heard of this"- Rob
My family currently owns the house. I enjoy buying my siblings haunted merch for laughs

This should be a movie
Unfortunately it will never be a movie for the simple fact that it takes place in a small house. No real good shots in a setting of a small house.

It happened because her native American ancestors were mad she was taken out of family

Good make- believe for the gullible 😅
Many of the police officers and members of the fire department made sworn affidavits to the activity that they witness with their own eyes......
