- 40-year-old Korean table tennis player Joo Sae-hyuk was a member of team Ryukyu Asteeda in Nojima T.League 2019-2020. Here are some of his best shots collected from 18 matches (16 singles and 2 doubles) Joo played. Joo had an overall record of 8 wins and 10 defeats. His opponents included Takuya Jin, Jun Mizutani, Hou Yingchao, Masaki Yoshida, Jin Ueda, Asuka Machi, Masataka Morizono, Yūki Matsuyama, Masaki Takami, Tomokazu Harimoto, Kenta Tazoe, Yukiya Uda, and Kazuhiro Yoshimura.

This is probably the most recent and last compilation of the legend JSH, who has now retired. Even in his previous years as a pro player, he is fantastic, some of those points were out of this world. Thank you for this video!!
Joo Sae Hyuk was born in 1980. His longevity is legendary, up there with Timo Boll, Vladimir Samsonov, Hou Yingchao and Jan Ove Waldner. There are few world class defenders anymore, with Ruwen Filus being among the best today.

JSH is simply a rare breed of defender. Defending like an old-school heavy chopper,.counter attacking like a modern swift looper.

Joo Sae-Hyuk is my favorite defender, among men. His forehand loop put him a level above the other choppers. Anyone who gets a chance to watch the 2003 World Table Tennis Championships will see him at his best. He beat Chuang Chih-yuan, Ma Lin, and Kreanga, to make it to the Finals against Werner Schlager. Schlager beat Kim Taek-soo, Wang Liqin, and Kong Linqhui.
Schlager beat Joo 4-2. All their matches were tremendous.

Do you know what setup is he using? Apparently it is not his BTW custom JSH neither the Nexy JSH.... any clues?
There were some screenshots from matches in T.League indicating that he's still using his custom JSH (with normal JSH handle). Actually he never changes his blade in serious matches until 2021.
I think he was still using his bty jsh when he played in this league. Since then he has changed to nexy until his own nexy joo saehyuk comes reality.
In addition to other's comments, on his backhand it might've been TSP Curl P3a, 1.5mm. He switched to medium pips from P1r near the end of his career, and I THINK he was using them during his stint in T. League
No idea what's on his forehand; he also switched to Hurricane 3, but I don't know if he was using it in red (when his FH is black it's definitely H3)
