Very well done with the front cam, how did that black powder taste? Just kidding I have done American Rev and 1812 really enjoyed this thanks for sharing.
Kenitzer Don Glad you liked it, I hope to continue to use the Go Pro for the rest of this seasons events. Fort Ticonderoga, and Daniel Boone's homestead to follow!
I've just really started studying and researching about the rev and the 1700 era, and I loved this vid but I must say you had too have true balls to go through battles like that
Different kind of warfare, definitely would have taken an insane amount of discipline to allow yourself to stand in front of gun fore like that back then
Great video. In the process of joining the 1st Delaware Regiment. Not entirely sure if they do battles but if they do I'm sure I'll be engaging you sometime in a blue coat.
I visited the Royal Welch fuseliers (The British Grendiers) in Wales and it showed how all British Troops had long hair and it was bound in black ribbon that came to a certain length. I like the accuracy of this guy's well done!!
Most will wrap the camera in cloth of some sort so it blends into your uniform, A small black square or whatever about 1x1 isnt too bad in most cases. (reffering to the lense of camera)
+JHouse171 (Son of Liberty) I just checked out your channel and realized that I watched all of those videos of your without noticing! Except the ACW one of course. I really want to reenact, but one thing that I fear is the question if the reenacting community is shrinking. I've read many articles confirming it, and my uncle told me the reason is that the Federal government is making black powder a lot harder to get (He's a hardcore southern sympathizer who use to reenact for a living, stopped due to old age when he got a heat stroke. He is seen in the movie of Gettysburg, Glory, and Gods and Generals. He used to be in the 11th MS group most of the time.) Back to topic, what is your input on all of this? This is something that just really scares me and discourages me to reenact, fearing my expectations of a real like battle will not be met.
+JHouse171 (Son of Liberty) great vid man I wish I can do it again my dad and I use to reenactments he was in command of the 47th north Lancashire grenadier regiment but we stopped because my dad had a stroke and also it was getting to expensive but reenacting is a really fun time I just wish me and him could do it again with the regiment but it pretty much fell apart people stopped doing them and moving away so if we did there would only be like 6 out of 25 men now which sucks
Sir Monkeys actually no, young kids and such as teen can do reenactment, muskets cannons explosions, smokes.. Did you think about music? Drummer, burglar, fifer, bag pipe, other instrument that is used. So size doesn't matter in these type of reenactment.. As long if you know what role fit you.
+Rule Britannia Its Great to hear your interest! We would love to have you join the ranks and serve the King! Since your 15, you wont be able to use the musket yet, although we always could use people on the artillery crew and musicians! I would suggest emailing our recruiter Chip! Here is his email: njcashman@gmail.com Explain your situation and he can lead you in the right direction. My last word of advise would be to visit an event to meet some people. It helps to see faces before you join. Our next event is the battle of Germantown (October 3rd)
I've seen you guys at last year's Brandywine reenactment which is how I heard of you guys. I'll contact Chip in the near future and we'll see what happens from there. Thanks
+deathfromasian Yes that is true, I'm a re-enactor myself (medieval 14th century but still) and yes the majority like armour/clothes you have to provide yourself as it has to fit you and costs a lot. Weapons, if someone in the group has something spare laying around you can usually borrow it until you have bought/made whatever it is you are borrowing yourself.
+George Barone, The thing to do if you are closing the distance with real bayonets is level your musket higher than your opponent so that your are pointing your musket over his/her shoulder and away from their face.
Productive Pro Gangsta They do not use the ramrod because they are firing blanks, and also someone may forget to take it out of the barrel, shooting the ramrod at innocent people.
Spartacus0488 well what you can do is you can go to a local event, and tell them you want to join. You can bring up you can’t afford th equipment and they’ll surely have gear you can borrow
so i noticed not to be a stickler for acuracy but just saying the reason i like civil war living history events is because the use there ram rods why don't you guys do this
Every event is a little different, if your tactically out manuverd, or if it's a historical battle, whoever is the lose make sure to take some hits. To give you an idea, I have never lived a battle
+Jace Eubanks When reenactors die, they usually choose to die. Especially if it is on a hot day and they are under some shade or next to water. Sometimes, however, the officer will say something like, "On the next volley, four people die!" Other times, they will have marked cartridges, and when they use that cartridge, it means they will die after the volley, and depending on the amount of deaths in the battle they are recreating, there will be lots or little marked cartridges.
+Braden Gradwell, If you watch earlier on in the video, at several points he was dumping black powder because his musket was misfiring, either due to a loose flint, or bad spring, or any number of things. The thing to do in a re-enactment situation is if your musket has misfired three times or more then you're technically DEAD. That's the rule.
7:48 i love how you see a "bullet" before the guy drops
O_O
Hol up
When the quiet kid starts reenacting
u mean ball
I doubt it. It's probably a bug or something. They don't use real projectiles since it's too dangerous lol.
There's not many good videos out there like this, thank for sharing it!
"I think we should take the funnel cake place first" I laughed way too hard
Nash Guinther i laugh to hard when they fake there death
Nash Guinther plot twist they filled it with lead and they really dead
M
It would be funny if they did a dramatic death during the reenactment
Bruh press grant is dead bro
I was in this battle, however I am in the Third PA Lights. Nice you could do this.
Has there every been a case where someone has gotten the gun powder in their mouth? I was just watching you tear the cartridges
+TK Gaming It happens. Same for Civil War reenactors.
It tastes awful
And in the actual battles.
It tastes so good, im a civil war Reenactor and i always eat it on purpose
It happens, it tastes bad at first but you get used to it.
7:58 DAT CHARGE THO
Garrison the distillery ... priceless
Huzzah the day is ours men.
Priority. Lol
2:59 damn good volley
Sounds like a single shot
I'm an American but I do love your videos of the reenactments
Very well done with the front cam, how did that black powder taste? Just kidding I have done American Rev and 1812 really enjoyed this thanks for sharing.
Kenitzer Don Glad you liked it, I hope to continue to use the Go Pro for the rest of this seasons events. Fort Ticonderoga, and Daniel Boone's homestead to follow!
+The Raged Boss Yes but when you join they'll loin you stuff until you get your own kit
+The Raged Boss 16
@@JHouse171 Could you do a video explaining how you position the camera? I would like to film my re-enactments and this format is my favorite!
@@JHouse171 Where do you position the camera? This format has to be by far the best position for the GoPro, or whatever you’re using.
I've just really started studying and researching about the rev and the 1700 era, and I loved this vid but I must say you had too have true balls to go through battles like that
Different kind of warfare, definitely would have taken an insane amount of discipline to allow yourself to stand in front of gun fore like that back then
What's the string on your muskets used for? I couldn't find out. Besides, those cannons must have a lot of powder in them.
The welsh fusiliers are fusiliers not grenadiers, The difference is normally minimal.
4:22
Nice volley! ~Private, 4th Regt. of the Massachusetts Line, NWTA.
that huzzah part tho
Very nice video, love the "Horn of Gondor" comment lol
Do you get special death rules since you're filming?
Yes the power of God mode
There are no death rules. You fall whenever you want unless the off chance the officer has a idea
will this event happen again if so it might be the only I ever visit America
Great video. How do you hide your Go Pro? I have one also and want to do this for civil war reenacting. I have a strap as well.
Most will wrap the camera in cloth of some sort so it blends into your uniform, A small black square or whatever about 1x1 isnt too bad in most cases. (reffering to the lense of camera)
Best volleys (in my opinion)

Men Fire at Will..Man awesome.Do u guys have flags too.?Btw i would love to join the 43rd and learn the tactics, learn to fire muskets and more.
I watched one reenactment video and now every recommended section for me has at least 1 reenactment video. Thanks, UA-cam. No, seriously. Thanks!
What is Allaire Village? Description, please! Not obvious to non-locals.
theOlLineRebel did you find out yet?
Can anybody tell me what the song in the beginning is, the very first one, I've been trying to find it for a while and I can't.. thanks!
also how do you know when you are dead do you have like a script or something or is it random
About to faint from heat exhaustion? out of ammo? gun wont fire? those are good reasons to die
Maverick Fenstermacher aometimes there are markings on the catrigaes or you have papers with instructions it deepends on who mades the event.
That grasshopper gun gave off a hell of a noise. Also, you mentioned Ticonderoga. Will that be Browns Raid?
David Bowen Yes, I will be at the Brown's Raid event hoping to get some good footage over the weekend.

awesome vid man, whats the song in the beginning called?
The song is the iconc, "British Grenadier's"
rule britannia
+JHouse171 (Son of Liberty) great vid man I wish I can do it again my dad and I use to reenactments he was in command of the 47th north Lancashire grenadier regiment but we stopped because my dad had a stroke and also it was getting to expensive but reenacting is a really fun time I just wish me and him could do it again with the regiment but it pretty much fell apart people stopped doing them and moving away so if we did there would only be like 6 out of 25 men now which sucks
Darude sandstorm
+supersaiyanjesus36 wrong it is Rule Britannia
What's the Fife music played at start?
British Grenadiers
Can anyone tell me the age limit for re-enacting
Uncle SAM!!! You have to be believeably tall, able to reload a musket, able to wear a uniform properly, and able to fire a musket.
Uncle SAM!!! Anyone can do it. you can be a American Frontiersman and just be a civilian because that is a great way to learn before you be a soldier.
There’s no age limit, anyone of any race, or age can do it. To fire a weapon like in the video, you do have to be at least 16
How can I hid a go pro during a civil war reenactment
This is extremely late, bit get a cheap hat and hole it. It's about the most discreet way.
Really been looking to join the 43rd, but I'm only 15. Any tips on how to start?
+kilergot right. The 43rd is actually the regiment that's near me

what do you guys shoot? is it blanks or what
Man this is way too entertaining
awesome cam :v, ive always wanted to try reenactments, i heard if u wanna get into reenactments you have to provide all the gear urself is that true?
sdlg :v

What was there like 50 reenactors a side
2015 was 9 years ago?!
I love the high pitch recorder in the backround
how often do you have these events?
the name of the first music?
Alex_RKO Britannia Rules The Waves
thank you so much
Jandro Its rule Britannia, actually
Niklas Gosink thanks
More videos
Do you use blanks?
What happens if you actually close to fighting distance with the Bayonets? Can you fight with them?
They are rubber bayonets if they are reenacting
+AreFrogsReal? No we actually use real bayonets
+George Barone, The thing to do if you are closing the distance with real bayonets is level your musket higher than your opponent so that your are pointing your musket over his/her shoulder and away from their face.
it is pain when the ammo has been shoot at your body?
Do the guns burn your hands when you reload?
In some cases you'll see people blow on it.
They are not using the stick to reload the barrel?
Productive Pro Gangsta They do not use the ramrod because they are firing blanks, and also someone may forget to take it out of the barrel, shooting the ramrod at innocent people.
nice video man i wanan do this but i cant afford the euipetment
same and no time to fly down
Spartacus0488 well what you can do is you can go to a local event, and tell them you want to join. You can bring up you can’t afford th equipment and they’ll surely have gear you can borrow
hey who did that?
10:24 that was badass
Were those guns real? I think not but theweyy look cool.
Yes. They are real guns. I know people who have successfully hunted with theirs
Very nice video and cool battle, thumbs up
Is the musket balls real?
They don't put the ball in. This is why you don't see them ram. Just the powder
Oh ok
Uhh,in the video, theres something blocking the left part of the camera..
its white
it's his ammo pouch strap
The beginning reminds me of the promotion of commodore Norrington in Pirates of the Caribbean
Richard Benej I love that movie
i really wanna do the reenactment, but sadly i'm from differernt country :c
I think they might do reenactments internationally but I’m not fully sure.
@@snorf525 but im from Asia
wre is this place i want to be drumer
This is great I do civil war reenacting 1st geo. state liners this looks like it's just as fun
+chris burns I wish I could Civil War reenact. Studying the American Civil War is everyday life for me.
+James W. Starnes yes welcom to my wold man would you believe i train my friend in the tacktics
Watching this makes me want to go watch the Patriot now. Nice video.
Even better, join the ranks of the 43rd and fight for your freedom and safety!
OUCH!! I feel sorry for the guy at 7:50. Because I know how bad it feels dying on Pavement. It Hurts!
I love this war
What y'all shoot out the gun or they just blanks
No they have real musket balls in them
+waffles4ev3r so why they not like dying if they get shot in the chest or face
+evan thompson It seems you don't get sarcasm.
NO we shot a cannon at them
HUZZAH it’s the British grenadier song at the beginning :/
I liked the vid though
i know the sound of that fife, they were playing "The British Grenadiers"
thomas lampkins also 17th like
And Rule Britannia
yes that too
Great vid!
Hello I'm collin and I am happy to ma,e you videos and I will make a video very week or so
so i noticed not to be a stickler for acuracy but just saying the reason i like civil war living history events is because the use there ram rods why don't you guys do this
Because that compacts whatever is in the barrel into a projectile-like form. A rammed shot wadding would kill someone
john Mullholand thank you
A shot wadding wouldn't kill anyone. Been shooting muskets for years . . . as John Mullholand said someone might forget the ramrod.
Maverick Fenstermacher I'm a civil war reenactor we aren't allowed to us ramrods it's a safety hazard
Basically retards forget to take it out and it turns into a harpoon gun... though it's more of a facepalm inducing cringefest than a hazard.
love the small talk between you guys lmao
ah but what is war without making fun of your officers?
This looks so fun!
How to you know if you died
Every event is a little different, if your tactically out manuverd, or if it's a historical battle, whoever is the lose make sure to take some hits. To give you an idea, I have never lived a battle
JHouse171 oh thanks

OMG
That's Amazing
Like "The Patriot"
With Mel Gibson of "Braveheart"

Hi
Love it
I thought he said 23rd at first i was like BROTHER lol
why did you fall

oh thanks
If it's real bullets then I won't be in that war
Musket balls*
Lol "the gorn of gondor"
do they use airsoft to reenact wars?
It’s just loose black powder, no projectiles
Beautiful bayonet P.O.V with the Go Pro once more!!!!! You are an incredible actor and joke under tones and seriousness is way cool!
Ито типа страйкбол?
Cool
is it real

If you want to win I would suggest to be with America(in a battle like this).
+oludumile He probably wouldn't, because I would think he's British due to his profile picture, and all the reenactments he's done.
